Hey guys, I've flashed my Galaxy Ace to the Ice Cream Sunday(Update 1.2) ROM and I found that I can't log in to the FriendCaster. It shows me error on line 2 after I submit my email and password. Is anybody here know how to solve it? Thanks!

It's a problem in CM7 , including that barebones ROM

If you have a titanium backup of the working, already logged in application then just restore.
I have even raised it with the friendcaster's developers to give me an alternative way of signing in. But they have replied back stating that they cannot bypass the oauth either.
For now, I find facebook too heavy on the resources for the Ace. Besides, it's slow sluggish and irritating no matter how fast the connection is.
Any recommendations?

login friendcaster from stockrom. then backup using titanium backup. restore it on cm7.

Yea. I did a backup of login-ed FriendCaster and restore on CM7.
Still the same problem.
Just an observation
What I realized is that the issue was the way in which oauth is implemented in friendcaster, rather than a generic fb login issue with CM7.
For example, Trillian and the "facebook notifications-free and prem. app" don't have any issues authorizing in.

If u want an chat app try facebook messenger frm market. It works on cm7 roms.

The problem is that, the default fb app is one of most lousiest apps out there. Once you try friendcaster, you can't go back to an overgrown app like that. I really wish we had more alternatives to the default fb app.

For a fact, none of the CM7 based ROMs for Ace work..

I've used Firstua & coderom. Fb authentication works on both roms.

Guys I am having a problem in running Facebook on third party apps like seesemic and other apps....I am not able to login into Facebook on this apps...I am getting this problem from last 1month before it used to work.
I tried different roms too but the issue is not getting solved please help...

Recently, Go SMS pro had updated to a newer version at 16/12/2011.
As my SGA (rooted, CM7.2 cooper KANG vo-1 flashed with turbo 8.5) installed the newest version of Go SMS pro, it crashed every single time when I tried to open the Apps.
Is there any solution to this? Anyone facing this problem too? Sorry for my bad english.
I didn't update . I think you should downgrade to the older version if you have a titanium backup of the older version

1. Is there any other SMS apps as good as GO SMS PRO except Handcent SMS that can replace stock SMS?
I have already update GO SMS Pro to the newest version, and works for mi perfectly on CM 7.2. Did you try to clear the data of this app?

To be honest nothing can beat Go in terms of mms applications (though their developer team seems shady)
I want to know can the messaging app (mms.apk) of MIUI be used in this ROM..because i tried MIUI GB RC2 messaging app in this ROM but it always force closes..all other apps of that ROM are working fine in this ROM too...
So i wanna know if there is a way by which it can be done...or maybe suggest other mms.apk of other ROMs which can do the following things:
1) Display that checklist of contacts for multiple sending
2) Allow to send as many contacts in one go (nice feature of MIUI)
I luv this ROM..its jst that i wanna get this sms thing to be fast and efficient

well yes it works for sure(currently using that only ) but i was looking for a lite thing...just like stock contacts apk is..go sms takes up about 20mb of ur RAM
uncheck the "keep in memory" option of Go SMS
anyway, one of my friends said handcent works well....you could try that

Hi to all,
I'm having problems with Skype and Facebook I write now what is the problems.
Skype closes automaticly, I've cancel the cache and stopped and done all the installation again but nothing changes.
Facebook I cannot upload photos from the Galery.
I have:
ROM UHLPS neatRom Lite v3.0.1 Themed
KERNEL 3.0.37 - Siyah - [email protected] #37

First, don't double post.
Second, update the two apps to their latest version.
Third, if you still can't upload to Facebook from your gallery, even after the update, download quick pic from Google playstore Anna try again.

- wipe cache partition
- wipe dalvik cache
- fix permissions.

i hope this is the right forum. i have installed cm9 on my samsung i9001 (galaxy s plus) so far so good, beta 2 is running smoothly.
sadly there is no standard email application included in that install, or correct me if i am wrong, at least i couldnt find any.
and whats even more sad is i cant download the gmail app from the market because of my location and something i believe is a name infringement or whatever...
so i am in need of a descent email app. i am currently running a gmail.apk for the v2.3.5. which is kinda buggy...
i think the best for me would be the email app that comes with the sgs+ on stock rom or an up to date gmail.apk would be nice too.
since email is kinda delicate i dont want to use any 3rd party app from the market or is there anything trustworthy?
please help me!

Try K9 mail. If an email app is not trustworthy there would be bad reviews.
