Service update wont complete - HTC EVO 3D

So, I've gotten the update twice now. Both times, it's failed. As in, an hour after it pops up, nothing has happened and I have to cancel it. First time I restarted to stop a loop of the updates. Second time was about an hour and a half ago, and it just didn't do anything.
All I want is the update, anybody else have experience with this issue?

Did my phone update?

My phone was connecting with something today, then I had a message saying I had an update. So I downloaded it, it said I may wait up to 10 minutes, but it took less than 30 seconds and the phone rebooted. But it seems like its the exact same. I'm not sure if I even got the update. I checked in settings and its saying my firmware is up to date.
My vibrant is rooted, with stock software, with gps fix and lag fix. Any ideas? Is there a way to find out if its updated?

From your home screen, click on the settings, go to About phone Look at baseband version, if it reads T959UVJI6. then you are updated.

[Q] Can anyone update HTC apps?

Trying to watch Green Hornet but the HTC software update wont start so I can watch it. Anyone else dealin with this?
Me. I did a few OTA updates soon as I got the phone and then when I tried to watch the Green Hornet it prompted 3 more updates and have been at 0% for over an hour now, and I've tried Wifi, 3g, and 4g smh......
Same here...servers must be slammed with everyone trying to do the same thing.
edit...working now.
Now mines says "Application updates (2/3) (paused)
yeah looks like its working now
got mine at 8am and its still hasnt downloaded the update, these servers need to get it together
I had to retry about four times before mine updated.

Force Shutdown

Has anyone ever experience this problem when in the middle of watching a video from a website? Was watching a video yesterday and all of the sudden my Note shutdown and restart on it's own. Wondering if it's the phone or the website?
Also when I restart my phone, at times it can't read apps that are saved in sd and I have to restart it all over again.
Thinking whether I should trade the phone for a new note. I've got 5 days left...

you have to be more specific ? are you rooted? what rom? stock? overclocked? those are crucial in determining errors and reboots!

All stock. I haven't even decided to root it yet. I was using the stock browser when I was watching the video. But it just came to mind that this isn't the first time this phone rebooted itself without me doing anything to it. The last time it did earlier was when I try to unlock the phone from sleep and it boot itself again.
I should've returned this phone a week ago or so, but I held on to it thinking maybe it might not be the phone but oh well. It keeps doing this crap. I'm returning it today, first thing when the nearest AT&T store opens.

strange thing

last night, or early this morning, my phone woke me up vibrating, and it was rebooting, anyone else had this happen, what the heck??
I've had my phone randomly reboot once while in my pocket. This was before the update. No idea what caused it, but it hasn't done it again so I'm not too worried.

well this is the first time it ever did that, i don't know, i'm on the new software. oh well i checked everything out nothing change so, maybe a glitch of sorts?
I've had a mid-day random reboot as well. I wasn't aware of anything happening before I heard it recycling. I had been installing and uninstalling a few apps that failed to work the evening before though and hadn't rebooted. I just chalked it up to system cleaning out toxic trash. It only happened once. There didn't seem to be any fundamental system changes afterward.

I've had a few issues since the update. My messages come in clumps now, rather than immediately after they're sent, and the other day when I had full signal, my phone wouldn't send/receive messages, nor could I make calls. Rebooting the phone didn't help, either. I did a factory data reset, and all has been well since.
Very strange, I wonder if Sense 4.1 is coming with some buggies
I've been experiencing the same. Random reboots every few days. My bluetooth earpiece will disconnect first (if I'm on a call), and then the phone reboots about 10 seconds later. Completely stock here (cuz Verizon blows goats), but with the latest OTA update. Various apps installed, all from Play store, none sideloaded. I'm unaware of any app or app update whose installation would coincide with the start of this behavior, but I did not have the issue prior to the OTA update, FWIW.

While we talk about random reboots, I had mine reboot today in the morning, while I was listening to music... not cool man. And as an added perk, my widgets became invisible upon reboot. I had to long press them all to make them visible again, and one app seemed to auto-delete itself as noted in another thread...

Is the Update Phone Software Menu Hanging for Anybody else?

I was just playing with my phone and thought I'd check for an update to phone software. Surprisingly, the message that usually pops (saying your OS is up to date) isn't showing up and instead, it just keeps searching. Is something brewing???
Don't know if anything is "brewing" but mine is doing the same as yours...Verizon V980 @ 7:55 AM CST.
What version are you using? Sprint got an update a week or two ago now
