Anyone seen this, the screen on my skyrocket looks almost like it's dirty on the inside, it's streaky and splotchy especially at low brightness settings.
I noticed it when I was catching up a bit on a book in bed, it was quite distracting. I've never seen this before.
I've seen it to nothing to worry about though. It seems all the super amoled plus screen got this problem at low brightness settings.

i have seen others say the same thing about theres......BUT others like ME say that the screen is fine i dont see any of that. dark or bright.
i am Happy
it was like that with the OGSGS2 that I got.. when you lower the brightness you can see all the "flaws". now with the Skyrocket I see exactly the same thing.
I am starting to htink it's "normal" on these screen.
Yeah same with Infuse, I love my screen, loved the Infuse screen.
Could we please not post Skyrocket stuff in the GS2 general section?
MOD: Please make a new section for the Skyrocket. It has nothing to do with the AT&T GS2...

Well i woke up and drove out to sprint way earlier today.
I have to admit, i did give a split thought to the evo3d because they got the 2.3.4 update. But no way could it make everything perfect in that ota. So i went with my original choice.
This phone is sexy. It is really fast... doing side by side actions with the epic on gb, the photon was twice as fast if not more in some areas.
Pure computing power this phone noticeably crushes my epic.
Not once was i frustrated an app didnt open instantly, how
I wanted my epic experience to be.
The fone is growing on me and i love it more the longer i have it.
I love the MOTOBLUR. Great balance between pure google and overlay ui. Very cool experience you cant find with any other oem ui.
Like the extensive integration with social networks.
I love how the stock music player does the lyrics, that was a surprise today. And many other cool things but i have to cut this short. But i have to mention, the screens on the display units are not the same on our consumer handsets. It looked complete trash on the demo, but my fone screen is amazing.. no screen issues at all. I did have call bug very first call. Remove sim and im good.
And lastly, i understand about you guys saying youre not eorried about the Galaxy anymore. I may keep this.
Something about pulling up gps status and getting INSTANT 9 of 9 sats inside the appartment with zero error that makes me feel all warm and goey inside

Very cool you got u one of these Mo-Phos... I think you'll like it.
I'm still on the fence as to whether i'm going to perma-keep mines.. lol
when the GS2 comes out, I'll play with it for sure, but if it has crippled GPS/bluetooth, I'll just stick w/ moto this time.
Ok got a question for all you Prime owners. Before i ask the question let me just say i love my prime no issues for me just lil things but nothing major. If my screen is off and light hits it the right way there are these little fine white lines all over the screen from top to bottom. From the start of the screen to the end.You can also see them when the screen is on if you look hard enough.Anybody else have this problem.Got mines from gamestop.
Not trying to be a ****, but how in any way does this belong in the Development section?
Wrong section. But that's the touch screen grid, don't worry about it.
i just noticed i posted in the wrong forum thought i was in the other.Mods sorry about this if you can remove i would appreciateit thanks.

Ok thanks.Thought it was something else.Yours have this.
its used to find where your fingers magnetic field is coming in contact with the screen which is how capacitive multi-touch screens work, on some devices its very visible like my prime and inspire but others like the iPhone you can't see it at all but I kind of like it I think it looks cool

If your not using your screen much which clearly your not then it is going to be something other than screen at the top, learn how percentages work.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Actually it IS a known issue and there are a few threads on it already.
How is this an issue? Like Lennyuk said, if you don't use your phone that much, then obviously standby would be the nr. 1. power drain.
Actually, both arguments could be correct...
Unless the stock software is extremely efficient, and makes the screen somehow super efficient, then it would be normal for standby to be that high. Another point to note, is are you complaining about battery life? or just the fact that a number on some statistics is high and you don't like it?
The counter argument to that is, if you look at mine on CM9, cell standby is a lot lower. Make of that what you want.

Sounds good, keep us posted
I am coming from an HTC One X and I am generally very pleased with the SGS3....The speed, camera, battery etc. Everything seems better except one thing that is bugging me a lot....I am talking about the UGLY HALOS AROUND TEXT.
I realize Samsung does this oversharpening of everything on-screen (mdnie) but text on grey background especially suffers like the "settings menu in Google Talk"
Am I the only one hating this thing about the display?? Samsung should give us some setting to disable it
In over 2 months of owning the S3 I have never noticed any halos anywhere.

I can post a screenshot but I dont think it will convey too much of what I can see, Maybe some people can not quiet see the effect but coming from a One x., this seems very obvious
Check the screenshot

There are some jagged edges on the text outlines which is quiet visible to my eyes. Hope you guys can see it

Well, text is not super sharp and a little jagged edges. But I don't see the so called 'halos' around texts.

Hey guys! Made a quick unboxing of what you get with the Verizon version of the Galaxy Note 3 for all those that were wondering and haven't got their devices yet, or maybe just haven't gotten back from work yet.

Thanks bro that was a great unboxing. Appreciate that you took the time to do that for those of us that dont have the phone yet or are still deciding to pull the trigger and commit to the Note 3.
Great vid and pics... makes me very excited that I bought the black version. Now I can't sleep the phone will be at my house in 12 hours.
Thanks guys! And no problem. I'm definitely already in love with this phone.

I need to really go check out the black version and see how the feel is. I have white and it feels really slippery in my hand. If the black one feels better I'll be replacing it.
