Wifi or 3G Flyer - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

Hi guys,
This might sound like a silly question but bear with me here...
Does a 3G Flyer only have 3G and no wifi?
And at the other end, does a Wifi Flyer only have wifi with no 3G?
I have a Flyer with both 3G and Wifi so which does that fall into?
/me runs and hides in shame

Yeah , hide in shame.
3g and even 4g (View) Flyers all have wifi also.
Wifi only Flyers have no SIM and no 3g

[Q] 3G & WiFI OR WiFi only?!?

I like the sound of the Flyer but am thinking of which to get...
I already have a Desire HD so can use it as a wireless hotspot so was thinking of getting the Flyer in the WiFi only version but I'm put off a little by it only being 16Gb where as the 3G enabled is 32Gb!
Any thoughts on the 'Watch' app???
Basically I'm not sure and am seeking help and your thoughts on the subject...
Hard to say but I was thinking the same thing you are. I have a Tmobile data plan so the Euro 3G flyer would've worked for me. I can tell you why I chose the wifi only model and maybe that will help.
The 3G model is super expensive so that was the main reason i didn't get it. I figured that with the wifi only version i can just get a hotspot device and save money on future devices too. Now that being said the 3G model can act as a hotspot too...
Sorry. I'm betting that wasn't much help. I think you will be happy either way.
I got the 3g one mainly down to that the only one they had loving it, can't wait till root, so I can play with phone.apk

48 hspa

I searched and couldn't find the answer to this, possibly because it's a stupid question, but here goes. THE Amaze with 48 hspa, does it receive faster data speeds while using Wi-Fi? Or does that only translate to cellular speeds?

Cellular data. Is it faster than wifi? Depends on your internet provider.

No, wifi is the same. 4g is faster than other phones - when you are in 4g coverage.

Here in the Vancouver area I don't know if we actually have 4G coverage (although my 4G icon seems to think so) but there is no question that my wifi connection is faster than my data connection. Waaaaaay faster than my Hero was on wifi. Don't know if that's because the Hero was only "g" whereas the Amaze is "n." When I'm connected through wifi most apps are downloaded and installed practically instantly.

Here in Soviet Russia... Man is faster than 4g!
I'm jk but yes, the hardware for the amaze is better for wifi and cellular data then some of the older models. The op was asking about the hardware relating to cellular data though, which is not related to wifi. But as binary mention it depends on your isp and strength of your router. The g and n doesnt really give you faster download speed, but the difference in signal strength does. g and n gives you faster data transfer between devices connected to the network.

UK based 3g or not to 3g

Hello,
I know its been asked a number of times. But I am based in the UK. I am now looking at the 7" HTC Flyer WiFi 16Gb as I am mainly at home with WiFi or at University which is also saturated with WiFi. When ever not in range of a WiFi I will tether to my Motorola for 3G.
Hence I can't justify the price of a 3G unit.
Based on above does it make sense just to get the WiFi model, again cost wise I can only go to the wifi model.
Thanks
if your budget for only wifi then just wifi
3G version is great since its kinda cell phone replacement

[Q] sprint hotspot

does sprint hotspot work in 4g or just 3g.........????
not sure why but it actually seems faster than Wifi with 4g.
any thoughts?????
Did you search for this question first? Just curious........
And to answer your question, yes and no. For some odd reason I can 4g with the hotspot, but other's can't.
With WiFi tether, however, you can do both.
