[Q] Switch Off S-AMOLED+ when HDMI Out is Active - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'll be using my Samsung Galaxy S2 GT9100 (Stock- ROM) with the below Setup:
ASUS ML238H 23" Monitor (MHL)
Apple Wireless Mobile Keyboard (Bluetooth)
Logitech Mouse V470 (BlueTooth)
The Question:
Is it possible to switch off Phone's Screen during video playback/internet surfing via MHL-HDMI?
Also, I'd like to know if Datasheet/Reference manual/Application Notes of Exynos are available?

Yup i did also like to know this...........can someone tell if its possible?

Can we connect samsung Galaxy S2 to ASUS ML238H 23" Monitor via MHL Adapter???

[Q] Multiple Bluetooth connections to ICS

Hello,
I am wanting to setup a work station to use my phone as a 'desktop'
I have a mhl to hdmi adaptor ordered, I might have to use the 3pin pogo for power to the phone but I need a keyboard and mouse to connect to my phone.
My question is, does ics 4.0.3 on my Galaxy Nexus support two Bluetooth devices connected at the same time?
Thanks
Dan

Media Dock

I'm after a dock with HDMI out & charging capabilities. Does this exist?
not sure if this one can be used for 7.7
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 HDMI Multi-Media Desktop Dock (not for the 7.0" Plus)
anyone tested?
I think it does not work this is for the old p1000 only

Then you should get the one for the 7.7.

IMO this is a bit useless, it's part of the promo bonus here in Indonesia..
It only allows charging in portrait position, and some (if not most) application don't support portrait position..
Also if MHL to HDMI cable allows you to HDMI output directly from the tab, what's the point of docking this?

Samsung Multimedia Dockingstation

Hi Note 3 users,
I'm using this dockin station since my Note 2:
Samsung Original Multimedia Dockingstation (HDMI, Line-Out, Ladekabel, microUSB) EDD-S20EWEGSTD
It works with the note 3 perfect, hdmi output to TV or beamer, sound out and the 3 usb ports for wireless keyboard and mouse.
the -usb Xbox 360 Controller for Windows- works also perfect, I test GTA SA, full supported !!
My question: gta-sa runs slower with the hdmi output than direct on the device. Is this normal ?
My Note 3 has minimalistc kernel 1.10 and Omega Rom v.6
I dont have an answer for you...
But can you tell me from where you bought it?
Put here a link if you have
Thanks

I think it's because 1080p is limited to 30fps over mhl. Just bought the smart dock and I have the same problem.
Hello everybody,
OP sorry for butting in
I've got one quick question - I've just bought this dock primarily to use with screencast apps like Mobizen or ShareKM. My problem is this: although the manual of the dock states that I should be able to sync data between my N9005 and my PC, I'm not able to do so, the phone does not appear in Device Manager, in Computer, there's no sound when connecting the dock&phone to the PC... What am I missing? Is my unit faulty?
Thanks

Old Galaxy S2 as a miracast receiver possible?

Hello community
I'm searching for a solution to use my old galaxy s2 as a miracast receiver. My screen is broken but the touch works fine and the glas itself is not cracked, it's the amoled display itself. So my screen is not working but I can use it with an Mhl adapter. I can display the screen of my s2 via HDMI.
My new phone is a Moto X which does not support Mhl, the only way to stream my Moto x screen is via miracast. I don't have an smart tv or an miracast dongle but i have an i9100 with Mhl support So how I can turn my galaxy s2 into an miracast receiver?
Miracast for Samsung Galaxy S2X (SGH-T989)
Has anyone been able to get Miracast to work for the Samsung Galaxy S2X (the SGH-T989)?
I have this phone, and would love to find a rom that will allow the Miracast to work with it.

You can get a USB c to HDMI/vga adapter and it will work. Ideally one with a USB c pass through so that you can project while charging your device if you are planning to project it for extended period. There are a few video bloggers showing their 'desktop' setup with a USB c hub i.e. video, mouse, keyboard on the Tab S4/S5e and it works exactly the same way.
