Hi all,
I am from Singapore and i want to revert my GA to its stock rom. Just like how i can update using Kies.
Should i use the samfirmwares - Under provider Rom?
Regards
Don
Dude you are right. Use the files from samfrimware.com and use odin to flash it back 2.2.1
Thanks for your reply.
I flashed it back to 2.2.1. As i was previously on VillianRom, I downgraded to Asia Firmware - S5830ZTKB2.
But now when i start KIES, it says this device cannot be updated.
??
Basically I just want to return to my stock rom so that i can update through kies. Anyone can help please?

im from philiphines..
Hope u can work also on DXKC1 froyo because here in my country DXKC1 was the latest update via KIES..
hihihi..hited thanks button already..kip helping^^
Nice Tut..
But i preferred KPN or KPH is Much better than Old Stock rom.. Lates Firmware are much smoother and Stable..
Besides even if you have v2.3.3+ Firmware like KPN from Kies you can still use your warranty because its an official stockROM.. Unless you rooted it or its a CostomROM with some tweaks..
NOYPI Here!

When solving problems, dig at the roots instead of just hacking at the leaves.

Thanks for the Tuts
Thanks OP, i was hoping to get my phone to the service center but the Downgrading part is pretty long from KPH to FroYo (First European froyo and then indian).
My trouble is shortened
will kies recognize it or keep saying update unavailable or cannot update this device
Anyone try this downgrade? So do this mean we can downgrade direct from GB europe to this asian version?
Finally!
I've tried to downgrade with KIES' fw but all of 'em don't work
This works.
Thnx)

After countless flashing of custom roms, ICS, kernels etc. I forgot what the stock firmware that my phone was shipped in and I want to flash it back to stock. Is there any other way to know the stock shipped firmware version without looking in the settings since I am running ICS unofficial ROM now.
Nope. Just flash it to the latest stock firmware available.
thanks for your reply I actually tried many stock firmwares but it didnt work, so I checked the back of my phone and found out it was a french phone. Downloaded the firmware KJ2 and it worked whilst others (KI4, KI3) gave me a bootloop
My galaxy s2 is from Australia Vodafone
i was flash the other rom and i try to flash new rom via Kies and there say
"Your device does not support the upgrade software through kies"
i think i need to flash back to this(yellow word) via odin, but all link cant connect. So anywhere i can get the old firmware and flash then i update via Kise. Or anyway i can do and update via Kise. My Version is

firmware update
hi, first of all ask yourself if you actually want to stay with official rom - i would suggest to install one of the custom ones - im on Illusion-ICS v1.0.1 - XXLPB 4.0.3 - you can find it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488063&page=5 - and then use a jig (i bought it from ebay for £1.50) to fool the tech support at your provider or samsung into thinking that you had never manually installed firmware so your warranty is still fine.
However, if you want to stick with official roms than check out this page - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131950.
hope it helps...

Firstly very you so much for the reply, i tried download in there but the link i cant conntect to, would u have any other link i can go to?? thank you!!!
hmmm, strange, it also doesnt open for me now. Try going to google and make the following search without the @@ - @forum.xda-developers.com/[email protected]
Make a back up ;]]
Thank you!! I will try to download later.
Just wondering how do I flash u gave me that customer rom? is via Odin??
If you want to try flashing the original ones from the link above @@ then you should use Odin. If you want to install Custom Illusion ICS then you will need CWR (clockworkrecovery).
Hello all,
I need an OFFICIAL GB ROM link for the i9100.
Yes, I know we have a search option here and I did use it.. But all of the links are of MULTIUPLOAD which do not work for me.
Can anyone guide me to a working link please.
Thank you.
This link have all original firmwares: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9100&r=1
You can choose whatever you want...
If you are in ICS and want to go back to gingerbread you can choose any 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 or 2.3.5 or 2.3.6 there all gingerbread firmwares.
4.0.3 is ICS firmware.
Hope I helped!
Thank you very much
