has anyone got dsp manager fully working...i have it installed with joker's skinny rom but i when use bass affect.. it completely shuts off the bass need help???

I searched the forums and didn't find what I was looking for. I often listen to music from my phone on my car through an aux jack, but I have to turn the media volume to almost full and turn the car stereo volume to near max to get decent volume, especially on the highway. I've known about voodoo sound for awhile but have yet to try it. I know there are many kernels that gave out built in, but I was wondering if it could be enthralled as a standalone add on. I'm running bionix-v with voodoo enabled if anyone has any suggestion of a kernel that would pair well or if sound can be flashed as a standalone.

But don't you need a voodoo compatible kernal for the voodoo sound to work? Atleast that's what the voodoo sound app notified me of...now my sound seems to be much better

Dragon kernel doesn't play well with my phone. Latest one I tried was 3.0 and it still froze up constantly just like previous versions and required a reboot.

try eugene kernel named " Dead Horse ".. this kernel support voodoo sound.
there is no way to get voodoo sound without a custom kernel. period.
If you don't want a custom kernel, check out an app called "galaxy s tuner". the modifications are software based, not kernel based.
just downloaded "galaxy tuner" and it's great!!!! I think I might like it better than voodoo sound...

It also works in both CM7 and OMFGB.
It seems to work in all AOSP ROMs, but I've never seen it in any Sense ROM. I don't know why. However... if you're running BAMF 2.1 or higher, you can use Equalizer instead. Sometimes I like it better than DSP Manager, sometimes I don't. Depends on what I'm listening to.
If you're running AOSP, like CM7, you can use either DSP Manager OR Equalizer. Kinda nice using them interchangeably to get different results in the same ROM.
DSPManager is awesome on CM7! I can hear my phone from downstairs haha.
What settings do u use on dsp? Like put all up to top or something else?

For phone speaker I have them set to 4.0 all the way across. Plenty loud!

Everybody thinks it is in the marketplace because it is actually an app but it is an app that originally came from cynagon. Most ROMs come with it now.

IMHO my phone was quiet running miui, as compared to cleanrom, everything
Headset, phone, in-call....
I do use dsp myself and it works great, highly recomended, even over roms that come with "beats audio"
In-call was biggest difference, lowest setting can set the phone down on my desk and still hold a conversation without speaker phone... Each phone is an individual tho. Have you compared your loudness to another 3d by chance? Any differences?

DSP manager would be the easiest solution. Keep in mind that there are lib files associated to dsp manager that you would need to have to make it function properly.

It seems to me that a lot of the roms that have ported Beats Audio seem to have the biggest problems with speaker volume but I don't know. My vote is for volume +. It works well for me.

Hey. I flashed this zip last night. Forgot that I had it on my phone. Anyway. Flashed it. And I have this app on my phone that has all the audio brands. It let's me select "koss,klipsch,soul,beats,Phillips,dolby" ect but I don't think it works. I have cm9 flashed. Can someone give me some advice? Thanks

After the new update anyone notice that Beats don't sound as good? It is missing the Beats eq profiles. This also happen on both the oneX OTA as well. Any one planning on modify and upping up our sound?

Hey guys .im using micromax a52..recently i rooted my device..it was fine.. after that i found beats audio installer in play store.. i installed it..it was fine working with poweramp,stock music player too..after somedays something(i dont know how)went wrong.. beats audio stopped working with poweramp..it is giving very soft and low sound in hdph..my music eq. Forcecloses ..evry eq app i dwnld does't work at all.. im very annoyed by ths prblm..plss smeone suggst me what can i do..

Try to see if your "play store beats audio" has had any updates. Go into settings/apps/download/beats audio & uninstall update and wipe app cache. Start from there
