I didn't see a thread about this yet, but a Powerskin seems to be available for the Amaze. I know a lot of us wish the battery life could be better and here is a good way to solve that problem. I would rather have a trident electra case, but If this will do. The only thing I don't like about it is that the slot for the camera seems off.
Here is the link to the site.
http://power-skin.com/battery-cases/ap1513rubt/htc-amaze-powerskin.html
I going to be checking the local T-mobiles to see if they have them in stock, they are on t-mobiles site as well.
nice nice nice
It looks like a tumor.
I put quick sense 1.3.0 on amaze and don't have issues with battery. Its nice but the fact its going to make the phone twice as thick is the downside.
Yeah, I am not too fond of the looks, but I can certainly sacrifice the looks for double the battery power. I would like to have both but i doubt trident will make an electra series case for it....
PowerSkin Review
I was lucky enough to get two of these for free for me & my wife. They were listed for $0.00 on T-Mobile.com and I just had to pay around $6 shipping. T-Mobile has changed the price since then but I think they are still worth looking at as a solution for the short battery life. They keep the phone going through the day and provide some protection as well. However, there are a few things I would like to point out:
1. The USB charging port is for charging only, it does not transmit data. You will have to remove you phone from the case to connect it to a PC.
2. The cut out on the case back lines up right next to the camera flash. It will make your photos and video washed out on one side from overexposure due to the flash reflecting off the case.
3. It is a little bulky, making the phone about twice as thick. The back is curved, it has a soft rubber feel and it fits in your hand nicely.
Overall, the PowerSkin is a good product; but considering the cost, I would expect the USB port to handle data transfer as well as an improved design that does not interfere with the camera flash.

I both confirm and agree with your points. I actually had to remove the case to take decent flash pictures the other day, and it's annoying that the port does not transfer data, although for most things I just use a wifi file sharing program so no biggie...
i picked up the Xpal Powerskin today at a T-Mo store today. Got 30% off by showing them a picture on my phone of a coupon found on TMoNews.com.
I like the case! It does add some weight and bulk to the phone but I'm ok with that since I have large hands. I feel more secure holding phone now.
The case has a soft silicone shell and easily slips over the phone. What is described as a tumour on the side is not that big. Yes it is a nuisance but not as bad as has been described.
The big downside, which has been already mentioned is the cutout for the camera. The edge is close to the flash so when you take a picture it affects the output of the flash. In the picture I've attached you can see the shadow it creates along the right side. Bad if you use the flash, no problem without the flash.
I will try to get more photos of the powerskin actually on the phone in the next day or so.
PEACE

ive had this case all of 30 days, and its already unusable. ive tried contacting the manufacture, but to no reply. it doesnt charge anymore, it actually DRAINS my battery faster if im lucky enough to randomly get some type of charge off it. ive never abused it, never even removed it from the phone ever. it just decided "neh, im done" and boom, gone.
i wish i could say it might just be defective, but ive searched around the net, its not. its not even exclusive to the amaze. the problem is throughout their product line. total waste of money.
PowerSkin for the Amaze on the left and it works extremely well. The one on the right is for my Sensation which I won on G+. I loved it so much I bought myself the version for the Amaze for Christmas... I think it's definitely worth the $58.99
Definitely NOT being sent from my HTC Amaze4G until Christmas Day.....Okay it is
still looks a bit bulky for my pockets. ill wait on something better
Very Bulky. Sent it back.

ooohhh...that looks tempting...
i have that in clear and smoke... both are nice... only problem is sometimes junk in my pocket gets stuck under the case... but you can pop it off real quick and clean it...
nice looking!
Dammit. I wish I had one of those before I dropped my phone so many times
Those look nice but...
Do they afford any protection. I have been thinking about one of those Innopocket Metal case, but those cases look a lot nicer. Anybody have any saves with those cases???

If anyone has tried these, please review.
Thanks.
i bought the one listed above. it's okay, still is a bit bulky.. fitment is descent.. feels a little lose. i might just buy a new oem faceplate instead
you mean the rubberized one? does it fall off? does it provide protection?
the oem faceplate seems like just a replacement for the original housing?
what would be the point? to save the original for resale?

Please give a review I am considering this one too.
WOW...It will be very nice to be a bier for my dead herald.
Black, rubberized version, came same week, 10 bucks shipped, best case I ever seen snaps right on, skin close, thin, looks awsome, as if it was part of the design, NO TMOBILE LOGO!!!, no interfereance with opening the keyboard and a small difference with access to side buttons like camera, etc,. still comfortable, and in my opinion good for preventing accidental pressing...
Just too bad the invisible shield didn't come on time for my relative to bring it here... Then I would feel all around protected with the best there is.
Upgrade to Touch Flow 2.3 (Thanks to Itje!) bricked twice, stuck on Tmobile screen. Reason was expected since Vista is known to brick. The link to Modaco didn't have any possitive effect. Successful upgrade from my XP machine, first try.
The only issue now is that sometimes it is found to be turned off when I don't remember turning it off, usually when I take it out of my pocket.
And when I try to set up Windows Live Mail it just goes to home screen, which sucks since I want Live Mail on it. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I overclocked to 247 and Skype mobile works great. Just took a while to find the 2.2 Low CPU version... http://www.skype.com/download/skype/mobile/21beta.html It says needs 400 mhz, but worked fine without overclock...
Was surprised that Battery Status program was in the WIndows folder and no shortcuts... How are shortcuts made anyway?
In general very happy with the machine!
Any suggestions appreciated...

Avoid the metal cases. Had one for a few months for my Wing, signal strength is knocked down (with associated drop in battery life since the cell radio has to work harder, 25% reduction in battery life for me!), Bluetooth range drops to only about 5 feet before static creeps in, etc.
The protection is good with the metal cases, but you pay a high price in performance for the protection.
Black rubberized case in Tmobile holster?
Those of you who got the Black Rubberized Case, is the case thick enough to protect the protruding Green/Red call buttons from being pressed when they're in the OEM Tmobile holster? Pictures on ebay don't show the sideways view, so I can't tell how thick they are. thanks
OK so I got this at my BBY.
Callpod FuelTank UNO
It works pretty darn good (especially with the HTC adapter that has ports for charging,3.5mm,2.5mm)...I stream from Flycast and Pandora almost 90% of the time in the car so battery drains pretty fast on 3G).
My battery doesnt dip below 93-95%.
SO my question is, will using this HURT the G1 in any way? And if anyone else has tried it....I paid $40 for it....it was this or the USB PowerStick.

I had $50 of best buy money got it one for $40. Completely solves battery problem without ever having to buy a new extended battery w/ larger cover. I doubt it will damage the phone. I've used it so far and nothing has happened. It's probably the same as buying a non standard wall charger, yeah there is a small risk but nothing is likely to ever happen.
I HIGHLY recommend one to solve the battery issue on G1. It is easily the best purchase I've made in years at Best Buy. (I never buy anything at best buy their products suck) It can charge the phone ~3 times for one Call Pod Uno Charge. Call Pod charges rather quickly in 2-3 hours. The call pod Uno is the exact same size as a G1 in height and thickness, I consider that rather small for the boost it gives. It can fit in a pocket if you had to since its the same size as a g1 phone, but you probably wouldn't want to on a regular basis. The Call Pod Uno has a feature that will tell you how much charge it has left by indicator lights that light up, and it will shutdown automatically when nothing is charging in it. It comes with a dongle cable to charge an Iphone or G1, and you get one free cable for any other device from their website with a redeemable coupon.
My only annoyance so far is that the cables they give you are somewhat short so you can't twist the Call Pod around and maneuver it to a better position when charging. Also the cables seem cheap. Finally, don't look at the picture on the box it looks nothing like what the actual product looks like. The picture makes it look black it's silver and the lights aren't as intense as the picture makes it seem. If the color was black and not silver it would be better. Also, the case it comes with sucks.
Think about it though an Iphone charger alone is ~$20 and an g1 charger is too. This includes a g1 charger and the battery and the dongles for only $40. Although it's expensive you get your moneys worth if you think about it that way.
Here:
Pic when you hit button to light it up to see charge two lights indicate half charge.

Yup...thats it!!!!
The pouch is pretty, well, weird, to me. Wish I had it close by to take a pic of it.....
I did notice on mine the cable says TOP on the head of it, but you plug it in with TOP facing the bottom....this makes my G1 sit face up and the Fueltank back up...

Well if you read above. Bestbuy.
Well I will be returning mine, possibly exchange it but not sure, maybe just get my money back...looking up reviews now....
Today i had it plugged in and removed the plug, put the Callpod in my cup holder, than noticed that the connection on the phone was a bit off center, just enough to where the connection wont go in so i can power the phone.
i eventually knocked it (by tapping the unit on my hand) back into place, i can hear a piece of broken plastic moving around inside...it will charge the phone still but if you just touch it it will turn on and off repeatedly..
hopefully its just a faulty unit ( Like i said before, i did notice that the connection was in upside down).
Hope Best Buy has a good return policy because I cant find my receipt.
I would perfer something like this, but as a holster.
I posted a thread a while ago (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554057) about it but I guess it lost its popularity. It's basically the same thing only it's also a holster as well that clips onto your belt or whatever. Pretty neat idea I think.
i like this i saw it on a friends iphone and think it would really cool to have 1 for our phones i vote on it
Has anyone found any good cases? It seems very hard to find a durable case for the phone. So far all I have found that seems slightly good is the PDair Silicone case but I haven't found any reviews on it. There is also the array of ebay cases that may or may not actually be good.
I own the PDair leather book-style opening case, and I am quite pleased with it. It fits perfectly, and is custom made. I highly recommend any of the PDair products, although their prices aren't always the best.

I've actually ordered a PDAir Aluminum case for the Lg Optimus 7. I shall give you my thoughts on it this weekend.
Well, don't know if you're still interested on my thoughts but here goes...
I'm not very experienced on cellphone covers but I will try my best to describe what you need to know.
The PDAir aluminum case is surely a surprise, though at first not a very pleasant one.
What I disliked was how the phone now felt in my hand compared to when it didn't have a case. Of course you will get used to it eventually but the aluminum casing provides a kind of uncomfortable hold due to the way its made. Since my english is not the best I will show you what I mean:

As you can see the part outlined in the picture is what makes the phone feel uncomfortable. It kind of sticks out into your hand and it may bother a lot of people who use their phones for long periods of time.
Moving on we have another problem, at least for me. Due to the nature of the case itself which acts like a little jail cell for your phone you will experience a slight discomfort or inconvenience while talking since the enclosure leaves some very little space when closed between the speaker of the phone and your ear you will notice that the sound emitted from the speaker needs to travel far more and it feels like the sound is being redirected throughout the whole case instead to just your ear.
http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i63/Meats_Of_Evil/PDAirLGE9002.jpg
Another thing that bothered me was since there is definitely a little space left between the screen on the phone and the top of the cover you might have trouble in some games or apps that need the outer most part of the screen to be touched. For instance, while playing Plant vs Zombies I have an extremely hard time trying to touch the shovel which is located in the upper most part of the screen when playing horizontally. Also, the clock icon on the upper part of the screen (vertically) in the Windows Phone 7 Home Screen which displays all the extra info, wifi, 3g, battery etc. Is also hard to touch since the aluminum enclosure blocks a little.
*Note*
Other cases may also suffer from this.
Now as for the cover itself it is very very sturdy, I think its aluminum I don't really now but I like it that it absorbs the cold and helps cool the phone in a sort of way. The material itself is very very hard so I guess they weren't kidding when they said "Anodized aircraft-grade aluminum". I applied some force to it and it didn't even bend, though I'm sure if I apply strong force I could bend it I don't think it was necessary since the phone would never meet those stressful conditions. The two cons about the encasing being a little jail cell for the phone and blocking a little of the upper parts of the screen because it leaves some distance between the screen and the case is a plus in terms of added security. I haven't dropped my phone yet but I am confident that it will resist the shock of a fall without endangering the screen since the screen itself will never come in contact with the floor due to the little space left between the screen and the case. One thing I like is how well secure the phone is inside the case, it fits perfectly but at the same time you have to kind of force it into the case so it sits there. The inside of the case has a material that acts as a cushion for the phone and its what keeps it perfectly locked in position and even with the other half of the cover still opened I tried shaking the cover furiously to see if the phone would fallout but it rested in its same position without moving an inch so that's a huge plus.
Every button on the phone and port is perfectly accessible due to cut out holes on the case, so you'll have no problems plugging the phone to USB or using the buttons.
The thing that could have been better is the locking mechanism of the case which is just a snap in "lock" and it doesn't feel very good, it just snaps in so you can easily open the case without any trouble but I feel it should have been better.
This case is no Otter thats for sure but in terms of protection I believe it will do the job nicely. I have a 2 year contract with this phone so this cover better do the job, I will report it if it fails eventually, but for now I'm pretty confident.
I thought of a rating system:
Handling/Comfortability (is that even a word?) - 2/5
Installation/ Ease of Use - 5/5
Phones functionality after installing - 4/5
Case Quality - 5/5
Case design - 3/5
Final Score: 3/5 (I think)
I bought this ... I know
There's no cases in stores around me (Bay Area) because they didnt sell the phone here so i have to buy one online. Anyone have this case? Is it good? Mic holes? Thanks
http://www.myincipio.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-ATandT-Cases-Accessories/Incipio-Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-ATandT-feather-Ultralight-Hard-Shell-Case.asp
The case keeps the super slim profile of the phone, adding no bulk at all. Keeps scratches off the back but i think if you drop this you'll be in trouble, i like it though. Also the screen protector they send with the phone is the International version with the home button cut out.

finally! ive been waiting for the feather to come out for our device. ive had this for my iphone and its my fav case ever.
according to the pics from the site, doesnt look like any of the mic holes are covered even on the noise cancellation. the cut out looks big enough.
I have the other case they sell and it is an amazing case but the power button is hard to press. It is a very noticeable difference and I'm still deciding if its a deal breaker or not. You have to press it from the right angle every time and it is annoying.
Looks like the top is is actually open. I think I'ma try this one.
Too bad they don't offer white or red -- I'd be all over it in a heartbeat...
EDIT: I'm going to go ahead and try the blue one.
If anyone is interested, there's a 15% coupon floating around: FBFAN2011

Looks tempting - if anyone can compare with the Casemate barely there and/or the Rearth Slim I'd appreciate it - I've got both of those but I'm always willing to upgrade
Looks like ill be getting it then
Ordered mine on Saturday, got the shipping confirmation today. Hope to get it by the end of the week!
FYI- I recently got the casemate barely there and despite what I read the top is cut properly for our i777 top mic, just like the pic posted above.
Hope that may help some who were unsure about it.

Just got it now, im going to update the OP when the pics finish uploading.
Thanks for sharing, seems like a cool case.
Thanks for the pictures.
I'm a little bummed out because I thought the sides went around to the front a little more. Based on Picture 3 in the OP, it looks like the screen will sit flush on a surface if it's placed faced down. That's one thing I really liked about my Case Mate case right now.
My case comes in on Friday, I'm hoping it works out ok.
Sorry, wrong case comment
I too wish it had the lay on the table design
Well I got my case in and tried it out. Sure enough, it doesn't fit quite right on the bottom part of the phone. I'm really disappointed, I think that is a deal breaker for me. I don't want to have to worry about my phone screen getting scratched up due to the poor fit. I also suspect this will make the phone susceptible to falling out of the case as well.
Bummer.

you should probably try to exchange for another one. can you take some pics of how it doesnt fit quite right? im about to order one but if its a bad batch, im gonna wait a bit before i order.
i have the same model for my iphone and love it. i have 4 different color. this model doesnt wrap around to the front and create a lip. its pretty much just a thin plastic skin for the phone.
Here's what my case looks like.
I used the case tonight and it feels like the phone pops out of the case. It seems like the area that going around the bottom of the phone and the bump. When I squeeze the sides, it feel like it gives a little bit and somewhat clicks to look more like the top of the case, but it doesn't stay.
I'm emailing Incipio to see what they can do. I don't really want to get the other case, so I will probably just return it.
So upon searching and searching I found a few bumpers made for the moto 360. This company is a 3d printing service that creates sells and ships based on customer code.
They have 2 different style cases for the g watch. One with a cover and one without. I think if the cover is fully removable and looks good I'd want that. I seem to cross my arms a lot and tend to wake up the watch. But not to the point battery life is affected. A matte screen protector works just fine.
Check this out. Let me know if you have one or order one. The plain black looks reasonably priced. Wish there were real photos.

Not for me but it sure reminds me of the old Swatch guards lol!
Looks like the design was updated a bit.
Looking at the dimensions though, the case is actually quite thin, and doesn't increase the footprint of the watch very much.
The developer just updated the design of both models with and without covers. I am probably going to order black strong and flexible with the removable cover! Here is a photo he sent of the actual finished product (before revisions so current one will be even better)
I kinda want to see what that looks like on the watch. Is the watch screen easy to scratch and break?
I have had my watch for a week or two. It's got a screen protector. It's probably not going to break as it's secured to wrist. But I'm afraid I'll scuff the frame from a door or something.
I would never put such a monstrosity on my watch.
Ok. So the revision should arrive to the designer around January 14th. I will share any information as it arrives. So I would say my full review should be no later than the end of January.
If you are in a hurry and don't want to wait, just go ahead and order one. $17.99 with shipping for the latest version with the removable cover in Blue Strong & Flexible.
If you can wait, I would try to hold off for 1 month just in case it needs any more tweaking.

If you are in a hurry and don't want to wait, just go ahead and order one. $17.99 with shipping for the latest version with the removable cover in Blue Strong & Flexible.
If you can wait, I would try to hold off for 1 month just in case it needs any more tweaking.
Here is a coupon code for 10% off valid until 12/30/14:

I love it! When I work it would help protect my watch. When and where can I buy?
So the developer is awaiting the receipt of his final revision. Pics should be any day now. I'll post asap. I'll be ordering one for sure!
It's the link in my first post, if you don't want to wait. You'll get the latest revision but I'm waiting for him to examine it just to be sure. He's already made adjustments.
Got mine shipped ?
Would love to see some pics and perhaps a review once you receive it.

I would also like to see when it will arrive?
I am so happy (for the sake of the developer) that I'm not the only one excited!
I would order one but the one with the cover has required extra adjustments. If I didn't need the cover I would have pulled the trigger.
The cover is removable. I just want extra display protection and the ability to have my watch vibrate without others being able to see it. This case bypasses the theater mode bug.
It will be like Christmas all over again. As promised to the developer, I will be doing a full review here, on a few other forums, and on YouTube. As for the time frame, I would say a week after the revision is inspected by the developer, so the 21st of January.
Ehhhh....Try Again
Really not what I expected. It is very light, yet feels very cheap. It falls off all the time. I take off my sweatshirt and it gets stuck in the sleeve and comes off. Next time, make one that wraps all the way around.
One thing i do like about it is that you cant even feel that its on there and now its harder for something to hit my screen....even though i already have some scratches.....
In my opinion, I would wait for an updated case... don't buy this one........
I placed my order yesterday for the latest revision, fully functioning, with cover. The main link posted here has been updated by the designer with photos. Just click through the colors.
I ordered the black detail. I am really excited.
@joedow325 maybe you could express your concerns to the designer. While I haven't personally used the product yet, it sounds like something I'd like still. I want it to be easily removable / interchangeable. And I don't really wear long sleeves that much. I dunno. I would think there could be a way to have a back snap on like a phone case. I wouldn't want any added thickness though. Millimeters start to add up ya know.

have to say its the most ugly case i have ever saw.
What is so ugly about it? Especially the one without the flip cover. It isn't like it makes the watch huge. Typical judgy people saying negative things before they even try once themselves. Just wait for my full review...
dude. its a watch!
