In the sms app it doesn't show the time for every message but only for a group of messages.
Is it possible to show the time for every message?
It's annoying that people send me a message and I don't know when i received it.

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone can help me figure out this problem.
I can't seem to find a timestamp on SMS messages for any days other than the current day. So if I received a message at 7.01am today I can see "07:01", however if I want to look at a message I received a few days ago, all I can get is "Oct 3", and bringing up the menu and clicking "View message details" still only shows "Oct 3".
Is there a way to show the entire timestamp? This seems like a terrible oversight if it's not possible to see what time an SMS was sent/receieved for any day other than the current day.
+1. Incredibly annoying "feature".
I am sure it is available in the sms logs, it is just not being shown.
I guess they did it to remove clutter, in the assumption that people wouldn't care about the timestamp of messages from yesterday, but that is just not true. Particularly when it has just gone past midnight!
It is the recency of the message that is important, not whether it arbitrarily happened today or yesterday.
How about ChompSMS and those other SMS apps, do they show them?

Handcent SMS is the way forward. The stock messaging app just doesn't cut it...

Does anyone receive an error message when receiving an MMS from an iPhone user?
"your phone is not compatible with this message type or size. Portions of this message will not be displayed"
and does not show any of the media?

I've only encountered this when using Handcent SMS - if I load the stock test message app on the Atrix is seems to read the messages no problem...
Can't find my Outbox for unsent SMS or a proper inbox and sent?
Is there a way of showing these?

it's like IOS. the two box has mixed~you can only check every message to find the text that you have received and send.
Is there a way to block all of the group messages that are sent from the iPhone iChat???? Like 8 of my friends have a iPhone so whenever they send a message to the group it comes to be from that person individually but with the heading
"[Subject: New Message]"
And I cannot block them or stop the notifications since I am in the group of the chat. Any suggestions besides asking them to not include me since they will just do so to annoy me lol
Sounds to me like its an MMS message - If I send an MMS message with no subject it comes across the same way.
Can they use the subject field would that help?

If they use change the subject field it won't help block the messages. Even if I select to not auto-receive the MMS messages I still get the notification and every message from the group. I wouldn't mind if they got sent to one entry and it was just a running chat message basically. But every time each contact messages the group I get a individual message from them. So if 8 people are in the Chat I get a message from each of the 8 every time they reply. Has no one else come across this yet?????????????
Seriously. So sick of that feature for every non-iPhone user.
There has to be a fix or a way to block these. You may receive 100 messages in one day, for me at least 100, from the group chat. very very very annoying! Any suggestions

Something that I've been noticing recently that I'm not getting certain messages with hangouts. Sometimes the messages are part of a group message and other times its direct. This occurs when both android phones and iPhones text me... Something I've also noticed is that instead of getting the message I'll get something about downloading a MMS message. It then won't let me download the message.
I've attached a picture of what this message looks like...
