Scrub that, i was thinking MMS
*#*#4636#*#* and you will find SMSC in one of the options there.
APNs are for Internet.
Thanks
Working fine.

I tried messaging app with a longer text message and it converts it to MMS. How do I disable this one? Can't seem to find it under messaging settings.

This +1
Can't figure this one out. I think its as soon as the text become over 3 text lengths worth it converts to MMS.
I hope we could find a way in solving this. I'm not really used in abbreviating words that's why my messages would reach more than 3sms.

You can't.. SMS are restricted to 160 characters, because that's the most you can send, in that form of data...

Ya its around somewhere.

So my friend secretly sends credits from my phone to his without my permission. And I would like for him to be unable to access my inbox to prevent deletion of confirmation messages from my provider each time he uses my phone. This will also help me to catch him in the act. Thank you.

you could just keep your phone in your pocket and not leave it lying around?

Any apps that specifically does that? I'm currently trying sms control. Any suggestions would be great.

Try app lock application. I use it. It may help you too!

Try hide it pro in the play store.. It's the best hiding app for Android by far..
Whenever you're with your friend, you can lock your inbox and what it basically does is that whenever someone tries to open your inbox, it shows a force close message and asks to send an error report.. A normal person would consider this but for you you'll have to enter your password and your inbox will open..
It's a pretty cool app! Do try it..

Hi,
I've a Droid Razr Maxx running CM 11 build 2013-12-22 nightly
I had asked this earlier but no body answered.
After installing the ROM, I'm unable to send SMS. So I searched the forum and found a few answer.
Some guy told that If I could restore the apn from the stock rom, I will be able to do it.
But I wasn't able to do so, even after replicating the steps and by successfully restoring the apns.
Please help

Download Sliding Messaging Pro. It allows you to set APNs in app for what ever service you have.
Iam running CM11 as well and it works for me.

I've tried both Sliding Message Pro and 8sms app, both are not working. I don't know if the issue is with the APN or with the ROM.
If I switch to my Stock ROM, I can send SMS, but not with the CM11 build:crying:
Also, why can't I access Access Point Names is Settings? Why is blacked out?
Never had a problem when friends attached photos to text messages, but something is preventing it now. I'm still using the same Handcent app on AT&T. Hmmm...what setting could I be missing?

Did you download or manually enter the APN?

first I downloaded, then I tried manually setting. Just got off the phone after an hour with tech support. Still not working. It worked prior to an unsuccessful attempt to set up an ISIS account with a new SIM card.
Strange. MMS autodownload checked on?
