Searching for network? - TouchPad General

CM7 thinks it's a phone, it has the network indicator in the status bar. Anyway to get rid of that?

Uh, you sure you are running the right one? Mine just has volume, wireless, battery and clock.

Just put it into airplane mode and then reconnect to your wifi.

Polling rate?

Is there a way to modify the wifi and mobile network polling rates? My phone dies like a dog at work due to no reception.
Thanks

Wi-Fi scan is a tweak in build.prop. There is a app called .prop tweaker or editor I believe.
Idk about network though

Whenever I'm in a poor signal area I just turn off mobile data and wifi. That way you don't have to worry about your radio constantly searching for better signals when your not even using it.

I just turn my phone off completely. Great battery life, and I never have to worry about it searching for signal. Bonus: with all the new kernels popping up, when my phone is turned off it sleeps like a sloth.
Try it out!
Appreciate the replies but i use offline apps all day so i can't power down.
Anyone else know?

4g toggle help

So ever since I rejected the ota I have noticed that toggling my mobile data works but the 4g logo stays on the status bar....any help with this issue? The ota point may be irrelevant but I was thinking it may have something to do with it since when it was toggled off 4g would start automatically...

Also even after restart and being toggled off, the 4g logo does stay, I have turned off fastboot powered down completely.
Thanks in advance for any tips.

Notifications not coming in on wifi

So I'm new to the Note 2 and when I'm at work I am connected to their wifi because my cell sign lapis horrible when I'm there. But when I get off, I seem to get all my push notifications all at once like they were waiting for me to get off wifi. Anyone know the reasoning behind this?

Maybe your phone is just using the WiFi connection without actually trying to use VZWs service because its so crappy.
If you're unlocked and have flashed a ROM then it could definitely be a ROM issue.

I'm currently running stock but plan on rooting tonight. My signal is really bad in the office so that may be the issue.

No idea but. Does it do it on aosp roms also? Thought it might be the sprint connection DE-optimizer.
I hardly ever see LTE on aosp. I seen it a good bit on sense though.

Sense or aosp. Doesn't matter it connects for 1 min the boots me off

yikes
Htc's crappy evo lte radios combined with sprints turdish network. Throw in sprints connection de-optimizer. What a trio!
I don't know if this will help but I am running a cm 10.1 rom and if I set my data to LTE only i transfer data fine. However I can not receive phone calls.
