XDA app requesting super user access - HTC EVO 3D

The XDA app just requested super user access, has this happened to anyone else. Here is a screen shot to prove I am not talking out my ass. At the bottom under deny.

that's weird. I would've allowed it, maybe it would've made xda amazing lol.

It never asked for super user access before. Hhhhhmmmm. I was trying to preview a splash screen when it asked for permission.

I've had Friendcaster ask before. I talked to support and they had no idea why it did.

Was that app included in a ROM or something? I don't think it should be asking for SU access. You may want to delete that copy and reinstall from the market.

No I got it from the market. I deleted it and reinstalled it and I am still getting requests for su access.
The only thing I could think of is I did update the SU binary shortly before this started happening. Could that have caused a problem like this.

Download LBE Security manager from market. It will let you manage permissions individually for all apps. after u downloaded app, I found that many apps are also asking for phones ESN or IMEI number for no reason which I just blocked it. May be off topic for your post....

I just noticed they I had Voice Search and The Weather Channel ask for super user permissions.
Don't know what the hell that's all about?
