This will replace the stock battery icon with one that goes down in Increments of 1% instead of the 10%.
This has just a Plain stock look to it.
Made using Yay's 198_7 SBF
zip works with Bootstrap Recovery and CWM
To use on a stock phone
Flash in CWM or Bootstrap
Use Root explorer and rename the framework-res.odex file to framework-res.odex.bak (it's in the System/framework/ folder) then reboot.
Make sure to wipe Dalvik Cache
Will be along first boot
Nice! Any chance of adding one that will fit with motempo's Quantum theme?
Looking at the screenshots in his post he has it already.
He is using Jokers rom's as a base and those have 1% built into it already

Is the output applicable for any ROM ? Damn, only HTC Legend build 26 or 29 ROM.
For any other ROM we need to provide the site with the framework-res.apk file from our ROM (I am using Azure).

Excellent, thanks for the tip!
I was under the impression it was a case of extracting it with some ugly command line work (which is fine, though as I've just moved to OSX, terminal syntax is all new to me, as is Android dev in general)
Thanks again.
Is there a reason whenever I flash this MOD onto my EVO it always has a roaming indicator on? I flashed the latest CM6 nightly and it didn't say that. I flashed the ROM, it did. I nandroid'd back, it went away. I flashed the .zip with the boot animation and it came back.
Anyone else having this issue or an idea how to get rid of it?

Here ya go, edited the 1.8.3 deodex services.jar... shout out to Tonecreationz for coming up with this MOD, I just made a CWM install for it...
a) You need to be deodex to use this....
b) I also included the services.jar with the 1% MOD(this does not show the percentage in the battery icon) from Gingerblur v3.5 for people using 1% MOD, your framework-res.apk will need to have the correct battery icons for this to point to if you want to see the % in the battery icon... ... I don't use that, so didn't personally install it...
STEP 1: MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT SETUP BEFORE INSTALLING THIS!!
STEP 2: INSTALL VIA CWM

Well, I don't know??? Wiped battery status and dalvik cache with CWM and battery status still shows 100%... Going to restore to the backup I made before flashing this, and confirm that this was indeed the problem.
services.jar is involved in the 1% battery mod, dropping a stock 1.83 services.jar with the clock removed on your phone will affect any mods that utilize services.jar tweaks.
I hate to say it but the best way to implement any mod is to do it yourself - that way you make changes to your current system rather than replacing parts of it.

Quick question... Is this the services.jar from Gingerblur? As of right now, gingerblur does not have the percentage numbers shown on the status bar... So, will your services.jar also add the numbers, or did you just use the services.jar file that came with gingerblur (which is what I did)? Guess, I could just flash and see...

- Updated Music application
- Updated Maps application
- Added 1080p recording to camera application (thanks zove)
- 1% battery mod now added (battery gauge more accurately reflects battery)

I used the stock gingerblur services.jar too. We are on the same page. The 1% battery mod works just fine under settings and with widgets, etc. But it doesn't show the individual numbers yet in the status bar within the battery icon. I believe I remember Kenn saying that he hadn't implemented this yet.

Ah... I just extracted Kenn's battery-mod and it's just the framework-res.apk with all the battery icons with 1% increase, no services.jar in there... so, most likely the services.jar in v3.5 should have the right files, it was just needing the updated framework-res.apk with the icons that included the 1% increase for it to point to... so, it should work, but I don't have gingerblur installed to test it..
Let me know if it works....
So I updated all of the mods I use in my ROM for the new 2.17.651.5 base. I thought it might be helpful to others if I put them all in one place. Most of these mods were made using threads by SteelH and others who actually tell you how these things are done. If anyone wants to know how a certain mod is made (of those listed below), PM me or post and I'll explain how I did it.
Flash these at your own risk (good idea to make a backup of /system and /data before flashing).
The mods in this post are for deodex ROMs.
You can find mods for odex ROMs here. Thanks Rydah805!
7in1_Reboot_2.17.651.5.zip adds Power menu and reboot options (not sure if hot restart works correctly).
Download DEODEX
HDR_Panorama_2.17.651.5.zip adds HDR and Panorama modes to HTCCamera.
Download DEODEX
MMSSize_SMSBackup_SMSSecureBox_2.17.651.5.zip adds the mirror entry back to the app drawer, adds 1M, 2M, 5M MMS, adds SMS backup option, and SMS Secure Box option. The MMS size should be flashable to make it work thanks to Vin255764. The mirror app will still require you to place default.xml from the flashable .zip into /system/customize/MNS/ of your ROM before you flash your ROM. I'll try to find how to add the mirror app to a current ROM. If you really want all of these features and know how to backup/restore your stuff, just clear /data after flashing the .zip and it should work ok from my limited understanding (I just make my own ROMs ).
Download DEODEX
RemoveUSBDebugging_2.17.651.5.zip removes the USB debugging icon.
Download DEODEX
RoamOnlyOption_2.17.651.5.zip adds Roam Only under Settings-Wireless&Networks-Mobile Network Settings-Roaming.
Download DEODEX
SprintHotSpotHack_2.17.651.5.zip changes two 0's to 1's so you can use this without paying for it.
Download DEODEX
SystemUI_mods_2.17.651.5.zip removes GPS recticle, removes recent apps from pulldown, changes to display 3G/1x properly, and adds extended quick settings.
Download DEODEX
SystemUI_mods_WithRecentApps_2.17.651.5.zip is the same as above without recent apps removed.
Download DEODEX
Please post if something doesn't work and ALSO if things do work .

It's supposed to, but I may have messed something up. Where is the option at? I can't seem to find it at the moment .
edit - I found the setting. Mine shows 1M, 2M, and 5M. I'll look at the .zip and try to get it fixed.
edit #2 - I had an error in the updater scripts to set the permissions. They should all be fixed and you can flash again or just fix permissions on \system\customize\default.xml and \system\app\Mms.apk with a root file explorer.

That's the xml then. I'm pretty sure it's probably a permissions issue. As you have it now, the 300k will correspond to 1m, 600k to 2m, and 1m to 5m. I'll try to test it more tomorrow (has it worked for anyone else?).

Just wondering if this was possible on the OTA, if some kind of mod was available, not on a ROM or anything, just stock ICS.
Not looking for BABattery, or another app/widget, just an actual mod to the stock battery in the status bar.

Uh, OP specifically said not a ROM, he wants stock with only 1% mod.
To OP, there is a 1% battery mod out there for the "stock" .211 the problem is you have to be running the "stock" deodexed ROM to use it, so really either way your running a somewhat custom ROM.
Thanks for the help guys.
Is there a way to deodex the stock OTA in order to apply the mod maybe?

There is a Deodexed .211 over at Droidrzr.com you can use, but I really suggest you to wait till your sure you want to keep it before doing anything to it, simply due to the lack of having .211 fastboot files.

Hey guys, just installed the Verizon JB (98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US). I am noticing the battery only drops in 10% increments from 100 to 90 to 80 and so on and so forth. Does anyone know if this is just how this release reads the battery level or is it something else? I'm pretty much totally stock minus just having root on the ROM. Also, not that I know if it has anything to do with it but for the root method it said creating a battery saver smart method before root which I did but after the root was finished I deleted the smart action. Thanks for the input!
It is normal because our kernel doesn't support 1% battery drop . As ya saying ya rooted so ya can mod that to change it into 1% . Check into the development thread there are many mods for verizon RAZR
Please hit the thanks  if i ever helped ya !!

Its normal for stock ROM to read battery on 10% threshold.
You can change it.
Here's one mod JB1% baterry mod
But this is only for deodexed ROMs so you need to deodex your ROM first.
Here's another. Works on odex ROM as well. But it is a flashable zip. So you'll need safestrap recovery for flashing it.[MOD]Stock Odex/Deodex 1% Battery and Pull Down Toggles
