32gb is just fine for all devices and they are cheap. i dun' feel i need more
if u wanna keep on your device 10gb+ movies, just use OTG cable

Just point me to a working otg cable and I will be happy to test it.
otg cable from this seller for Nokia worked on my sgs2, so i think we can try it on motorola too
this one also: http://cgi.ebay.com/Right-Angled-Mi...464192?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20b7caa3c0

they all worked on sgs2 and since there is no info about specific model they should work on most of all devices. well the price is little so you can just order 1 and check...
Will buy a cable and test when Inget home from holiday.
Don't buy cables, you'll only blow up your money.

I have a class 6 SanDisk 64GB and when using the phone there is no difference in speed compared to my previously used 32GB class 10 card. The only difference I see is when transferring data from a PC onto the card - it is a bit slower.
Found a 64GB microSD (class 6) for $110 with shipping
http://www.buy.com/pr/product.aspx?sku=226590490&sellerid=10001650
But I just bought a 32GB class 10, and my current card is 16GB class 4 soo I'll be fine for a while. Still really awesome to know that our phones can do 64GB cards

Can anyone with an X10 tell me if they have used a 32gb SD card on the X10?
Phone shops I have been to have no idea and aren't able to test this for me by opening up a box and putting a 32gb card in the phone.
Perhaps since the 32gb microSD card was released only 23 March 2010 the information on most websites is from 2009?
I find it hard to believe the hardware in this phone can only support 16gb.
Can anyone with the phone and microSD card let us know the real capacity please?
good point, i´d really like a 32gb card in my x10 when it comes!!!
I haven't used it, but the articles I read about the early 32GB cards to market said they use standard SDHC, and thus should be compatible with all SDHC-compliant hardware. Anything beyond 32GB will be using a newer standard that will require specific compliance (as SDHC did before).
kakahara, we have all got together and voted that you should buy one and test it out. We want you to know up front we appriciate you taking one for the team!
Will get mine soon(today or top a day or so from now) then i will try it out.

That's likely because when the page was put up, 32GB MicroSD cards didn't exist. Sandisk released the first one only two weeks ago. According to The Inquirer's article, it *should* work in most devices that support 16GB cards.

yeah, I looked at it, too. SanDisk class 6 micro SDXC. Let me know if you try it how it works for you. I'm using a 16Gb class 10, and it works great. I've seen sketchy things about 32 Gb micros having occasional failed reads, so I'm hesitant to go up, but I would like to be able to move all my music onto a single card, so let me know. Thanks.
Mine gets here tomorrow, I'll post back if its good or not
I've really considered upgrading if it does work well enough. I want to get my entire music collection on my phone without having to worry about storage. And this sounds perfect.

Personally 16GB is perfect for me. All my V0 MP3s can fit on that. I don't collect album and only my favorite songs.
personally I listen to flac files and they are frankly huge compared 10 mp3. I have 2 32 gig cards, maybe I should consider an upgrade.
CAUTION
While I do not really intend to go searching for the thread, an early adopter of the 64GB card initially thought it worked, and then it bottoms up pretty quick. Find the thread; but if he is correct DO NOT BUY THIS CARD FOR THE REZOUND.

Not exactly sure if this is the same one that Bestbuy has but I bought the SanDisk 64GB Mobile Ultra MicroSDXC Class 6 Memory Card for my Rezound and haven't had any issues (about a month old now). I formatted it on the computer then the phone. It is very expensive but definitely worth it in the end. Before the 64 I used my 32 GB microSD that came with the Thunderbolt without issue. Up to now I haven't had any adverse effects.

hi, I'm looking to buy a 64GB MicroSDXC card
do they compatible with photon ?
can anybody who have them give some inputs ?
thank you.
No, the Photon only supports microSDHC, and like you said, the 64gb (also, anything over 32gb) is classified as microSDXC.
32gb + 16gb internal should be more than enough anyways, provided you use it wisely.
If you absolutely NEED that amount of space, some users were able to use the Photon as a USB host and attach an external USB flash stick using a special USB-F-MicroUSB-M

I've seen a couple reports that they work fine on the Photon, but more that they don't. And the Droid4 and Bionic are reported to work.

The current 64GB cards are generally backwards compatible with SDHC in a lot of devices.
http://pocketnow.com/android/how-well-are-android-phones-handling-64gb-sdxc-memory-cards
I have a Sandisk 64 card - haven't tried it in my Photon, but it works fine in my Xoom and Cowon J3 MP3 player (linux).
So, I don't know for sure. (My Photon battery cover plastic clips won't take too many more removals or I'd try it)

the 64GB is the exact one I got her.
Cool - good to know, thanks for the post.
I figured it would work fine in the Photon since it seems to work in about everything else with a SDHC 3.0 compatible slot.
And I got my spare battery cover via eBay today, so may try it soon.

Let me better explain my "No big difference, so I went back" comment. I had a 16Gb SanDisk Class 4, I was happy. I got 32Gb SanDisk Class 6 for $100.00 and I was happy. I got Komputer 32Gb Class 10 for @ the same. When I compared them read/write, depending on what I was reading or writing, the SanDisk was either faster OR not that far behind, so I went back to SanDisk for the realiabilaty. I now have 64Gb SanDisk Class 6 and I'm happy (Kinda of, there is nothing on it? I either use Google or ZumoCast to acces my desktop at home?)
My suggestion, look for stability, look at the reviews where people smarter than I have done extensive testing. Not all chips are alike. Also, look at your needs. If you take a ton of pictures or video, I assume you would need high write speed. If your a gamer, I assume you would need high read speeds? Just me!
Thanks for the further explanation! I'll probably just pick up the class 6. It's getting rave reviews on Amazon.
Can someone recommend me for a good SD card. I am looking for 32 GB or 64GB.
I found a great deal on a Samsung 32GB class 10 for $28. It was through slickdeals, just keep your eyes peeled for a good deal and jump on it. I've heard of lots of people getting the SanDisk 64gb sdxc card for $50-60. If you can wait, be patient and a great deal will happen.

Not a reccomendation per se, but be wary of any great deal on a SD card that is an off brand. Better off spending a little more and getting a quality one.

I would recommend this http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...anDisk+Ultra+microSDXC+class+10&condition=new the SanDisk Ultra 64 SDXC class 10, and flonker is right its a lot better to buy quality and to reap the benefits of reliability and performance then save a few bucks here and their and have an SD card that becomes a nightmare when it fails on you.
my two cents...
Here's the card I bought and have been using for a little over a week now. Formatted it first thing after putting it in my phone and its been very fast and reliable the (admittedly short) time I've had it.
OK XDA won't let me post outside links but this ("G.SKILL 32GB Micro SDHC Flash Card w/ SD Adapter Model FF-TSDG32GA-C10") is $27.99 over at Newegg.
32GB Class 10
I have to say the best Sd card you can get is a Sandisk. I just got mine from Amazon. I paid $70 for a 64gb class 10. make sure to look for the U with the number 1 inside the U. that indicates class 10. Those cards are the best for these android phones. also look for the deal I got cuz it changes daily.. when I bought it it was priced out at $69.89, the other day same seller change price to $89.69. not sure what it is today.

Screw Patriot memory. At work we bought about 100 for development, and although we were hard on them, almost every one failed within a couple of months. Switched to SanDisk and everything was fine. Personally (not work), almost every Patriot brand product I've ever owned (RAM and SD) has croaked. Their warranty is solid, when something is under it they have *zero* problems replacing a product and doing it quickly, but simply not worth thee downtime.

Don't buy this card yet! (64GB)
I'm having damaged sd card problem (like a batch of Ultra with Note 2 and S3) with this card,
and I've already got an replacement from SanDisk and showing the same issue.
I'm contacting them and SanDisk seems to be working on this problem.

Got SanDisk Ultra microSDXC and works very well for me. No issues so far.
I'm using the Sandisk 64gb ultra, which I've used for about a year in my Note 2. I have the Sandisk extreme 64gb on order since I'd like to take advantage of the usb 3.0. I transfer movies a lot to my phone, so the extreme should be twice as fast.
Same here, im debatin if I should wait for the 128gb micro sdxc or just buy a 128gb sdcard and buy one of those microsd to sdcard adapters.
Sent from my note 2 ya bish!
Problem is here i'm not sure if the Note 3 can even take advantage of the Extreme cards. I swear I read somewhere that they're only a few more MB/s faster than Ultras in the S4. HUGE speed difference using a USB card reader though.

How do you get files onto the sd card? Can you directly transfer to it when it's plugged into you note?

anyone notice overheating issues when using a Sandisk Ultra micro SD 64GB card? Mine overheats when the card is mounted but returns to normal temps when I unmount the card and remove it completely from the phone. I am not sure why this happens.
