Lmfao at the 95 views. But i honestly have no answer to that. I've been wondering the same thing. Why ADW and not TW. I guess ADW is what gives it that CM7 feel. Otherwise it'd just be a reflashed stock looking CM.

I am a user of the new beta1 of CyanogenMod7 by Quarx. I dont like ADW so i tried that.
It does not work it boots but it stays at cyanogenMod Logo.
Is there another way to get the Stock Launcher?

I have already tried that, is nearly the same as that what i posted in the first post. Does not work. Its becouse wo dont have official cyanogen.
there's a gingerbread launcher on the market, but i don't know if it is the same of the stock version.
I now 3 gingerbread Launcher in the Market the one by Eugene373 does not work on CM7, i dont like the one by MoDaco becouse no 3D app drawer and the third one cost money so havnt tested it yet....
If you want stock launcher install it from market, but before install beta2 cm7 rom becorse it support now opengl es2 and launcher is now working

I always use the HE Launcher regardless of the rom. I upgraded to the cyan rom and first thing I did was install this launcher then deleted the ADW system app.

ADW works now good for me
after installing cm7 app drawer was a bit laggy but now works perfectly
I've installed Launcher Pro Plus and it works like a charm, ADW was laggy and I couldn't do anything about it ( that was also the case when I was on Froyo).
Ok i think Stock launcher is not needet anymore, i tried it and did not like it becose of the low resolution in the app drawer. Go Launcher is best i think.

So currently I'm using Nameless v4 on my Fascinate, before that was the GB Leak, so far I haven't had any SD card issues, but I've been diligent keeping it backed up. I'm loving the Go Launcher on Nameless, so I'm wondering if it's possible to use other Launchers on custom ROMs? Mainly, I'd love to use it on CM7, instead of the default Launcher. Is that possible, or would a Mod have to be made?

You just have to be rooted. You can use any launcher on any rom... except touchwiz on aosp roms... I prefer adw but to each their own! There are a bunch of them in the market

I do like TouchWiz, but I can understand it's a bit of a resource hog. I guess that's why I'm liking Go Launcher, it has the general 'feel' of TW.

I use Go Launcher EX too and I know if you like the look of touchwiz but not actual touchwiz there's a great free touchwiz theme for Go Launcher on the market

LauncherPro is in my opinion the smoothes of all launchers i've tried.
Right now i'm using GoLauncher, as i wanted to change things a little bit .

If you mean the ics look no... but if you mean the customization then try go launcher theirs ics icons and its extremely customizable..

I did remember there was a ICS like launcher for GB called "ICS launcher" or something.
But to be honest that one s*cked.
If you are looking for a launcher replacement, go launcher worked pretty well for me when I was on GB.
I always just used a Ice Cream Sandwich theme that works with ADW and Go also I think some other lunchers too.

When I was using GB I was using GO launcher it works really well and allows you to do a lot of customizing.
Adw = apex
They have same menus and configs other than the ics features. My apex setup is exactly the same as adw when I was on gb.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I would highly recommend holo launcher. It's the only ics launcher that truly simulates the ics experience perfectly (or as perfectly as you can on gingerbread). The biggie for me was the stackable shortcuts feature. This is the only one I tried that truly got it right. Spot on. And it's super smooth too.

Could not agree more! Best that I have found. ADW is also really good... just really hard to customize. Especially with custom Icons. Here's a screen shot of Holo Launcher.
I think you should go for ADW Launcher buddy...
I use holo launcher before but ADW is so good... :good: just like some user said above its like Apex launcher
