Anybody know a way to stop the default browser from redirecting to market whether I type it in or tap a link?
Tap http://www.speedtest.net to see what I mean. Running stock RAZR.
Thanks

Use a browser that will allow you to change your user-agent and change your user agent to desktop.
(Not sure if the stock one does that)
I grabbed Opera Mobile and set it for desktop and it worked as expected. But would rather see the mobile sites sometimes. I guess google knows better than me what I want.

It's not Google, it's speedtest that's shutting you out of their site. Reminds me of forums that give you the annoying Tapatalk nag every time you bring up a page.
Some browsers have the "Request desktop site" option. This will take you to the actual page (most ICS browsers have it).
Title says it all.thanks.

Have you tried Jetvd, that's what I use. Hasn't been available in the market for a while but google-able.

Tubemate, using on CM9 without a problem.
MoPhoACTV Initiative
Maybe try using a user script (usersscripts.org) which allows you to download the video, possibly also the audio track? These are snippets of Javascript which inject themselves into specific sites when you're viewing them. I use one named "YouTube to MP4" on Firefox on my desktop PC. Since the Android browsers are fully functional I expect the same option applies there.
For this option, Firefox requires Greasemonkey addon, but I believe it's a native option on Opera and Chrome.
Also try tubeGod(tubex) its no longer in the market so you have to search for it(its free so no problems)
Much better quality than tubemate imo and mp3s dont come as large as tubemate either
I extracted the audio from a video a few days ago
Tubemate(17mb)
TubeGod(1mb)

Thanks guys tube god crashes but tube mate will do for now until I repair my laptop.

Tubemate's file size is big because it downloads the whole MP4 video and renames it as MP3.

I'm running ICS 4.2 on my phone and I can't view flash videos on sites such as NBC.com. What do I need to fix this, I already have the flash player downloaded and installed from the market.
Thanks-Dan
What browser are you using?
Just stock, whatever comes along with CleanRom 4.2.
Check if flash is enabled in your browser settings

Yup, it sure is.
Try ics browser+ free in the market.
Edit: also cleanrom doesn't have flash installed. Are you sure you installed it.

Still not working. I doublechecked the flash player and it says installed, what else could be causing my issues? Can anyone else play the videos on NBC.com? I'm just using that site as an example to test with.
try uninstalling and then reinstalling flash.

I tried it a couple days ago on NBC.com and the video's displayed a message saying it was not formatted for my device or something like that (was very hard to read as it was black text on a very dark background, but it was near the top of where the video image would be. Flash works fine on other sites.

Same thing here. I will try it on other sites.
I know ABC doesn't support videos on mobile devices without downloading there app. Maybe NBC is the same?

So you are talking about full TV episodes through the browser?
I was able to watch 30 rock in ics browser+. You need to go to settings, advanced, and change your user agent to desktop.

No, I was just testing it out on NBC's homepage, they always have that featured video clip. I was just using that for test purposes but it always had that dark message about not being able to view on my device.

I am on 4.2 Pro and I found Nbc's site causes an error message to appear "connection error, network data error". Despite that I can play video there. I don't get this error on other sites, and I can play video on other sites too.

You could try the hulu hack, and just go to NBC on the hulu app.

On trying to stream Hulu video content from my HTC One to the media link, I'm greeted with an error claiming my video is unable to play. However, Youtube runs fine and when I disconnect the Media Link, Hulu streams without a hitch on the phone itself.
Is anyone else encountering this problem? Can you run Hulu without any issues? Any help would be appreciated!

Anyone?

Can anyone at least confirm that it's working on their device. It'll allow me to figure it's a personal problem or a widespread issue.
Thanks!

"Some content providers restrict the use of their content. You should always respect their terms of use of any content you intend to display on a TV using the HTC Media Link HD. If you try to play content that you don't permission to use, it may not display properly or at all"
Page 3 of the HTC Media Link HD user guide
This is my best guess :\
Thank you for the response.
