That's not Clockworkmod recovery.
It's not?
Well it shows that it is!

Definitely not, it's taking you to OEM recovery. Good luck flashing from there.
Just flash a kernel with CWM Recovery if ROM Manager doesn't want to play nice. Do all you flashing by booting to recovery and flashing from there.
What could be wrong?
I click the boot into recovery from the rom manager.?

It hasn't actually installed CWM Recovery so it's booting you to the only recovery you have: stock.
You can also boot to recovery by vol up + home + power.
I could never get Rom manager working on mine so flashed a cf-root kernel with cwm included all working fine now

I find ROM manager only plays nice on CM..
Next time you find yourself there do the three finger salute and it should continue to cwm and even proceed with the ROM manager task.
Cwm is present but for some reason it hasn't written over the stock recovery. Its one of the most annoying bugs since I don't have a PC to fix anything with when **** gets squirrelly. I will be replacing this phone with the nexus for that reason primarily.

this app should work for any device that can flash a recovery using dd if="whatever" of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p22, it can backup, flash, and reboot to recovery. requires root and busybox to work
Added boot backup and flash as well as power options

This works great, I think it needs some confirmations so that people know when the recovery flash is complete... I was a bit scared at first

Just rocking the standard 4.0.4 rom from dan, seems to be best on battery life. I use my tab mainly for watching movies, netflix, xfinity streaming etc. But It's nice just knowing you're completely liberated from the chains of at&t
I've not been able to get the xfinity streaming app to work on anything other than Dan's JB AOKP build (and it doesn't run great there), did you do anything special to get it to work?

Hi dan-htc-touch
can restore white NVFLASH ?
OK, so I'm having an issue trying to flash a new ROM. I'm currently using the LiquidSmooth JB ROM and I want to switch to the Paranoid JB ROM.I downloaded the necassary zip file and I put it on my internal SD card. Went into CWM and wiped data factory reset, wiped cache, and wiped dalvic cache, then went to install from internal SD card, selected the zip. It says installation terminated and gives error 7. I've tried this numerous times with 2 different ROMS and I'm getting the same thing each time. I completely wiped my internal memory and put the files back on and tried again and I'm getting nothing. I'm thinking I need to redo Odin and reflash CWM but before I do that I want to make sure its not something I'm just spacing out on. I'm fairly new to all this but I was successful with my first ROM using the same method. Any suggestions?
Oh I'm using the latest CWM touch.
Error 7 means your recovery IS in fact out dated. You have to update to latest version. A simple search would have provided the answer
TWRP recovery is highly recommended

I had searched to see if I had the latest CWM but I didn't specifically search error 7. Either way its kind of what I was thinking anyways. Can I just overwrite CWM with TWRP by flashing it with Odin or do I need to somehow delete CWM first.
Sent from my SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
You flash the TWRP zip and as it flashes, it overwrites the CWR. It reboots to TWRP.
TWRP is a friggen awesome upgrade to recoveries. I have to get over to their thread and give them a donation. Its a beautiful piece of code.
Oh here's a pic of my error just in case

Hi, I am currently running the latest MeanBean and I decided to try AOSP out one day. I am S-ON so I installed the Rom zip and then used fastboot to install the boot.img in my rom zip. I booted up the phone, but I get stuck at the CM boot animation screen (it just keeps on spinning). Anyone know how I can fix this? I can't go S-OFF at the moment since that would require reprovisioning and I'm travelling internationally right now. Thanks!

You have to flash the kernel separately.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
He did flash the kernel separately using fast boot.
Try restoring your backup that you surely made, then using flashimageGUI from market to flash boot image while running sense ROM, then immediately flash CM

Seriously, S-off makes life with this phone so much easier. I understand you're traveling at the moment, but you need to look into it once you get back home

Thanks guys, I'll try the market app to flash the kernel and see how that goes. I'm going S-Off as soon as I get back to the states, don't worry

So, I was recently asked if there was a way to go back to the stock kernel without reflashing the rom. While i wanted to say, "Just reflash the rom", that could be kind of an inconvenience for someone who has added mods of their own or flashed a theme they liked. So after doing a quick research {Credits to Google), I quickly put together the MJ9 Stock Kernel for the Verizon Note 2. This is mainly for those who flashed the AGNI or Devil Kernel and wanted to restore back to stock kernel.
MJ9 Stock Kernel - http://www.mediafire.com/download/b0w2hq1ukbdf33f/MJ9+Stock+Kernel.zip
Mirror (AFH) - http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23311191640113944
So now you are free to explore with other Verizon Note 2 Compatible Kernels and tweak to your liking. And if you do not like the results, you can go back to stock kernel without reflashing the rom. Just remember...first and foremost, MAKE A BACKUP before anything.
Have fun!
Fricking awesome
You are indeed the man Trenton!!!
Thanks brother you are awesome!

Like you read my mind! I hadn't flashed a kernel in awhile and was quickly reminded why I usually just run what you guys pack in the zip file. Freaking headaches! Thank you!

I flashed this with stock settings through ODIN 3.07 and have no baseband after. Any idea why or how I can get it to work?

Flash through recovery, not Odin. I flashed this with twrp no issues.
