VMWare Android Virtual Machine - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was wondering if the Android Virtual Machine from VMWare would solve some of the problems of porting other Webtops to the Atrix (e.g. Bionic).

Also, I know there's a Citrix client on phone but there's also a VMWare View Android App that lets you use a VMWare virtual desktop:

Linux booting

Hi all,
I am interested in running linux on my Himalaya. At the moment I have a media server running using Mythtv (knoppmyth) and debian on my xbox (myth frontend), and I would love to play with the posiblity of using my PDA as a remote for the system, plus a portable media center.
However I am still relativly new to linux, so could some one point me towards a how-to, for serial/usb terminal connecting, as mentiond on the HimalayaLinuxBooting section of the wiki. I will be doing this on my main machine that is running Suse 10
Thanks everyone
Worked it out my self, thanks anyway

[Q] Remote desktop

Hello, maybe you can help because nobody else could. How to use remote desktop, I mean how can I connect hd2 to my laptop with win7. And other question, is there any posibility to use my hd2 to operate for example power point in my computer ?
refresh...
Remote desktop will work only with windows xp, windows vista business, vista ultimate, vista enterprise, windows 7 pro and windows 7 ultimate. If you have any other version (and i'm guessing your laptop is running windows 7 home) you can forget about using remote desktop but you can use VNC. There are many VNC clients that will work with windows mobile and even more that will work with windows xp/vista/7.
As for your second question, i'm not sure i understand. Surely if you want to remote control powerpoint you would be using RDP or VNC

Remote client?

You could install a VNC server app like VMLite VNC Server on any Android device. Then use a VNC viewer (I use bVNC Pro) to control the device.
That's about the only way.

Get Any Windows OS On Any Android!

Get windows 7, 8, 10 or any version of Windows on your Android phone using teamviewer. Teamviewer is a software that helps to remotely control your PC by using an Android phone. So on this way you can get any version of Windows on your Android phone and also you can remotely control your PC.

VMWare Workstation Pro 17, host is win11 ryzen 7 5825U, 32GB 2TB SSD

Was able to run Ventura in VMware after a couple tweaks on my core i7 laptop.
My new one is AMD based with Radeon graphics and the Ryzen 7 5825U CPU.
I added the standard settings in VMX, it boots up, able to partition and format the partition, and the installer begins to install but either freezes about 30 minutes in, and then a reset causes a boot loop as soon as the Apple logo and status bar starts.
Is this CPU supported, and what might I need to add or adjust in the VMX file?
Am using the latest VMWare Workstation Pro on Windows 11, and latest drd unlocker.
What is meant with Ventura?
Your issue has nothing to do with Windows 11 OS - to which this forum is dedicated, it's VMWare related. Contact VMWare Support

to get helped.
To clarify things:
A host virtual machine (VM) - in your case VMWare - and guest VM - in your case Mac OS - are two crucial components of any virtualization platform. While a host VM provides the underlying PC's hardware resources like processing power, memory, networking, and storage during virtualization, a guest VM is the software component of the VM, comprising an operating system (OS) and associated applications.

I understand how it works. Is there a more appropriate forum? VMware won't respond to such requests.

Thank you. Informative post, appreciated.
Hi all. And how to download macOS Sonoma ISO for Virtualbox and VMWare?
Apple announced macOS Sonoma ISO on June 5, 2023 along with iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17 and watchOS 10. All of these software updates should be available this fall. Most notable here is the end of support for several 2017 models, including the MacBook Pro, 12-inch MacBook, and iMac models from the same year. Devices released within the last five years are still receiving the update. Of course, all the latest Macs support it.
