Hi there, I recently update my x10 mini pro from 2.1 to 2.3, kernel 2.6.29, rooted baseband xxxxx015. The update process went smothly but right now I am having problems with all dialogs, for example when I press the turn off button, the dialog with silent/plain/turn off options appears but cutted off and blinks a lot so I cannot press any button, that happens with all dialogs, also when it asks the wep key, etc, etc. Can someone tell me what's going on. Sorry for my english. Thanks in advance.
Do an factory rest in CWM..test if it works now...if not : factory rest again in cwm and Flash the rom again..

Hi, thanks, I already did what you said but still the problem persists, I also recover my original 2.1 ROM and I noticed that some dialogs have this strange behavior. It's like a problem with the animation when popups are launched and the dialogs keep half folded and you cannot see the options neither click on them. I am adding a picture of what kind of problem I am having, (flip the phone when it asks for wep key to wifi connection, for example, it happens and other dialogs too). Can it be a hardware problem? Help pls.

Disable animation ?

I already try that, but the problem persists. I hope you could check the picture I post before, this behavior its only when the phone is flipped. I was thinking that maybe the accelerometer is not working very good, so when I flipped the phone it doesnt know if its vertical or landscape, thats why the popup goes crazy. Please help!

Anyone know what the problem can be?

Yes, it did that that to me.
Solution :
1. wait for black screen just before next reboot(try and error), long press home key (right buttom key), do not release, phone stop reboot. If you release, it will boot again.
2. at your PC, start Sony update program, wait for it ready prompt you to connect USB cable, then connect USB cable while still press (home key).
3. Sony update program should detect your x10 mini, and check version upgrade, after it report that version already uptodate and prompt you reinstall it again, your answer is YES.
4. until you saw you X10mini green light on, then you can release you hand. Sony update will download again from internet and flash your x10mini.
I did this, sucessfully installed again with 2.1 2.0.2.A.0.24 version. But then you have to reinstall all you apps again from the beginning.
yes, i did reinstall the update from seus 3-4 times. I think it crashed 15 times in some hours.
Finally it also crashed and restarted when switching it off, and the popup screen appears to shut it down. Had to remove battery to turn it off.
i was using titanium backup to restore, so now im restoring applications one by one and testing to see if some of them are causing the crash.
The app2sd crash
Sent from my Pulse using XDA App
im not using app2sd, but today it has crashed 4 times so reinstallling with seus again. im soon giving up..
heres what im doing,- On Norwegian phone
1. install from seus again
2. root phone with this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906231&page=5
3. since im using build.prop with ro.product.name=U20i_1238-8536 im getting for some strange reason keyprint.xml with Keyprint name: QWERTY Swedish/Finnish and <script name="latin" keylayout="qwerty-se-fi"/> when i want norwegian.
Problem here is with 3. party on screen keyboards installed, the hardware keyboard cant write ø and æ. (It becomes ö and ä)
So with root explorer i replace keyprint.xml and mimmi_keypad.kcm.bin found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828558&page=1
I think that can be the problem, but not sure
Edit again..
im 99% sure changing the keymap.xml and mimmi_keypad.kcm.bin from mentioned thread is the cause of the constant crashes.
with build.prop with ro.product.name=U20i_1238-8536 and updating i get Keyprint name: QWERTY Swedish/Finnish. So hardware keyboard cant type ø and æ with third party keyboard installed.
Any advice?
i have a lika problem but my problem is i can't write åäö but i have it on my keyboard it's become the other symbols .',
its lika i have a english keyboard but i dont shold have it. because instad of your .', i have åäö.
Hey Champ,
I had the issue where the home button and the lock screen didnt work, and reflash the whole thing.
I flash the newest FXP kernel, the #4, and the wifi won't run, I havent tried to reload the wifi zip (yet) and the biggest issue is the homescreen auto turns to horizontal, and get's stuck there, my main icons are vertical but the rest of the home screen is horizontal.
What can I do? Reload again everything?
Problem?
Hey Meshe, I'm not Champ but I think I can help you out. My X10 is also running on the Xperia S port.
At this point, hopefully you haven't loaded/restored your apps yet! Cause I think the safest bet is to reload the ROM. Also, when you load the ROM, reboot the system!!! If you want to load add-ons, Wi-Fi, boot back into recovery AFTER you start up the ROM for the first time. I don't think its required, but it worked for me.
As for Wi-Fi I think you want to double check the Wi-Fi module is the same version that matches the kernel you chose (DoomLord has three versions)
Ok so i had flashed real ics v4 on my friends phone. Later someone decided to upgrade it to v r6. Since then the touch of xperia mini pro isnt working. He gave the cell to me and i tried fixing it. Strangely, the touch works only when i select xperia active as my phone instead of xperia mini pro. I saw all the post regarding this issue, but came to no conclusion hence i had to create this thread. So as soon as i flash stock rom on xperia mini pro, the touch stops working again. This is really strange and in a way confirms the touch sensor isnt broken but somehow the sw got messed up. Any fix for this issue?
i flashed this phone nearly 20 times now with no luck!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104484
Tried step 1- failed-somehow flashtool wont flash active's firmware.
Tried cm10+hd 2.02 trick, Touch worked till cm 10, when i went to stock again it failed.
Tried wrong rom one, i dont know which rom the guy flashed so i guess it didnt work.
What i dont understand is why this is happening. I am thinking to flash active version + keyboard fix.But i dont know what else doesnt work using that trick.
Confused really.
Ok so i am using active real ics rom.All seems to work ok, except the leds are too bright(key backlight) and also sym key doesnt work. If anyone can come up wth a better fix then please help me. Thanks!

Tillsomeone fixes it, u can decrease backlight by editing hw_config.sh in system, etc. Scroll near to the bottom.change
@echo 500 (something about button backlight)
To @ echo 1 ie change 500 to 1 and there no button backlight.
Cant do anything about sym key sinse its active Rom and no sym key
Don't forget to hit thanks
HELP, I have an Xperia x10 mini (E10A) and install minicm7 2.2.1_robyn with kernel version: E10_nAa-14_2.6.29.6-nAa-14. everything worked great and I decided to upgrade to minicm9 v. 3.0.5_robyn with kernel: E10_nAa-ics-04_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-04 did not have any problem in the installation, but when it came time to customize, I discovered something unusual, we had a pointer / trackpad. which at first I found very good, but I discovered that has no use or benefit to me, and try to look at the system settings option to disable it, but I did not find that option, the only options I found are on the menu "language and Text Input" and I have only two options for the mouse / trackpad:
Pointer speed
and
show icon when using Stylus
I REALLY WANT TO KNOW HOW TO TURN OFF THE POINTER. AND USE THE TOUCH SCREEN OF MY PHONE AS ALWAYS
That is a reference to the pointer.
the second thing I found different is:
Not able to use the menu button or the power button as both selected applications or menus at different ends of the screen.
my phone has:
unlocked bootloader
10w46 model
Baseband: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015.
AND I DID ALL CORRECT WIPES
I ATTEMPT REINSTALL MINICM9 AND FLASH KERNEL AGAIN BUT REMAINS THE SAME. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
Some Screenshots

You can turn off the pointer in settings-development.
Not sure what you mean by your problem with the menu- and power-buttons though.

The keys do not work properly are the power, the first time camera key and the home key. the home and power buttons all they do is move the screen menus up and down but noi do their proper function. the camera button when pressed opens the application "Email"
I can turn off my phone, I have access to the shutdown options.
I'll do it again tonight and will share my results tomorrow
Thanks SmG67

Solved.
Reinstalled with SEUS to Eclair (2.1) and returned to install the kernel and the ICS rom.
Doing this solved the problems with the pointer and buttons for power and home button.
Thanks for the help.
I own xperia mini pro (sk17i) and I have problem with back key button. My back key sometimes activates on its own, without pressing it, and touch somethimes becomes unresponsive, so i need to reset my phone via keyboard. Phone is on ICS 4.0.4. and i tried every software, even custom rom (cyanogenmod 9.1) but it still happens. I heard that this problem called "overheating" problem, but i even tried to type script in GSrcipt lite, like says on one source, but after this, everything stays the same. I love this phone , and i want to fix this issue, so please help if you know! Thanks!
The problem with "calibration" is that it was researched for/by peeps who use smultron ..
Idiot n00b bloggers pasted the same code and "expected" it to work as such which is not the case....
Mini pro has 4 drivers ...
Touch_mango_hitachi.hex,touch_mango_seiko.hex,touch_mango_sony_type1.hex and touch_mango_sony_type2.hex
In any case,if you check hw_config.sh,minipro is calibrated automatically and it doesn't require any calibration ...
If you are using any scratch guard ,please remove it and check if there is dirt between the sticking ...
Alternatively, flash .431 ftf instead of .587 or vice versa ...it might remove bugs...
