voodoo sound control or similar...possible? - HTC Amaze 4G

One of my favorite things about my old vibrant was the tweaking done on the audio chip and the related voodoo sound control app. Will there be anything like it (or is it possible) with the amaze? xboarder?

Hi.
Q: Is it GUI-configurable? It is switchable OFF without RE-flashing the phone?
Asking because I installed some much older release of Beats Audio, it works but not possible to switch it off and no UI config utility at all...
By the way, I am also Russian
So, this MOD - for sure well-tested on DLL4/5 stock-based ROMs?
PS. 1 more Q: is it COMPATIBLE with PowerAMP and its built-in equalizer?

Verizon Note II + uNeak Kernel, voodoo sound

So after trying literally every kernel that was labeled as being compatible with the Note II for Verizon and finding out that Voodoo Sound/Boeffla/Wolfson control was broken I decided to try the uNeak kernel for the international Note II.
First off the uNeak kernel does work fine! As far as I can tell everything works including GPS, 4G, and most importantly voodoo sound/boeffla.
The uNeak Engine app controls the voodoo sound implementation and actually works with all the features unlike every other kernel I have tried.
In order to have the Note II sound like the original Galaxy S w/voodoo sound you have to use the hardware EQ within the uNeak engine app. The key thing here is do not raise the eq sliders 0db. If you do so the output goes into saturation and sounds crappy.
Also the Output saturation preventer works but causes volume pumping that is highly annoying. Make sure and turn it to OFF. The original Voodoo Sound used to use this (I think) but it doesn't pump the volume during quiet passages so I don't know what the difference is in implementation. Needless to say it does not work like Voodoo Sound original so disable it.
With these tweaks the Note II finally sounds nearly the same as Voodoo Sound + Galaxy S.
If anyone has anything to add to this, PLEASE post. This issue has been driving me nuts since I stopped using my Galaxy S (fascinate) with Voodoo Sound.. the best music experience I have ever had on any device/player.
Hi Redrol,
Thanks, your post came just as I was revisiting audio options for my Verizon Note II which I've run stock/rooted since Oct 2012. I finally decided to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP and try some other ROMs. I used Viper4Android previously which helped with low volume and had some interesting settings like the Haas effect and is a great solution for people who are stock/rooted. I've been listening for about an hour with just the NEAK kernel and your recommended settings in the NEAK engine app. The Note II is pushing even my quietest headphones to satisfying volume levels and sounds great.

You guys are using this kernel on 4.3 ROMs?
Which kernel is compatible with i605?
Could someone be more specific?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app

Sound engine.

Sony Xperia Z3 sound engine.
Backup is needed. Set on a clean system (without sound mods). System sound engine for expensive headphones. Install : flash via custom recovery stage and reboot .
:good:
With the Viper, with the same settings much detalizirovannoi and better sound became, the need for pulse has completely disappeared, more stably produces different styles of music for those who do not like to Tinker with settings.
Can u provide some more information?
what...

Depending on the file name, that could be a ripoff of the other Beats Audio settings. Besides, Beats Audio sounds crap, so no, I wouldn't install that.
Strange logic without trying not listening to judge the quality of the sound in absentia.
No, it is just that I know Beats Audio, and the only equalizer I am using in my speaker setup is the one that flattens out the bass and straightens the mids a little (not pulls it up the bass and highs like Beats Audio). I don't need to listen to that since I already know what Beats Audio does and I do not like it.
beats audio mod for "EXPENSIVE HEADPHONES" ??? DDDDDDDDDDDD whatta fu^k!? Why would anyone buy a decent pair of headphones just to artificially emphasize the bass!? Those kind of mods are for toys, not for real headphones.

Mod for decreased stereo width in Audio?

Hi folks, total noob here
I'm using my old Samsung Galaxy Wonder GT-i8150 as an MP3 player. I rooted it and installed Ainur Nero mod to get the best possible audio quality, however the thing I was trying to remedy is the exaggerated stereo width which affects the levels in the music ( I'm a music producer and quite fussy about this). I'm guessing it's some kind of default setting.
Is there another kind of mod or ROM I can install which will give me control of this?
Failing that, is there an easy way to remove Ainur Nero and get back the same function I had before, as it's disabled some features I'd really like to get back if possible
thanks in advance!

Stock kernel with Sound control?

Is there any kernel that almost has none modifications beside sound control? Most tweaks and stuff they do to custom kernels actually make my phone worse.
