The batteries in corporate stores retail for $59.99, and are $30 off right now. A little more than the post you listed shows, but that is going to be the price for the southwest region, probably for the company in full. The $39.99 is a standard battery. The Thunderbolt battery will work if you are coming from that, but you would need the back. We normally carry them by themselves for $5 not long after launch.
I have a friend who works for VZW, and I'll check with her tomorrow. In the link I provided the forum members are talking about buying the half off rezound batteries to place into their thunderbolts to get better battery life. Halfway down the page a guy from El Paso posted this:

I work for Verizon myself, that part number you quoted is a standard battery, not an extended. The extended is HTC6425BATX. I do not believe, at least here in Phoenix, that the standard batteries are half off. I will check tomorrow and let you guys know. I misinterpreted your OP, I automatically thought you meant an extended not a spare standard.

So, I plan on getting an extended battery once Verizon ships me a new HTC Rezound (due to speaker & overheating problems) and I was curious about where you got your extended battery, and the price you paid for it?
Well, I took a trip to Verizon today and was told that they didn't have any in stock and I would have to order it for 79.99. Obviously, I know there has to be cheaper.

I went and got the extended battery today and they told me the sale was over, it rang up at 49.99. Did a bundle deal and paid 42 after tax. I did take care of my overheating problem though. Used to hit 127 degrees and lose 25% of battery playing shine runner. Now it didn't go over 111 and lost 8%. I'm happy.

I got mine for $30 yesterday when I got the phone. Now the phone weighs about what my Incredible did with the 3500 mAh battery.
Thus far...rather light usage since I really don't have "new phone syndrome" this time, I've barely budged the battery indicator with the phone up for four hours. The Incredible would be down below 85% under similar conditions.

Yeah, just go in the store give them your number so they can look up your account and see if you have a discount. It may work on other accessories as well.
Picked mine up today. If you haven't done it yet, it sounds like tomorrow is your last chance.

Hey guys, I saw this posted over on SlickDeals and didn't see it posted on XDA. Figured I'd post it here in case anyone is interested.
Buy.com has the 16GB Flyer for $199.99 with free shipping. It is a refurbished unit, so hopefully everything works properly. I'm not sure about international shipping charges, I imagine it is only free to the US (could be wrong though).

I bought one of these yesterday at 6pm, paid for 2 day shipping and it arrived today at 2pm - 20 hours!!!
It looks great, like I just took it out of the original wrapper. I tried it for a few minutes, then upgraded (I guess that's debatable) to honeycomb. It's leedroid version, so I suppose it should be pretty good.
Now this is the first thread I read in the general section... what ever happened to the days when I would read for days on how to root a new system

I've never heard mention of an active digitizer for the asus tablet. There's really not enough solid information out there.

Very true statement... I've progressively meditated away the temptation of buying the Note so far... But out of curiosity, has anyone gone out today & gotta price match @ this amazon price yet?
I called 611 on my phone to talk to Customer Service this past Saturday to tell them that Frys was selling the Note for $199 and they credited my account $100. I was just three days shy of my 30 day purchase date. All they asked me was when did i buy my phone. I didn't have to prove that the price had dropped.

I got mine at BB for 199.99 and this was with an upgrade. They price match to how much Fry's is selling them. But it wasn't that easy.
The first BB I went to didn't do it so I went to another BB and they tried checking Fry's website to see if they could find the ad. But finally after 2 hrs. I got my Note.
Funny story is that the BB that did price match had to send someone to pick up from the store that did not do the price match.
Thankgod Fry's had one store in Illinois. During their promotion I used it at local Best Buy..... 25.5 miles away or 0.5 miles over the BB distance limit.
Might be picking this baby up 2morrow... Price matching @ 229, $50 off from freedom choice, $5 certificate, and $100 dollar check I just found going through junk mail today dated from 2010 w/ no expiration date from Time Warner in my sectional's compartment chest(LOL!!) will cost me only $55 bucks.... Prolly game set match 2morrow....

I received my note from Amazon wireless on Friday last week. Setup is super easy. Just be sure you don't change your contract for 181 days or Amazon will charge you some ridiculous amount. The flexibility off ATT seems pretty good though. Go over your data for the month and they just charge for another gig at $10. I will tell you that I called after I ordered it and asked them to ship overnight as there was no option during the checkout to change shipping speed. They upgraded me for free. Really good service through Amazon. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FINE PRINT THOUGH. You'll see what I mean about 181 days.

I was able to get the guys at Best Buy to agree to price match the $229 price, even though it was technically against their price matching policy. Combined with the $50 gift card deal I had, it was fantastic. I just hope I can do the same when my other line comes up for upgrade next month!

Yeah, I hear ya. As with the previous few Black Friday deals for me, it'll all be done with a click of the mouse and that's it.
Man, I hope they keep it at this price.. I have 3 other lines I'll be bringing over to VZW if the DNA turns out to be as good as they say.. (I'm switching to VZW anyhow, not just for the DNA) :silly:
Wirefly would let me create the pre-order. But, VZW configrmed that I am not eligible for an upgrade until February.
Then, the fine print for Wirefly said that if for any reason the service is not maintained for 181 days, or the service is fraudulently added, etc, they will charge an additional $400 per smartphone.
I figured that this was just yet another way for VZW to screw me over, so I bailed.
Best thing i can do is vote with my dollars and take revenue away from Verizon ASAP.

So far I have bought 3 DNA's using wirefly. For my girlfriend, her mother, and myself. Of course I end up getting the one with light leaking through the screen from the menu key light. Looks like a light/dead pixel but its much larger than a pixel would be on this screen and only visible when the menu keys light up. Customer service has been very good, they are going to ship me a new one and once I get it and set it up I can ship the other one back.
