Photon unlocked work on tmobile? What speeds$ - Motorola Photon 4G

If it works would it be edge or 3g?

No, it won't. The radio for this device has been written to ignore all domestic cell phone towers.
A search will confirm. There is a bounty out for a domestic capable radio.

True I can use it fine with every European or non American cellphone provider but not with att or t mobile USA.

That's something you should ask T-Mobile about. They have a website and everything

Um, what unbranded phone works with tmo-us 3g bands? You have to be able to receive the correct frequencies in order to get 3g, and tmo-us uses non-worldly 3g bands, unlike att.
So, while dumb, it's the reality of the situation.

Nokia n9 is coming with a pentaband radio, so it will work on Tmobile 3g.

Because it doesnt have the TMO radio band for TMO's HSPA+ (wait I forget this is the international section, are you talking about TMO US?) If It's TMO US that is why. the international doesnt have TMO's AWS band for their HSPA + so you will be stuck on 2G data speeds
Because the international S3 can only get 2g speeds on T-Mobile.
you can get hspa+ if you use it on at&t or if you are in one of the areas where T-Mobile has refarmed the 1900mhz frequency for 3g but I think I saw someone mention here yesterday that there are only 5 areas so far but they should be more widespread in the next few months.

No.
Its a hardware thing, not a software thing.
You have three choices, wait for 1900mhz to be refarmed to 3g in your area, change to at&t or put up with 2g speeds.
Simple as that really.

I can only imagine how you feel being stuck with that constantly, when I lose signal with my carrier (3 Ireland) it roams onto vodafone Ireland and I only get 2g speeds then, its unbearably slow.
When I was in America a few months back I got a tmo sim in new Orleans and had 3g speeds but when I went about 5 hours north I was roaming on at&t and they don't let you use data at all when roaming, a-holes!

Can I unlock my galaxy s2 for sprint and use it on t mobile

?????
Sent from my LG-E739 using xda app-developers app
Sprint is a CDMA network, and T-Mobile is a GSM network. Phones for one type of network will not work on the other.

U.S. Cellular

Why is there no help offered for U.S. Cellular users? I see every other carrier except USCC...

You could flash it to Page Plus Cellular. It's a prepaid service provider that runs off of Verizon towers with good service and ridiculously reasonable plan prices that can be changed monthly depending on your needs. That's what my husband and I have ours on.
