Someone tell wch onebis the best kernel for galaxy ace with great battery life & speed enhancement!! speed is secondary but i don't want to reduce the standard working speed of device
i need it for my friends ace he is very normal user not power user!! all he need is better battery life
Sent from my Galaxy S II via XDA app so sorry if i did any typographical or other mistakes!!
For stock roms there is only 2 kernels. Stock kernel or cfroot kernel.
For cyanogenmod there is also only 2 kernels. The default one with or without overclocking and another one with more CPU governors and io schedulers.
+1 for cfroot b82-ex + fixed patch
if he want battery life ,use cf-root with desabling speed and enabling battery life tweaks

I'm interested in the cyanogen kernel with more schedulers. Where can I find it?

What is your Overclock Application used? Do you use one? Where you can set up to 1Ghz?
I am just using SetCPU.
But this is not an Overclock but a CPU management.
you will require a special kernel which has to be developed just like a CM port, and only then can you overclock.

Don't listen to that guy, try everything and pick what's best for you.
On the other hand, you have all the instructions in the CM7 thread. Don't be a f**** and read the install guide from there.
=-O okay but I'll after I got bored with this stock ROM....Anyway tanq for ur suggestion.....

am saying him to try everything but not now!! cz most users f*** up their phones by trying stuffs when they are newbie so am telling him to try those stuffs after learning more abt Android & flashing
Edit: IMO i recommend u to use SPEEDMOD kernel or SIYAH kernel over stock cz speedmod is good in terms of speed & battery compared to stock & siyah is best in battery backup flashing kernel won't change UI & some kernel like speedmod won't support custom ROM's dunno abt siyah i think it supports custom too

here's the link for speed mod use the stable kernel 16 am on v17 test-1 & that is perfectly fine
dunno abt siyah, i hink it has custom clock!!
i recommend u to use SPEEDMOD!!
u can make even stock kernel like custom upto certain limit if u are on XWKF3 temme i hv an mod for battery, auto color change to green in notif when connected to gtalk & CRT screen off!!
& i hv musicplayer.apk customised by me to look like itunes cz Samsung default album art looks cheap!!
i also have mod to use volume keys for camera
volume keys can & musicplayer.apk works on any firmware
u can freeze apps u don like with titanium backup i freezes game hub & readers
don't forget to take cam bakup
before flashing & this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!
& take an cwm as soon as u root & copy it to pc !!
if u think i really helped u hit thnx!!

He stopped doesn't mean the tweaks aren't in. They're outdated. Goldenleaf/gbs is pretty much the best the way it is anyways. Based ib Just search Google like :' flashable tweaks LG p500 Franco xda' if u still want it.

Can someone provide links for tweaks for our optimius one.if u know please provide them
Don't follow, you can lead the way
That thread has been deleted. Franco asked mod to delete it!
There is no point in installing those tweaks - android defaults are good enough already.
Franco's tweaks gives a very very small impact on battery life and performance, so i guess no point using them, we should still use google android default values
I installed sliadfastmod and turboboost script on cf kernal DDKQ6 but i cant see any performance improvement .. Y ?? please help ! Should i change the permissions of any of the scripts .. i dont think those scripts are being executed !
i have theses scripts in that folder alongwith a2sd
87calibration
97FastMods
75enable_touchscreen_1
s95slaidMod
s95zipalign
s98CFSK
s98system_tweak
for which of them should i change permissions ??
THANKS IN ADVANCE !
Try installing the LagFree V2 script and delete 95slaidmod script. There should be a change in performance. It would be good to overclock to about 864 mHZ for even better performance.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
thanks for the reply .. but again should i delete the turboboost script also ??
and DO I HAVE TO SET ANY PERMISSIONS FOR LAGFREE SCRIPT ???
No need of setting permissions if you flash it through cwm.
Sent from Galaxy Ace!
And I don't think you should delete turboscript. Many people are using both lagfree and turbo.

Exactly. Turboboost v8.5 and Lagfree V2 are brothers in arms.

Hello guys!
I just want to ask what is the best configuration for Ace "i", configuration :
SOFT->ROM->ADDONS
If someone can, please give me some tips what is best for our phone to make it faster, smoother and lighter.
Im just bored, my phone work so slowly, now i have Ace-i-Sure 6.0 aboard, before i had Simplicity 5, and now i just want to get the best of the best. Tell me your opinion about ROM's.
Thanks, and sorry for my bad language.
See buddy comparing roms is not allowed in xda
U can't state that this is the best rom present here
U have to see for yourself which rom suits u the best
I would recommend simplicity with supercharger adrenaline and Rafael kernel for supersmoothness
Rest is upto u

I think the graphics driver for the videocore4 hardware is only in the stock rom. Until the source code for a fully functional driver is available I think other firmwares rely on software rendering and slow down everything else the CPU does. I'm using Rafaels kernel on stock and a second partition on the SDcard for the link2SD app.
Thread closed as its essentially a Best ROM thread.
