so i unlocked my titan with chevron and touch xplorer won't install and neither will sound enhancer, i get the same error message off of application deployment, any remedies? and also tube8 installed but won't load
For some applications you will need interop-unlock - the applications(explorer,registry editor etc) "reach" too much inside in the system.
Sound enhancer is already a part of the system - you will find it in the Setting
are you serious? sound enhancer is already there? the same thing happened to my mango hd7 and i had to manually sideload the xap onto the phone, I will check settings
its a shame about touchxplorer, i miss my custom notification tones at least i have screenshot app though
Yes,Sound Enhancer is really a part of the system and now it is "hidden" in Settings of Mango. .. it is not installed as a drive under the icon in the applications ´list

Looks like you have skipped some steps when you started the phone for the first time and the HTC applications were not installed.
There is no HTC Titan without Sound Enhancer.

how do you manage to unlock your titan with chevron?? using earlier version of chevron unlock tools or paying $9 for the unlock?
i paid $9 for the unlock and it makes me wonder if it's a "ghetto" unlock lol, because i can't load somethings onto it, like touchxplorer, tube8, or sound enhancer, and coincidentally touchxplorer stopped working on my mango hd7, and yes other titan owners say they have sound enhancer on their phone, at least i have screenshot, battery status and phone reset

Ive been trying to install the battery app, it says it has installed it with no errors but its not on the phone, did you have any problems with it?

Yes, i have just unlocked it. $9, no pain at all, unlocked under 3 secs and it limit you to 10 apps, the new SDK prevent to install anything regulate to modifield the system
Tube8 doens't run, i suggest you to use IE Private Browsing Mode if you want to enjoy the moment for yourself only. LOL.
Sound Enhancer now is on the setting, i can confirm that.
I don't know why mine is missing and I really don't want to reset the phone sigh

I think that my phone is rebooting when I am not using it, sleep mode. Is there some program that can tell me what/which app or process is causing it?
I know that it might be doing this because I have a program that sends a notify sound when sync is enabled and on my home wifi. I keep hearing the sound randomly during the day and night. And the UberSocial app count of tweets is wrong and opening to the middle of tweets I haven't read yet.

Well, there's several things since I test and suggest features in apps for a few developers.... these things get removed after I Q&A the latest alphas; but I'm not modding my firmware, and I run NAM stock 2.3.3 with only the SD Speed Increase app and I go in and out of running SetCPU, sometimes I run it and sometimes I don't and I always reboot when I make a change. No Bravia, no xLouder, no modded build.prop. I do run the newer SE Home Launcher which has the remove app red x buttons instead of the jiggly icons.
Main difference lately is:
1. Moved a lot of big apps to SD card using 2.3.3's move app to SD. So that's a change. Had to do this because I was running out of room and couldn't do multiple updates at the same time (aka update all). I have a 32Gb class 10 card. I have 90 apps installed.
2. Around 12 of my main apps have had multiple updates in the last two weeks. Very odd, and something could be off in one of the updates.
3. I use Twitdroid Pro, and while they setup/finish the Ubersocial Pro, I have both apps on the phone, and can't delete the old Twitdroid Pro until the Ubersocial Pro is ready unless I want to lose my pay license. I have it setup to not start the Twitdroid pro with boot (which is a difference).
4. I have a app "Unlock with Wifi" which is running in Admin mode, to turn on the Google/FB sync when I'm on my home network. It also controls my lock screen and timeouts. The screen has been locking up when it shouldn't I've notified the dev but it may be due to the suspected reboot (which would be the right thing to do, lock up the screen even if I'm on my home network).
Non-stop issues with my Titan and trying hard to identify the source of the problem.
Twice I've spend multiple hours setting up my Titan, syncing files, installing apps.. configuring.. Then finally the Chevron unlock. Only for the next day something strange to occur.
Out of nowhere the phone will show the black Zune sync screen and say it's syncing.. yet it's not attached the to PC and I'm at work away from my home PC. So i cancel the screen.. then suddenly the UI glitches and I can't open any hubs. Any hub I press starts to open then goes back to the homescreen in some glitchy manner.
So I have no choice but to reset. Then upon reset it starts to go through the initial first time setup! But yet all my files and apps are still there after going through it.. Weird. Another reset causes my phone to freeze on the HTC logo then I have to manually perform a hard reset.
Now I don't know.. is my phone a bad one of the batch and need replacement or is my phone just having a delayed bad reaction to the Chevron unlock? All I sideloaded was the Nokia Maps Beta, Screenshot app and the Battery meter homebrew app.

Wierd problem you got urself there.. It could be a faulty device, but I wouldn't give up on it just yet.. Try to do a hard reset, delete everything, and then try it again.. With chevron unlock, I assume ur using the legit developer unlock? right?

Can anyone explain the benefits of this unlock?
Does it mean we have choice of about 100 more apps, but that's about it?

Benefits with the unlock is that you can sideload apps and install apps from your pc. Also homebrew apps that's not in the marketplace..
Sounds to me like your device is attempting to wirelessly sync with your computer. Disable wireless sync & see if this changes the devices behaviour. I take it your device is charging or has been charging when this happens.

Well wireless sync was not enabled on Zune on my home PC. BUT I did sync it manually once. When I got to work I plugged in the cable to charge it. Left it for a while.. found the screen saying syncing.. but yet no Zune is even on my work PC. Then it glitched out like nuts..
Anyway it's clearly a broken device. I went through the entire setup again of my phone but minus the Chevron unlock for testing purposes. When all was said and done I did a soft reset for fun to ensure it was stable. It booted back up, and after unlocking the screen the homescreen was black except for the time on the top. Hitting buttons would cause it to vibrate. Volume buttons brought up the onscreen volume. Holding the windows button brought up voice control.. BUT no homescreen and no tiles or start menu so no programs could be launched. Soft resets did not resolve.
I'd definitely say it's the device now.

Are there any apps that are worth undergoing all these procedures and payment? Or are there just few handpicked (5-6) apps that are not on market.
Ideally I would do this, if those apps included things like:
SMS back up
SMS scheduler
anything that will switch of haptic feedback on home, back and search buttons
more accent colours
I keep failing to find any resource that has these sort of apps. I don't want to unlock it only to find out that it wasnt worth it. I'm very skeptical and unsure where to dig!

First I would like to appreciate the hard work Fusiondev has put into this custom built ROM & say thank you! Am loving it,so much better than stock.
I however have run into abit of an anomaly. The default messaging app seems to have persistence without the option of removing it. It also shares dialer app function of storing the simcard's pin no. thus if you attempt to kill it,it won't die but you'll instantly receive a notification requesting you to enter your pin code.
It would also have been nice if the edge/2G/3G connectivity notification wasn't tied to messaging notification sound settings,its a little odd when you have a voice notifying mp3 for messages then again you here it on edge/2G/3G connectivity notification. Can anyone confirm this issue coz I followed instructions to the letter when installing FusionIdeos 2.7.10. I used clockworkmod & didn't forget to wipe/factory reset before flashing. I also can't tell how many characters am typing in the messaging app.
Installing a third party messaging app like Go SMS Pro still fails to relieve the default messaging app of its persistence & causes message/notification duplication. Is there a fix for this issue?
Anyone pliz help! I re-installed FusionIdeos and all I get now is improved battery life,the prob still persists even after fresh download. I can't get into boatloader mode (something I later also discovered). It just displays a blue 2 @ the bottom right of the screen & I have to remove the battery to boot normally. Anyone help me.!

Infact I'd love it if you could suggest a good app that does just that coz I have installed apps alone without games & all am left with is a measly 57MB. How would one untie the edge/2G/3G notification tone to the text messaging notification tone?

Let me see, where do I start. Alright that app means serious biz. I played around with it and it cost me my keyboard hence wasnt able to post here until now. As of now I have been through CynogenMod 7.2 found that it cant surf the net, has no list of APN list and now am back. When I used system app remover to take out mms.apk (messaging app) it went with the system keyboard. It was extremely persistent in giving a "force close" error right until I rebooted the phone. So I flashed CynogenMod 7.2, realized it cant surf then looked for an online pc and had to download a third party keyboard.
What effectively happened was my system now has alot of free ram instead of free space, its very fluid in performance especially with Go laucher Ex effects all enabled. I really wish there could be some FusionIdeos update separating all this ties within the system. I believe the reason why this ROM is so big is because of the language packs coz the CynogenMod 7.2 ROM left me with 142MB to play with but this one does only 67MB as of now. Is there anyway this language packs can be removed? I still cannot boot into bootloader mode

Yes I am able to.
As for (power+red+vol.down), what happens is, the phone reboots then remains in a sort of an idling state where nothing is happening,I have been reading around and now it seems that is what they call bootloader mode,if that's it then yes. Probably its idle coz there isnt a zip to update to. Is that right? I also read in some forum that you can flash clockworkmod recovery using bootloader mode with a custom zip but only in Evo,havent found for u8150-D yet.
I believe I can get more freespace if I can remove the language packs that I dont need. Know how?

Considering the heading of this topic, I would say that my problem has been solved by simply removing the default messaging app, therefore this topic can be bagged and tagged. Link2SD also solved my space issues dramatically... even my launcher 10MB is auto linked 2 sd and works flawlessly!

I have an HTC Titan and used to run Shazam OK, but stopped working.
Uninstalled, restarted, re-installed and the same issue.
I have sent my phone back to HTC and they have completely reflashed it - everything else works fine. I am still using 8107.
I have once again downloaded Shazam and I get the error "couldnt complete setup at this time. Please try later. Error (2)"
Any ideas?

If even HTC couldn't fix it won't it be worth checking if Shazam can advice anything?
Also, check out the in-built music recognition via search button. I've never needed anything like Shazam or Soundhound after using that. It also links me to marketplace for some songs I want to download or buy! - I love it.

Agree, the built in solution (accessed by the magnifying glass followed buy the music symbol) works OK - no where near as accurate as Shazam based on my experience though.
Have mailed Shazam AGAIN .... still waiting for a response.

Hello. first up im new here but as i have been waiting 3 days for my activation email i have been reading a lot on this forum. but there is one thing i cant seem to find an answer for.
basically like everyone else i have the low audio jack output problem. i dont have a rooted phone and all this talk of pushing files to adjust some core settings really means nothing to me (this is my first Android phone). really couldnt work out if the phone had to be rooted or not.
as i was looking for a solution i came across Volume+ (i believe the inventor is on here and might have found the hard code fix everyone else is using) bought it and gave it a try and can confirm its definitely louder. BUT when i went to Setting -> Sounds, a new option appeared called "sound Effects" or "Music Effects" which gives me option to select between the new Volume+ and MusicFX. literally as i got here pop up screen "MusicFX has crashed" etc etc
is this normal??
what is musicFX? is it actually needed?
do i have to be rooted to do this Hard Code option that most people are using?
any help is greatly appreciated.

Music FX is the incorporated Samsung sound thing .
Will Vol + and Music FX crash yes in my experience .
Few are using hard code few are using DSP manager and yes you need root .
I can give no advice on sound level as i don't have that problem playing MP3 at level 4 normally .

little update on this old thread. tried multiple times to get hold of the owner of Volume+. he has not answered any of my questions thus making this product not fit for purpose.
i have no way of getting a refund for a ****e app that doesnt work properly.
i have reported to Google so will see what they will do.
