Moving the torch.apk & torch.odex to /system/app
Ok, i got it...
use root explorer and add them to System/app and paste both files there.
I also changed the permissions of the file and selected just the following:
USER = READ + WRITE
GROUP = READ
OTHERS = READ
Nice Apps..

no, you need a CyanogenMod ROM :/
So what is so different about this that it cannot install on stock rom? I mean stock roms have apk file with odex files and they work? I really want to get the torch in CyanogenMod to work with my stock 2.3.6.

Did you set the permissions right? I believe it should work. At least it does on stock ROM. Are there any other files associated with the key board app?

yeah, what rom are you on? coz it gives fc on cm9 and did you set permissions as rw-r--r--?
I'd suggest giving Swype a try, if the default keyboard doesn't work for you. Just go to beta.swype.com and follow the instructions.
For the stock 4.1.2 polish rom I mean.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hey guys,
I have a rooted galaxy s2 running jelly bam android 4.2.2 rom, fm radio app is missing in the rom. I need stock jelly bean rom of galaxy s2, or any other alternative app. I tried fm radio by Sutton shin of play store it didn't worked for me
(not Internet radio apps like tune in etc. A traditional fm app like stock app)
Thank you.

Yes, For now none will wrk on AOKP JB v4.2.2 or roms based on it
Bottom line is, if you really need it, run stock. If you want an alternative (to work on AOSP), code it yourself. Just about every dev who's ever been asked about this has gone 'Who cares ?' (Codeworkx did this quite memorably once & threw a bunch of expletives in for good measure).

Thanks for your suggestion. If I had coded it myself I would have posted the link for the apk file along with this post, since the question was about custom roms there is no question of stock rom
