http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1068553#
Not trying to scare you, but I'm just tying to UNDO that - installing CWM recovery, because my phone is bootlooping. I had cm7mini by paul, because I had problems with it I updated the phone with original update, and now it loops the boot sequence. Still figuring what to do...
try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1257701
or this
1-U have to find and download (latest CWM.zip)
2-Move the xxx.zip to sdcard (root directory) (don put in any folder)
3-boot into xrecovery
4-sellect install from sdcard
5-choose your xxx.zip (on step 1)
or u can try this
1-find any custom room which one can install using xrecovey BUT!!
the custom room must be dual recovery preinstall (Xrecovery and CWM)
2-Now u already hace CWM recovery now you can install what ever rom U liked

I keep trying to get in, but I'm always getting sent to the stock recovery... this is what i'm doing
first I installed root access... Update.zip is in the internal memory (if i put it on the SD card, when I click reinstall it says file isn't found . . . ?), Update.zip is still there (not sure if I was supposed to remove it)
1. Open Rommanager
2. Clck Flash Recovery ClockworkMod Recovery
3. Pick Vibrant (MTD)
4. Pick ClockworkMod 2.x
5. Click Reboot into Recovery
when I do this it brings me to the stock recovery, tried about 3-4 times now with no success
Question: Are you on the stock rom?
If so, you can select "Galaxy S Vibrant" in Rom Manager to flash CWM, then reboot to recovery. The MTD one I believe is for 2.3 roms that can't boot into CWM via 3 button combo.
first off u have root correct? u have to install packages twice first. Then u will end up in green recovery. Then from green recovery flash any rom. But if ur trying to flash cm, u wanna pick 3x not 2x.
Ur update package could be corrupt, get a new one.
nevermind, i figured it out, i just simply rooted it with CWM manually instead
1. First you need to root your phone. The easiest way is by using Superoneclick:Superoneclick
2. Then you need to install xRecovery because CWM cannot be instaled on Stock Rom( I tried but with no success). You can use this: AIO Automatic Instalation Script
3. After that download this package:cwmr3_xrecinstall and put it into SD card
Boot into xRecovery and instal this custom zip.
This is how i did it and get CWM for STOCK ROM
I can't install(or run) xRecovery on my Stock rom,
The device is already Rooted with SuperOneClick, and have a root file manager, installed busybox, terminal and the AIO script, but isn't work, just install the dualtouch driver, the JIT but it says the xRecovery is installed as well, but when I reboot the phone and try to enter in recovery just turn on normaly.. I don't understand what happen.. any idea??
I did this 4 times this weekend while testing stock ROM again on my Mini Pro:
Root with SuperOneClick.
Busybox from market (with Busybox Installer).
AAIS from [Updated]AIO Automatic Installation Script For X10 Mini/Mini Pro-Firmware 2.1.1.A.0.6
Install XRecovery from AAIS.
Install CyanoComb (the version I still had in SD) that comes with CWM, reboot in CWM.
Install whatever ROM you like using CWM
Hehe you guys must have missed something.. I have done like 4 resetts with seus on 2 days..
Root then aais to install cwm and that worked for me directly.. No probs here..
I have Sony live with walkman with unlocked bootloader,... ANd i want to install cyanogen mod 7.2 onto my phone...
I have GB 2.3.4 now,... do i need to root my phone to install cyanogen? I've done many things to install cm...
1st i upgraded to ICS 4.0.4 and rooted, then installed clockworkmod... then i accessed the cwm menu,.. i had cm zip file in my memory card...
i wiped and cleared all data from phone... then choose install from sd card,. but i couldn't it shows installation aborted,....
then i thought(as i am not well aware of all these things) it's the problem with kernel,.. so i installed cyanogen's kernel then again tried to access cwm... but i couldn't ( i think cwm is gone)...
someone plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me to clear all the issues,... what shall i do?
i am a n00b, so.////
try to download this rom http://fiberupload.com/old9faooa9pv/FXP130-cm-7-20120716-UNOFFICIAL-coconut.zip its also cm 7.2 before flashing the rom first flash boot.img file from fast boot flasher this file will be placed inside the zip. After installing cwm will be preinstalled in it so just copy the zip to sd card and flash the rom.
Your boot loader must be unlocked to flash custom kernel (boot.img necessary for running cyanogen). Browse around development section - there are few threads with all the info you need.
Hi
I've unlocked the bootloader of my phone, then installed CWM. cwm was working fine for days, then I can't boot into cwm.
cwm is installed. (I can install zip files from pimp my rom where cwm in required)
But I can't install any roms cause I can't boot into cwm menu.
So what do I do now? Can I directly reinstall cwm? OR I've to flash back to stock ftf file and then again install cwm?
Its weird. :s

Got it. Its working again, just reinstalled CWM.
One question, is there ANY battery parentage mod available? I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1724465 this one but not working in .54 firmware.
Well, this is my first serious thread. So, if I'm mistaken about something. Please forgive me.
So, let's start.
Installed CWM 6 or TWRP Recovery without bluescreen
If you are not having bluescreen problem, when succesfully flashed CWM 6 or TWRP (by Mardon, for flashing omni rom)
Then this easy guide is for you!
-Flash CWM 6.0.4.7, you can find it in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48884054&postcount=2 (It's fixed the bluescreen problem, and skip this if you already flashed this before.)
-Flash CWM 5.0.2.6, you can find it in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609021 (Maybe, other CWM 5 works too)
-If it's going well, Reboot Recovery
-Voila! Now your ace should in CWM 5 without odin, and adb, and bla bla thingy
Installed CWM 6 or TWRP Recovery with bluescreen
Using Odin
-Go to this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609021
-And, then install CWM 5
Using ADB, or phone terminal
-Go to this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2583845&page=12
If you want go to the easy way, but extreme...
-Download CWM 5 first! And place it in sdcard
-Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49631367
There you go!
Hope this help...
