This is happening to me with UnNamed, and has for a few versions.
My ringtone and notification tone does not change.
I have tried this with a fresh install of UnNamed (1.3.1 Full and 1.2.1 to 1.3.0), nothing else installed.
I have unfrozen everything.
I have done 2 clean installs of the rom (Wiped both caches)
I do not have any custom sounds for certain contacts.
I have used SQLite to look at the settings.db and the changes are being made.
Is there something I did when coming from a different ROM that is causing this? Anything else I can do other then head to another rom?
Tired of hearing the "Whistle" notification when it should be "Captains Log".
are you sure your phone has "Captains Log"? Stock rom does not, as I recall.

after flashing with AXURA 2.2.6 Rom i have 2 problems
1. My bluetooth doesnot work, its getting ON but not able to share anything its says Sorry " The aplication OPP (process com.android.bluetooth) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
2. there was a file explorer the name was FILE only this is also not opening. I know there are other file explorer available, but I need this one only 2 work.
Anyone can help me please.
have you tried rebooting the phone?
If you brought over some of your bluetooth system settings through titanium backup, there's as good chance it's causing the error.
It happened to me, and I was running the same rom . Try reflashing and not restoring system settings.

I tried rebooting, recovery etc. but nothing worked. than I flashed it again with AXURA2.2.7 ROM & both my problem were got solved. but when I restored from Titanium backup again the same problem, so I again reseted it and not backuped anything at all, and till now no problem. once the same error occured for Gallery, but after that all seems fine.
I'm running Axura as well but don't have that issue with Bluetooth. An issue I have is when I disconnect the headset I notice that the device is essentially muted (has no external sound) until I reboot. This is doesn't happen on any 2.1 rom. I'm inclined towards thinking neither are the fault of Axura.
I then discovered that if I use the free / downloadable headset toggle widget, I can get my sound back without a reboot. I figure it's just a bug in all these leaked roms which Axura, etc are based off of. I don't why it's happening or have a better way of dealing with it. However, I think it's common to all 2.2 Froyo roms. Anyone else agree / disagree?
Does anyone have the problem with the latest ICS passion rom that your ringtones dont save when you reboot? I have to set them each time I reboot my phone.
Anyone know of this or how to fix it?
Thanks so much,
Rob
I am unable to replicate your problem. I've set my settings under "Sound/ ringtone & Notifications" and reboot and they still have the same settings and ringtones.
Otherwise the only way that I believe your settings change is if you recently upgraded or that you have a bad flash. Maybe reflashing will fix this.

I'm going to assume you are using a custom ringtone. It seems to be a cm9 thing. ICS Passion is based on cm9. there are other settings that don't stick too like adb debugging etc.
No problems here. I had to reset them after flashing the new kernel, but that was about it.
I can choose my Ringtone but the settings are note saved
Same for me I`m on 1.3 ICSNexusHD2-4.0.3
I can choose my Ringtone but the settings are note saved.
only the standardringtone I choose (f.e. my own ringtone) is saved
I mark an original ringtone and tap ok, after reopen the settings the ton wasn`t saved !
Any helpfull solutions ??

I found that gg.jpg picture of Alessandra Ambrosio inside the Leedroid APK under res/drawable-hdps. I tried to replace it with a black 540x960 "gg.jpg" file but then I couldn't figure out how to reinstall Leedroid with the resulting APK. I had also tried updating Leedroid Tweaks but none of the versions I downloaded seemed to install successfully. Is the latest build of Eternity 3.0 running the latest version of Leedroid Tweaks? Is there a flashable or installable Leedroid Tweaks with a black background instead in case someone wants that as an option?
I also had a problem with Leedroid Tweaks in r193 where when I tried to change the overscroll color, the phone would crash and bootloop and I had to start all over again. Is that fixed in r218?
What's the deal with alternative kernels for r218? People are talking about chad's kernel having better battery life and being faster. Is it included in r218 or do I need to download and flash it separately? Is "InfectedROM_Eternity-SynergyforCHAD-b1.zip" the same as r218 except with chad's kernel and the Eternity blue theme? I'd like the "stock" theme rather than the blue theme. If I need to flash chad's kernel separately, from where can I download it? Is it already overclocked? Or is the overclocking something you have to do with "System Panel" or "SetCPU"?
So I was able to open up the zip file for the latest Eternity 3.0 ROM and I extracted "system/app/TweaksCDMA.apk" to my desktop and then I opened that file with IZArc, removed res/drawable-hdpi/gg.jpg, and then saved the file. Then I opened the apk again and put a new black gg.jpg file in res/drawable-hdpi and then saved it again. Then I deleted "system/app/TweaksCDMA.apk" from the Eternity ROM zip and replaced it with my modified version. After flashing the updated ROM file I have found that Leedroid Tweaks no longer has the image of Alessandra Ambrosio as the background so it's SFW
As an aside, I'm still unable to change the overscroll color with Leedroid Tweaks without having to wipe/reflash the ROM. For some reason that setting with this version of Leedroid Tweaks makes the phone immediately bootloop. Lesson learned. Stay away until someone updates Leedroid in this ROM. This is still true as of the r218 of Eternity.
If anyone knows a solution, please let me know.
Thanks.
I'm getting frustrated with Virus's latest Eternity 3.0 ROM: "InfectedROM_Eternity-SynergyforCHAD-b1.zip"
First issue:
WiFi is often disconnecting and failing to reconnect. I try switching Airplane mode on and off and WiFi off and on and rebooting. Eventually it will reconnect but it's definitely not connecting as reliably as it did with r193.
Second issue:
Titanium Backup Pro 4.8.4 keeps locking up during batch restores. I've been trying to get all my apps restored last night and all day today and I keep having to FC Titanium and start again. I have also had the phone crash and reboot during a TB batch restore several times today.
Third issue:
Even when I'm connected to WiFi (at home and at work), I'm getting a lot of network timeouts. For example, I open "Google Play" and get the spinner for a while and then get "Connection timed out" [Retry]
Fourth issue (already mentioned):
Changing the overscroll color in Leedroid Tweaks cause the phone to crash and bootloop.
Also, the phone definitely "seems" less responsive and more laggy than it did on r193.
I do really like the blue themeing, however.
I did all the wiping I could with TWRP before flashing this ROM. I could try starting over again. Any other suggestions?
Fifth issue:
Power+Home native screenshots produce 0 B (empty) jpg files in /sdcard/DCIM. This was also the case with r193.
I was able to download a different root screenshot app from "Play Store" and got that to work instead. Still, it's annoying that the native screenshot functionality is broken.
What Hboot are you running? Sounds like a kernal issue to me. :/

Hi,
ICS runs fine on my S2 (I´m on LPF right now, very stable ROM), but one thing annoys me a lot: ICS keeps changing my standard ringtone and notification by itself... it somehow seems to be connected to connecting the phone via USB in MTP or storage mode. Other users have the same problem so it´s not a phone issue, but rather ISC. Had the sam problem with a custom rom (Clean Blank Rom) so i guess it´s a core ICS problem. Tied anything, from putting the ringtones to the injternal SD or system/media and tried converting the ringtones from Mp3 to OGG ... still it changes occasionally.
Any hints on how to get to the base of this problem and solve it?
Thanks,
Kusie
P.S.: always do a full wipe before flashing a new ROM, so this is no cache issue

I was running on different ICS ROM version (all stock), but never had this issue.
ATM, I am on XWLPD and using mp3 files as standard ringtone and notification sound.
Maybe it is caused by a combination of different things, so that this issue does not affect all ICS users.

Most probably, yes... maybe it´s connected to a certain app that is causing this problem... yesterday evening I moved my current custom ringtones and notifications to /system/media/audio and deleted all other ringtones/notifications/alarms from the internal and external SD cards just to check. Did a reboot, changed the rintone and notification to my custom ones and charged the phone over night ... this morning I unplugged it from loader and checked my audio settings and:
ringtone: unknown ringtone (dammit!)
notification: Moonbeam (bummer! not my selected custom notification)
This is driving me crazy.
I´m thinking about going to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache - as this is recommended often in the custom Rom section AFTER installing a new rom to avoid troubles - only question is: will this result in any data or app loss?
EDIT: Ok I think I found the culprit: i seems my volume sceduler "Volume Ace" caused the change of ringtone and notify every time it switched to a different audio profile. Deinstalled it and all seems fine....
Greets,
Kusie
I have a strange problem regarding CM9. Currently am on hephappy's TinyStream flashed over TinyLight. Everything seems to be working well.
However, when I attempt a clean flash (wiped EVERYTHING) to TinyStream my problems begin. I can restore all my contacts with TB and set a default ringtone thru settings but can NEVER set ANY custom ringtone for my wife, son, and various friends that had custom ringtones set in previous ROMs (CM7 and some ICS as well). In fact, when trying to set the custom ringtone none of the options (including default) are highlighted/selected. When I do select a ringtone it never saves it. When said person calls I then get no ring-tone at all, and only know there is a call because the phone is vibrating. Attempting to reset the ringtone results in the same uselessness. I also experienced this with Arjen's Alpha 3last night. What could I be dong wrong?
I had no problem setting custom ringtones in any CN7 ROMs, Lupo's ICS build or TinyLight. My workaround has been to flash TinyStream over TinyLight. The custom ringtones I want are set fot various contacts BUT NOW THOSE CAN"T BE CHANGED EITHER. That;s OK for now but at some point I'll want to change them and, presently, I can't.
Any insight is appreciated,
M.
Have you tried using Ringo? Or any other ringtone selection application...I would attempt a clean wipe on everything
