Don't worry, it's meant to do that, its so the phone doesn't over charge and kill the battery. Mine does it as well and then a friend on G+ clarified this for me
But it can't be cause when I'm going to sleep I charge my phone andin the morning it have 80%.and still charging means that he was fully charged and than he did discharge so in the morning I don't had fully charged battery ... I have never heard it before I don't think it's normal.. cause it's never happened to me before it's started this week...can anyone else tell us why it's like that? Thanks

Let it get battery stats. Let it drain out utility virtually 100% flat, minimize your running apps and when it's got usable stats, it should work.
Your ROM maybe has an issue with the chargemon file permissions, they're system group settings and can only be updated by hard boot / factory reset if that's the case.
What's the permissions on your chargemon file?
relax!
x10 come with this feature (users don't get it properly), once hitting 100%, the os disconnects itself from the charger to protect the battery.
to charge your battery to the full potential, do this:
1. charge upto 100%
2. reboot into xrecovery, wipe battery status, revoot
3. pull out battery with the charger connected. you will see the battery at 88%.
4. repeat steps 1 to 3 for 4-5 times.
5. charge full upto 100%. unplug the charger. this will mafk the maximum margin in your battery stats file.
6. drain your battery till it switches off. don't use your device vigorously. use normally.
7. insert the charger till it powers on. let it charge upto 100% again. this will mark the battery's minimum margin.
you can copy the battery stats.bin file to a separate location. Why so? because whenever you install custom roms or wipe data, the battery stats get deleted too. thus removing your calibrated file. You can use the saved file to restore your battery stats.bin fir future use.
CheersS!

It is normal
It a battery safety measure implemented by Sony Ericsson do the battery does not get damaged.
However, it shouldn't go down to 80%, maybe contact your ROM developer and ask about this or looks at your chargemon file to see if its correct

Hi all. This is my situation:
I accedently erased the battery stats when it was about 85% and now I can't charge more than 85%.
Any help will be appreciated.

That's weird I've never heard about that before
You can use the battery calibration app.
OR just charge the phone normally a few times.
Read the guide in my SIG follow from step 7
Thanx for your FAAAAST response.
I will try your solutions later cuz I am away from the PC now. Hope it works.

Recently I bought a new backup battery for my ray.
I try to charge the new battery and after this I install my original battery again.
But after this, I go to *#*#SERVICE#*#* and see that the actual batt(uAh) just is very low.
Then I downloaded the "battery calibration" app to see if it can help me.
Now is the problem, after I "calibrate" my battery, my phone's battery goes very fast, and final 1% of my battery last about 3hours!
so I think that the reading of my phone is not correct, what can I really do?

that WILL help... and this one too :
or if U don't have recovery : just recharge to 100% and then play games (to make ur battery percent become 1% ) so ur phone would go off and then recharge while the phone is off (to 100%):good::good::good::good:
All this chat about "battery calibration" and "wiping battery stats" is bull****, it won't help you. And to previous poster - that won't help on our devices.

This wont do anything.
That app just deletes the battery stats bin file which has nothing to do with imoroving battery life. It was a myth that was debunked by a google engineer.
Basically that file is just auto generated everytime you unplug you phone.
Also battery calibration by draining and recharging is placebo because li-ion/li-po batteries do not suffer from a memory effect.
You should download betterbattstats and find out what is killing your battery. It could be a wakelock keeping phone awake instead of sleeping.
Could also be the battery itself.
Too hard to telk without more info

all you need to do is to recalibrate your battery.
I have read that the battery calibration doesn't work and also I have tried it with no effect.....
So what's your opinion on that??????
Request to mods if not suitable topic to be discussed plz close the thread..... Thanks
My understanding is, that battery calibrators delete battery stats files. This will happen anyway when you charge your phone. So there is no need to calibrate the battery, it does automatocally once you fully charge your phone.

If you have battery problems, charge to 100%, drain it untill it shuts the phone down and then charge it to 100% turned off if possible. I do this whenever I change ROM.
it's not healthy to do this often! Once a month is okay.
clearing battery stats won't do much help
I have been having issues with my battery for a long time...at first I thought a virus might be draining all the battery...but when I scanned my files with a AV nothing was found...A few days later I noticed that my screen would blink with the LED and illumination bar every time a notification would display due to an app...so I simply uninstalled the app and voila back to normal.
