Chances are you flashed the wrong fastboot files. Double check them and reflash.

thats what i did yesterday and did it again today, anyone knows how to fix this? or whats the root cause?
usually it is the baseband, just need to update amss.mbn (baseband file).
Its a common problem. When u factory reset on the first screen, make sure you are currently on v. 1.5.1...then go back to 1.6.1...worked for me. Lemme know if this works.

How did you solve it. I have the same problem.
You probably need froyo performance fix, I was having same problem but it got resolved once I applied the fix

I cleared the cache/log on my internal sd card using root explorer. If you would finish the back up there is an indicator saying no more space or something on cache/log

Update:
Manage to install clockwork recovery after several tries, I don't know why. I have done it before with success from first try.
Cleared cache and seemed to work but at the end I had an error "cannot mount /datadata/ etc... Cannot find E:\misc.
???

I recommend that you try Streakmod Recovery, it's been modified to work with the Streak better. XDA Thread here.
Now I can not make a back up of my 322/341 2.2.2 breeed, sticking at backing up firstboot again even if I cleared the cached again, anyone does have any idea on how to fix this problem? I am using StreakMod recovery since I got my Streak.
Hi all, just wanted to throw in my 2 cents, I was stuck on the nandroid backup "backing up firstboot" part. I cleared out more space on my SD card incase it was that & it worked! I don't think I did anything else in between so this must have been my solution!
Goodluck to anyone who's stuck!
froyo performance fix works can do back up after back up
Performance fix only works on certain roms, 305, 309, 318 but it dies not work on others ki kev 340, 341, 345

Streakdroid 1.9 crashing

I have installed streakdroid 1.9 to my streak and it is crashing to the boot when dj steve blinking under streakdroid logo. Any idea ? What may i have done wrong during the flashing ?

Can you give more information please? Does it crash at boot without actually going into the lock screen? Does it go into an endless loop?

Hold the volume up & volume down buttons while powering up, select factory reset from menu options. This typically sorts most issues.
Using the method mentioned above, wipe (using the default recovery) and reinstall the rom by selecting the pkg from the recovery. It should now work fine.
The wipe options on the streakmod/clockwork recovery do not work

[Q] Installed Cyanogen CM7 - Boot loop - Please help, desperate.

My x10 is stuck in a boot loop after I flashed the ROM.
How do i stop this from happening? I really like the look of the ROM over my current one.
Please help.
EDIT: Managed to get freex10 ROM running. So I have a useable phone now.
flash baseband which is included in the package and you should be fine
what bb are you using?

Same Issue I think
I think I am having the same issue but when my x10 boots it goes to unlock screen and then I have this loop with "The application ADW.Launcher(process.android.acore) has stopped unexpectedly. The device then flashes the Cynogen loading screen and goes back to the unlock screen where I get the same message and the same loop. My xrecovery doesnt work and I cant seem to get the phone to use the SE update manager because it also says its up to date and doesnt provide a repair option. Can anyone help with this? I dont care which android os I go to at this point as long as it will work.
You probably need to use flashtool to flash the .52 baseband fix. Unless you have .52 already.
If that doesnt work, try flashing 2.1 totally over again with flashtool.

Can someone link me a guide as to how to flash the ROM with flash tool?
I flashed the baseband with it but I used xrecovery for the ROM itself because I could not work out how to use the flash tool.
I'll try reflashing the baseband when I get home tonight.

To get out of the bootloop just flash back to 2.1 and start over again. And make sure to follow the instalation instructions given by the dev when flashing the rom.
I still can't work it out.
The ROM is in a .zip file and the flash tool doesent seem to be picking it
up and when I unzip it there are no selectable files.

The file you use in flashtool is an .ftf file
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
Then what do I do with a .zip?
yes, you DO flash the .zip file with xrecovery. step one, flash bb with flashtool, step two, start phone in xrecovery and flash .zip, reboot, and it should work.

first try SEUS that comes on your ROM( left click SE icon in 'my computer' install) if that one doesn't work, uninstall and install SEUS from SE site, but one of them will say 'repair'

Yeah, that's what I did the first time.
I just tried it again. Same problem.
Phone turns on, boots, sits on home screen for a few seconds then restarts.
Why would this happen?
EDIT: I managed to check the baseband version int he few seconds the phone was on, it says it is unknown. Would this cause this problem?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
The ftf files you need are on the second post. Just put the ftf file in the firmware section of the flashtool then flash it and follow the on screen instructions.
With baseband unknown go to the app on your phone called dev tools then go to bad behaviour and crash system sever when the phone reboots you should have signal and baseband will no longer be unkown.
I tried that, It keeps telling me I have my old Cyanogen mod for 2.2 installed when I do it.
In the process of running SEUS, hopefully it puts me back to 2.1

Could that stop the rebooting?

No, i dont think that is the cause of the rebooting cause ii get that a lot but the phone never reboots on me, what kernel are you on. Cause a lot of the custom kernels reboot when the screen is off or when you have the cpu up too high.

Having wifi + BT problems, 354 on 1.9.1

I'm not surewhat to do about fixing this, I know it's a baseband issue, but the fix that worked last time hasn't worked today...
Currently I have a 354 baseband flashed onto streakdroid 1.9.1 flashed over a 354 recovery image.
When I first flashed 1.9.1 the 345 bb I used didn't work, so I flashed the 354 and it worked fine, then I eventually had instabilities that ended up in a perpetual bootloop, which led me to the actions above.
Any ideas?

I know this may sound like a lot but I promise you it's worth the trouble...
Flash stock recovery for 354 of that's the one you like. Download and flash the 354 update.pkg and flash.
Do a factory reset and let it boot up.
Now flash Streakmod and boot into Streqkmod (I assume you know not to let the stock ROM boot up so it wont overwrite Streakmod)
Flash 1.9.1 again, do another factory reset and then give it time to reboot and any woes you have had should now disappear
Sagely advice and I'll try it, also, the latest streakmod boots into streakmod recovery automatically now
