Does the ThunderBolt by chance require you to manage delegations? Like is it secondary calendars that aren't showing up? I know on my HTC Incredible that all of my other calendars on Google cal are automatically selected, but possibly they disabled that for the ThunderBolt? Should be able to go into the calendar on the phone and hit menu to get to calendar settings and see if that's the trouble?

Thanks for the info but I have made sure that all calendars were checked. I guess I am the only one seeing this problem so it must be on my end somewhere.
Is anyone else having this problem. this is very very important to me. it synced and then disappeared.
Mine is syncing. I sync my outlook work calendar to Google which syncs with phone. I had same setup on my evo 4g. I did not change anything in this setup.
Edit: I have accepted all otas

I wish the HTC email widget synced in real time like gmail does...there's a slight delay in that my gmail account gets it first and then the htc widget has to wait 5 mins...is there a way to sync the htc email as email comes in?
Mine syncs fine. No OTA.

I had issues with my gmail account syncing, then I realized that, somehow, I had not checked the box to sync gmail.
Check and make sure it's not something in your settings
I have multiple gmail calendars that all synced fine previously on my EVO 4g. Now, in the calendar app I only see the primary google calendar, not all the rest of my google calendars. The old HTC album allowed you to select which calendars, and add calendars to the list that are not actively being shown. after scratching around for 15min, I could find no such option to add the rest of my google calendars. I know they are visible, other programs acknoledge their presence. I have not done the OTA, but I may be doing it to see if it fixes this problem.
anyone that HAS done the OTA have difficulty with seeing multiple google calendars in HTC calendar app? anyone without the OTA have the same issue?
EDIT: did the OTA, still only see my primary google calendar, not all the other ones. anyone seeing more than one google calendar in the calendar app and know how to resolve? TIA.
did ota and made sure it was checked and still nothing. same problem as guy above me. anyone know of any fixes for this?
Had the same problem with my Fascinate, but found a fix. BEFORE you activate the device, any calendars you wish to sync MUST be viewable in the web version (i.e. load google cal, and click on each calendar you want access to on your roid so that that are all viewed at once). After this, go ahead and do the initial device setup. If you have calendars you want access to but dont want to view all the time, you can turn them off within your roids cal app.
new calendars that you add/create after initial setup seem to pull fine though. unfortunately, there does not appear to be a way to fix this AFTER your main gmail account is already added to the device. The only way to fix it at that point is to factory reset. Worked for me, hope it helps!
I've upgraded from my Touch Pro 2 to Evo 3D. Store cloned contacts via some wierd google/gmail thingy and it pulled in ALL my contacts from gmail which is not what I wanted. How do I copy just the old contacts from TP2 to the evo 3D and not go through this gmail/google thing? Even tried checking the box that said only display contacts with phone #s but that didn't help. Step by step instructions in clearing out what I have and how to clone would be appreciated.
Also, I loved having the alphabet on the side of TP2 so I could hit "s" and it would go to all the contacts that had "s" in it. Evo 3D just displays it in a long list which is anoying to have to scroll through. Any suggestions?
Lastly, he said that "contacts" is now "people". Not sure I understand the difference? TP2 had both but never used "people".
I just use GMail to keep all my stuff in sync.
So I start using htc mail app whic display full html email, and is great the only problem that I have is the it doesn't mark my emails as read in my hotmail (live) account, does anyone have a fix for this? I noticed this till now cause i went on vacation and my iPhone (work phone) - didn't take it with me, thanks for the help
If you don't have an Evo3d well you don't have an Evo3d
When setting up my school email in ICS, it always returns outgoing mail settings are incorrect. I know they are correct and I want it to save the account anyway and I could in previous versions of android and it would work perfectly. In ICS, is there any way to make the ICS email app force save the email account settings?
Thanks
Check the outgoing port number, I think it sets it for IMAP 589 instead of POP 25 or some have a look on Google and check what port numbers you need to use.
