Did you wipe data/partition?
Check your current SD card.
Reflash.

hi
noob alert ! noob alert!
i am trying to flash ICSStock V2 by Rushabh25 and my ace wont have none of it
my current setup is
stock rom GT-S5830_VIR_S5830XWKS3_S5830XWKS2_S5830VIRKP1
CF-Root-S5830-v3.7-b84 kernel
CF-Root-S5830_dtapps2sd-v1.2 (and gui)
ext 4 manager .apk
cwm installed with cf-root
but have also tried with recovery-clockwork-5[1].0.2.6-galaxyace-fix
still no joy
what i get is
flashes rom no problem but then hangs on galaxy ace screen with a small blue triangle in top left corner then after 10mins or longer loops back to galaxy ace screen continually, so re downloaded as thought might be a dodgy download then that one loops on the samsung screen with a green triangle in top left corner
i have no problems flashing cyanogen roms or jusadas speedblur or ics roms even directly from this bad flash
cant see what i am doing wrong any help would be appreciated
thanks

now my head hurts gettin too old for this lol
any help greatly appreciated

thanks
problem now solved somehow transfering roms over usb lead was corrupting them wasnt affecting other files thats why i didnt pick it up.
is this a problem with cf 84b kernels or is it something else
When i bought the player which is the 4.0 us player i rooted it and put steves kernel on it thats it. Today my wife said it was bootlooping so i looked at it and sure enough it is. Checked the memory and there is nothing on it. So i download a new rom put it on and wipe then install and it is still bootlooping the original logo even though the new rom has a different boot screen.

Yes people were experiencing bootloops with steve's 3.0. Try installing the klin's R3 custom kernel or Dark_balor's terra silent.
When i installed the kernel it was back in December and it has been working just fine untill today. Still think it is kernel?
You didn't make a cwm nandroid backup, did you? Because that is what bootlooped mine using Steve's. All I did to solve it is: flashed my own backup, that turned out to be no good, and ended in a full brick (epic facepalm, I know!). Then I flashed kwipper's recovery rom found in the development. After a data/cache wipe, it worked fine. Hope you figure it out!

That depends of the kernel's version. Also has your wife do something wrong?
ok just flashed new kernel then tried 2 different roms with no luck it flashed the kernel fine but the roms will not flash and when i check the mem card it is empty other than my rom zips and .androidsecure which is an empty folder.

Well you can always use the full recovery method to get back to normal (note that you will lose all your data. Not on the sdcard though but all of your settings and apps.)
well iv already wiped so everything is gone anyway im not sure how you do the full recovery? I have no nand so if that is what your talking about that is out of the question. Found fixing bootloop which has recovery file so im gonna try that.

It seems that you already have an android device before however samsung devices are different from other android devices (or maybe you did have a samsung device too.). They use odin/heimdall flashing with .tar/.img/.rfs files. The recovery method I talk about is at that link:

ROM? Kernel?
Have you tried flashing another ROM + Kernel? Do a full wipe, format /system and format /emmc (internal storage) and then re-flashing a ROM + Kernel.
thanx for ur suport guys but i havent rooted my phone yet and ive upgraded it to ics and ive been facing another problem my phone batery consumption have been increased to like 1%in 10 minutes.. kindly tell me what to do restoring the previous android version would help???? and tell me if ics root is available ????
I was very happy with my CM9, than I realize that I never used te stock rom, thinking about the upgrade to GSIII I wanted to test the stock. Grab the files of original brazilian rom of SGII ICS unbranded and odin...
every thing was almost normal, but I wanted to go back to the cm9, used the rom manager and.. my phone was stucked in boot animation. Used odin again to reflash the stock rom, stucked in S animation.
What do I do?? Remembering that I open the custom recovery and was unable to wipe data/factory reset - the phone freezes and reboots
Please, I need to fix my phone!
Hi mate have you not tried flashing CM9 with Odin for a clean install rather than using recovery ?
Instructions here

Have you undervolted your device? If you have, return them to the stock values.
Or
Try a different kernel. Like dark knight v1.9.1

Try to go back to Stock with a pit and repartition.
Then flash a custom Kernel and then try CM9 again...
If it stucks somewhere in Recovery/Installation or in Bootloop go in Recovery again and install CM9 again!
Okay first of all, my phone was working fine but suddenly i had to use the GSII_repair app from the market
since my phone cannot suddenly detect any simcards. I used the 1-2 steps in the app since it said i had to reboot.
Then after that It went to a bootloop, tried flashing stock ICS rom it works but the phone suddenly turns off everytime before the S logo finishes its animation! what could be the problem?
may be soft brick

1.Flash stock kernel, put in PDA block of Odin.
2.After that Flash all 4, bootloader,PDA,Phone & CSC same time.
Get a 4-file firmware. (PHONE, PDA, APBOOT, CSC)
Make sure you're not using a 4.0.4 leak - use a 4.0.3 official firmware.
If this doesn't work, flash a custom kernel and wipe /data.
If it still doesn't work, flash a custom ROM (CM9, CM10, AOKP). Once you've got that up and running, return to TouchWiz if you wish.

Can you get into cwm recovery ?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Yes and im talking about the first boot screen.
The one where we see the Galaxy s2 logo.
Not the S Animation.
I'm stuck, tried PITT,departitioning , kernel, pda ,csc .
Could the GSII_repair kit messed up something much more?
Got into the S animation on ICS stock but phone shuts down even before the S animation has finished appearing.
And I had to have the usb plugged into the phone just so i can power it on.
