is there any way to obtain the default WM6.5 lock screen on my phone without having to hard reset?
something happened...i was having drake arts android lock and S2U2 lock too..i have uninstalled S2U2 later..
Anyway my default wm65 lock is missing...
instead of the normal lock screen where the slider is in the middle on the top and the time shows at the bottom, its like the lock screen for WM6.1
I just wanted my default screen lock..

Else would you mind sending me a copy of your lockscreen files? It would not only be the files from the LockScreen folder in \Windows\LockScreen but also all the files (CPR and PNG images) entitled LS_LockScene for the CPR files and LS_LockSlider for the images that are in \Windows\. If you have the time and don't mind helping me out, that would be much appreciated! I would just like to try this to avoid having to do a hard reset. Thanks Again!!

I am not sure if I am too dump or if it really does not work also the saerch function in the forum did not give any threads for that.
I want to change the items on the today screen. But I get only a small choice of the actual installed programs.
So how can I put program icons or shortcuts on the screen (not on the pull down menu under start.)
I flashed the dopod WM6 HK english on it.

Only thing i can think of is HTC Home Plugin, which has a laucher tab (9 spots). Try it out.
To customise the HTC ActionScreen you can change the total number of icons, the size and shape of icons, their position, the image, and what is launched by pressing the icon.
All reg settings are contained within [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\ActionScreen]
Each Application reg file is numbered sequentially starting with App_0 going up to the total number of icons -1 (for 8 icons, App_0 to App_7).
Each icon can be shifted to where it is wanted by changing the xPos and yPos dwords, the top left of the screen is xPos 0 yPos 0, with yPos being the vertical distance, and xPos being the horizontal distance from the top right of the screen in pixels. This must be a positive value. The image files can be located anywhere, including the storage card.
Any image can be used, so long as it is converted into a *.brn, and matches the dimensions of the reg file.
The "name" registry entry is the text that appears to the right of the image, as of yet I know no way of changing its position other than moving the entire icon.
This works on other devices with the HTC ActionScreen.

Still the same as you used to with WM5, no change in that. You can disable HTCHome in Today Settings pane. Don't forget to restart (soft reset).

I'm using one of Dutty's roms and I'm wondering what registry change would need to be made to make the ActionScreen button go away, and be replaced by Calendar.
I like the old way of doing things.

You may have a shortcut to "SoftKeys" under the System tab of the Settings. If not, look at this: http://www.dotfred.net/SoftkeyAppletEx.htm

i think it's possible creating a transparent 280*340 image in Photoshop and pass it to your SD. Then select it as LockScreen, but it's all thoughts..

So I flashed KWBR_HD2_2.0 on my tmous htc hd2 and everything seems to be running smoothly except one thing I noticed is that there is absolutely no weather animation effects on the home screen tab! I really liked the lightning and the rain/windshield wipers going off during changing weather...
I've got CHT installed... and I have the weather toggle switch in my quicklinks but it is always off - when I press it, nothing happens, it doesn't switch to the ON position.
I've tried searching the forum but all I come up with is people having trouble getting the weather to update my location - that's not the issue here.
Does anyone know of any registry key that you need to change or cab file to install to get the weather animation running on the home tab (ie to see the clouds drifting, the rain pouring, the snow falling, etc etc.)?
Any help is appreciated!

If you navigate to HKCU\Software\HTC\Manilla and change the value of Home.WallpaperMode to 0 and then restart, it should work.

i have the exact same problem but im running android mattcfroto 1.5 with chukydroid rom . no animation and cant put location on the home screen. i cant get accest to registry on android. i already make a post on andriod section but no answers yet. any help here?
problem solved. its in the clocks menu.

Have you by any chance installed CHT??
Sometimes the weather animation is set to off by default.
If you have it installed add a weather toggle to a quicklink and try turning it on/off and restart sense......
