[Q] Fastest way to drain the battery in APX mode? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When the pad is in APX mode and the only way to revive it is a complete battery drain - what is the fastest way to drain it? Are there any suggestions besides duct taping the power switch? Does removing and reinserting the battery have the same effect? Thank you very much!

[Q] Reset or refresh battery statistics

Can someone please tell me how I do this on a rooted 2.1? It's driving me mad trying to google it and I need to reset the battery stats to improve the battery life.
install xrecovery (dev thread) goto "advanced" > "wipe battery stats".
Edit: i just used this myself, but how would this "improve" the lifecycle of a battery?
Do SE battery's have a chip on them that counts the used hours/days, or is it just the android fw that keeps track?
(I have 2 fake battery's also (ebay), so i never run out of juice in case of the chip.. i bet these fake's dont have a chip.. kinda like fake PSP batterys (special pandora's excluded))
it won't improve the battery life.
however, you can maintain your battery life and align the battery stats to actual battery level by draining it until the phone cannot power back on. plug it in, wipe stats, power off, let it charge fully, then leave it on the charger for about an hour afterwards before powering it back on.

Hi,
Quick question, do you use any kind of program which may be draining your battery?
Are you using push mail or something similar?
Have you tried hardreset your phone and test the battery life without any app installed?

Phone is going into seizure mode?

Battery pull, put battery in, phone alternates with full battery icon and this (see attached picture)
Boot phone and it keeps going into Kies mode.
Tried flashing stock kernel / rom but problems persist. Anyone have this issue? Any ideas of the cause?
Maybe try a factory reset that may work?
Well that's the sign for the battery is overheating?

Battery seems fine, not even warm, holding a charge just fine...
Leave the battery out of the phone for 30 minutes and try again. I am assuming that the phone is not plugged into the charger?

[Q] Enabling power save mode at a certain battery %?

Hi there guys,
I was just wondering if it's possible to enable the GS3 to switch over to power saving mode hits a certain battery percentage. If I'm not mistaken my sister's GS2 has this option in her settings.
Would really be a bit of a life saver for me as I don't seem to be getting the best battery performance on the phone (needs a daily recharge under light-moderate use).

[Q] Acer Liquid Z500 battery issue.

Hey everyone. I'm having an issue with the battery stats of my Acer Liquid Z500.
When I charge my phone, sometimes the battery stat freezes at some point, 35%, 28%, 45% for example, for some time. When the phone feels like it's discharging, the battery stats come down really fast, like 1% per 15 seconds, until it's off.
I've tried booting into recovery mode and checking if there's any option to wipe battery stats, but there's not.
I've tried factory resetting the phone but it doesn't work.
I was wondering if you guys could enlighten me about this issue. It's getting really annoying.

Had the same problem once on a different phone. What I did to solve this was quite simple: after battery percentage has frozen, I shut off my phone completely, so it can charge without interference. So just wait until the phone has charged completely. Another option would be to perform a simple reboot after the freeze.
If this doesn't work, maybe you have to re-adjust your battery by charging it to 100% and then let it discharge to 0% and then do a full charge afterwards.
