Updated to work on Nero V1!
Ok, so I don't know about you guys but I'm not a huge fan of how the Nero ROM emulates Gingerbread. I tried flashing Eugene's Ginger clone ROM, and while it's nice it is just missing some of the features I like. So I've made the best of both worlds. I kanged the framework images from Ginger Clone and put them into the framework for Nero. I also changed the toggle switches to be a bit more subtle and I think cleaner. Here's the .zip. you can just flash from CWM
Make sure to click the "Thanks" button if you like the theme!
Thanks this is great

Tried flashing this as it looks pretty good, but I get
"E:Syntax error in update script
Installation aborted."

Same here.
Edit: seems to be a problem with recovery and Nero. I can't flash anything at the moment.
if the update fails, you can manually push the framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk into /system/framework/ after unzipping the theme. I'll take a look and see if I messed something up in the script
Aren't the pictures included from Nero and not from Clone?
Maybe you got the description backwards or something like that!!!

the screenshots are from nero, but what I'm talking about are the theme elements. The way that nero is themed has a green bar underneath of the status settings toggles. Also, the background and pulldown bar are themed and don't look how they do in stock gingerbread. I took the images in the clone framework and transferred them into the Nero framework in order to achieve a more accurate representation of Gingerbread than you normally get with Nero. Am I making sense now?
I do now!
Apologize...

is it possible to change the wifi status icon and the 3g icons in the status bar to stock gingerbread as well??
Any chance that this would work with Onyx 4.2 ULF? I'm willing to test it if there's the possibility of it working.
I really love it. It feels more TeamWhiskey than the stock release. You should see if you could do some themeing for them because this rocks.
Thanks a lot amazing theme!

Hey everyone, I updated the theme for the new release of Nero, V1! Download it now if you wanna get your vibrant looking all spiffy and cool!
Does this include changing the google search widget back to the solid white? Only I have found in Nero v1 im not really a fan of.
no, the search widget still has the transparent look how it is in Nero. I really like the look of it, so I didn't change it
Hopeful, but uh...
Don't beat me up here, but I am running ASOPish 1.1 and have been searching for Gingerbread theme. Clearly I have read that this was made for Nero. Still I'm beckoned to ask, hopefully *fingers crossed* will it work for me?
Well as of now, this is only replacing the file that controls the pull-down menu because Nero already has the right look for the system buttons and whatnot. I can throw together a version that MIGHT work with AOSPish though, if you want to try it out

I would definitely be interested; if I knew how to put it together, I would love to myself.
I'll keep checking in, and thanks for the reply.
Do any of you know of good CM7 themes (besides HoneyBread, which I already have installed) which have the right screen size assets for the NC? All the ones on the market are for lower density screens and look like crap on the NC.
gingerblurr is what i use and its sexy, i dont know if its just me but i have to reboot after applyin a theme in the theme manager to be able to fully see all items

My two favorites are:
Minimal Magic
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.upwardspiral.Min_Magic
Lucid
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sonny.theme.lucid
They both look really great on the nook. Lucid is a paid theme, but well worth it imo.

You always have to reboot after applying a new theme. Most apk's in the market mention that in the description section.

They will all work. Some may have blurry icons and such but each one will work on the nook color. I am rocking the "Steel Blue" Theme and I am loving it.

This is a known issue with the theme changer. You can download an app in the market, "Notification Restart", that will allow you to restart the notification bar and reset the power widget. This saves you a reboot.
Edit: Forgot you can download the apk directly from the previously linked theme chooser post too.

Did someone port my Steel Blue theme to the Nook or is there another?

I've been having an issue lately with applying themes (phiremod 6.2). I've tried a bunch, and they're all sexy... but anytime I apply a theme I find that the sizing for the softkeys in notification bar is off. It resizes the bar fine, but when I go to touch the "button" I have to hit really high on the area its in in order to get a response. If I push right over it, there's no action/response.
I've tried rebooting after applying, no luck. Screen calibration can't be off because everything else touch related works fine. Any ideas? Anythinig I can tweak in the theme to have it stretch/function properly?
Using and loving "Purple Punch" myself.

Blue Bionic is cool on the Nook. It has the Honeycomb styled soft TabletTweeks buttons, that are specific to the Nook w/CM7 but in a brighter blue so they contrast nicely for visibility.
for those of you who dont wanna reboot your device after applying a theme from theme chooser then get notification restart from the android market it restarts your status bar so the new changes will take effect without rebooting your device and for the icons to change just restart your launcher

It doesn't.
OP, there's a ~1 pixel tall border that's lighter in color that you can see whenever the screen displays something dark (like the screen where you can select widgets, shortcuts, wallpaper...), can that border be changed to black also? Or did Honeycomb 3.1 have that also?

Stock had a similar look to it, with the gray border if you want me to make you one with all black let me know. Just send me a pm I have the stock look done atm but i don't like how the screen shot icon looks. I should have a stock look up in a few hours.
Works well with my bonsai rom, thanks a lot

OP, the issue with a gray background behind icons extends to icons other than debugging. Right now, my notification bar icons for CopyPasteIt (clipboard icon) and Google Music Beta (headphones icon) both have gray backgrounds on the black bar.
Isn't there a way to make any and all icons show black backgrounds?? There's no way you can keep up with every single icon and keep editing to fix the issue..there are unlimited icons that may show up there for apps..
Is it possible to eliminate this issue for all icons?
The icon pack is about half done I am at work right now so Ill do more when i get home, but should be done soon.
thanks for this significant work. the original grey bar really is annoying.

use jkay settings...and man if you want crt effect and all the transparent drop down menus go and check either villain rom or androidmeda...start from stock base and then you have different choices of scripts that get rid of the bloatware and have many tweaks in them.....
if you like black and blue themes or even aosp try the one from batista...for me i always suggest first timers to go there...that is the best rom that has everything you need..your choice though buddy
Try Batistas' Foxhound edition 2.1 with Abyss 2.0 kernel.. Its actually one of the smoothes 2.3.5 roms i have ever tried ^^.. Believe you me, I've tried almost all of them ;]
diggin this villain rom with jkay settings, phone should hold me off till theres a nexus prime with att bands , btw
does anyone know how to filter the call log so that there arent any text messages, also does someone have the stock google 3d gallery for this rom?
I want to change the default green to the stock blue color because it doesn't put me in a good mood and the black background for messaging makes it seem like I'm in a DOS or IRC chat. It's the reason I wanted to keep using ICS Passion, but the clock freezes randomly for me so I chose ICZen instead. I found a stock blue theme made for ICZen v1.7, but newest is ICZen v1.85.
Is it safe to flash that stock blue v1.7 theme?
Is there another way to change colors rather than Galaxy S Settings>Color Tuning? The color tuning doesn't seem to give it a normal color change.
u cant flash different themes for different rom version ........i did once and ended in bootloop .....if u want blue then install this from playstore and apply in theme chooser ....i used it its nice

that's what I'm saying those are inverted apps which won't change colour when u use theme ...........why can't u install 1.8.4 and for this version u have a ics blue theme which u can flash ............ rootzwiki.com/topic/28762-jelly-bean-theme-184-pink-or-blue-flavor-deficient-development/
Its says it's for 1.8.4 instead of 1.8.5, would that matter?
EDIT: Nvm, it does matter. I guess I'll stick with Theme Chooser and apk.
flash 1.8.4 iczen first after that flash theme .........if u flash that theme on 1.8.5 then it causes bootloop .....no much difference is there between 1.8.5 and 1.8.4

I've been meaning to compile a stock blue theme .apk for quite some time, but I always put it off due to school work, etc, etc.
However, in the meantime, I believe this theme should somewhat fix your blue cravings: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716919. It's free and compatible with ICZen.

I installed it and it seems to be missing some colors such as the phone icon, power control widget, bottom scroll bar, and corner outlines for the widget previews. I liked the stock camera icon with the purple lens and blue web browser icon and blue people icon, but I think I am asking for too much haha. I will just switch around some icons and remove some widgets for now. Anyway, I look forward to testing your theme out whenever you get to it. Thanks a lot.
