[REQ] Some type of volume booster - HTC Amaze 4G

I just bought my Amaze about a week ago. I have one large complaint... The headphone Jack volume level seems pretty low. The speaker on the amaze is great... Sounds much better than the sensation IMO... I've tried searches & apps and if anything the apps seem to reduce the volume level instead of raise it. I've tried 3 sets of headphones (skullcandy earbuds, skullcandy hesh, and studio beats by Dr dre) and volume is loud but not the ear splitting loud I'm looking for... So if someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks guys!

PowerAmp. Best Audio. And Senheiser headset w Mic.

Audio emprovement

Hi everybody,
I tried a couple of headphones but watching movies I would appreciate a way to boost audio volume. Is there a way to do it on my htc Flyer?
i used the stock one and is loud enough, more than that, i have to keep the volume at the 80% otherwise my ear explode. You mean your device isn't loud enough?
It could be the headphones have a high impedance and are difficult to drive with portable devices -- high-end Sennheiser 600 (300 ohms), for example.
Volume+ works very well on my Desire Z. I haven't tried it on the Flyer, the stock volume level seems fine to me. But Volume+ supposedly should work on any Gingerbread device.
I would increase the volume with caution. A little at a time, until your reach the desire volume level, as not to damage your headphones or your hearing.
Volume+ is a paid app on the Market, but free on the developer's website:
http://androidaudiohacks.com/home/volume-gingerbread
The Monster audio products increase bass performance. Some people (audiophiles) don't like the reproduction, but for in-ear headphones the effect works. The iBeats are semi affordable, but the inline iPhone controls and mic don't work... At least not with my Desire Z... Haven't tried with the Flyer.
Get equalizer from the market.it has many presets and you can save custom presets as well.seriously makes the difference for me.

Rezound's ibeats earphones blowing out over because too much bass?

Thanks to dsp manager, I up the the bass real high when headsets are plugged in and thanks to the ibeats being able to produce high amounts of bass, my music on the phone sounds amazing!
I was wondering if anyone's ibeats have blown out because the bass was set too high? If not, I may be the first to report this in the future lol, hope not.
I have heard them pop with some frequencies when the bass was up, but I have maxed them out and I don't think they will blow. Hey since the headphones came with the phone are they covered under the year warranty? Or do they have one from monster?
I have to make this quick. If you want more info send me a message.
The only thing that will blow any speaker is distortion which you will hear.
Never turn the volume up all the way. At this setting the sound will likely not be clean and clear but it has nothing to do with volume. Most audio sources will distort at full volume. If you want it louder use an app like PowerAmp and increase the preamp output instead.
If its still not loud enough get a headphone amp! I have one and the iBeats will go so loud it actually hurts my ears after a few minutes.

Don't quote me on this but I remember reading that they are covered.
Yes, they are covered. I was having problems with the control module on the headphones - the play'pause/talk button, specifically. I called Verizon and they told me I could take them to any official Verizon store - not the "authorized dealers, but an actual VZW location - and get them replaced.
The second pair works beautifully but I'm planning on selling them. I'm going to pick up a pair of the Beats Tour earbuds, which will also work with the phone.
And one last item of curiosity - I plugged in my Shure se110 headphones to my Rezound last week and, to my surprise, Beats Audio fired up. Pretty cool.

If you use the music player with any pair of headphones, the beats equalizer can/will be enabled on the phone
I have a Sony A2DP head in my truck... 300 watt amp, 12" sub, yada yada. Beats Audio DSP bumps, earbuds or no earbuds. And Pandora is thumping too.

Btw, I have the volume cranked to max on my Rezound and only control volume from my Sony head. ROCKS!

It doesn't even have to be headphones, I plug mine into iPod speakers, studio monitors.. as long as there's something in the headphone Jack.

3.5mm Jack Audio low?

I notice that the audio from my aux jack is significantly lower than my old evo or wife's iPhone. Is this normal or do I have a defect?
Audio IS lower
... but not horribly low.
Both the audio out of my 3.5mm jack and the audio out of the speaker are quite a bit lower than my og evo. It's not anything like a deal breaker though.
Wow and I thought it was going crazy for noticing this... I also noticed it when using a bluetooth headset. It's not A LOT lower, but it's definitely noticeable

It appears that this only happens in 3rd party music apps. Htc's music app sound fine.
There is a noticeable difference when I'm listening to music in the car. It's not so bad when I use headphones.
Music does sound better through BT in my Prius though. I might have to pick up the HTC BT adapter for my other car.
Bluetooth streaming seemed great volume on ford sync but aux cable for my other car is considerably lower than my evo 3D was. I do notice the beats by dre makes it sounds great. I might try installing equalizer and cranking that up will prob help but prob will have to shut the beats by dre off then.
I've always noticed that the HTC phones I've had don't have very loud volumes for headphones. I use earbuds, so it's not an issue for me. Beats does make it louder, but I don't think it necessarily improves the quality of the sound.
I recall reading an article on either Engadget or Ars about what Beats actually does.
I'm experiencing the same issue. Does anyone know of an app or other fix to boost the volume, more specifically for me the volume of the speaker, because it's a little quite when I'm using the Navigation app. I remember a long time ago when I was surfing around, the was a way to over clock the speakers on the EVO 4G but I never needed it or tried it. Let me know if anyone knows anything like this for EVO LTE?
I was also having very low sound compared to my OG EVO. I installed the free equalizer app and have it maxed out(up to 4 for free app) and it does boost the sound a bit. I think you need to have it running in the background all the time which is gonna suck for battery life. If not you have to enable the equalizer every time you want to listen to something which is a pain. Anyone know of an app that will automatically start when music app, GPS etc are turned on?

One thing I had on my G2x because the output was horrifically low, there's an app called volume booster, actually a couple and it's nice because it stays off until you plug in headphones or an aux cable.
I use my auxiliary port on my receiver in my car for audio and calls and have noticed that the sound from my music app (Spotify) is just a bit lower than on my 3D. There seems to be a much bigger difference in the volume for phone calls though. It seems much lower. When I get a call while I'm listening to music, I've got to turn the volume way up in order to really hear anything. When the call ends, I've got to remember to quickly turn down the volume or my music will come back on super loud. Pretty annoying.

make xperia s louder???

hi guys i find the xperia s volume low even at max when i listen to music on the headphones. i have installed many different apps such as volume+ to make it louder and have the dre beats file also installed but it still isnt loud enough for me. i have also flashed the AC!D files but i am still not satisfied. i love volume to be extremely loud on headphones to the point where your ears hurt a bit. so if there are any files you guys can recommend that i can flash or whatever to make the headphone volume super loud that would be awesome! thanks in advance
Loudspeaker on this particular device is apparently low than any other. Me myself faced the problem after i purchased it. U really cant do much with it coz apps/mods can only tweak the hardware to it's highest potential. If so, u might need to open it up and change the speaker. Now will u do that? .. Guess not. Btw, try using stock apps before u try any mod like AC!D or so and if can, do buy the sony smart headset. I bought one and its extremely loud with clear bass and sound. Music turns awesome in this pair of headset =)

You realize you only get one pair of ears and you'll have to spend the rest of your life with them? How about turning the volume a little less high but being able to enjoy it longer. I understand where you're coming from, I used to be 16 as well. But if you ever get permanent tinnitus, you'll curse yourself thinking about stuff like this.
But being the helpful guy I am: are you using proper headphones? With my headphones I can easily hurt my ears with the volume on maximum. Either you're using headphones with a low output or you've already damaged your ears. Don't use the stock headphones because those always are rubbish. I use Philips earplugs but in-ear earplugs might go louder. Good sound quality costs a bit. You can also use the stock equalizer to bump the audio volume a bit, just put all the sliders on top.
AC!D will work the opposite of what you want, it'll make the sound less loud but with higher quality. At least that's what I've read about it. Personally I think the Xperia S has the best sound of any smartphone/mp3 player/discman I've ever used without messing with mods, just the equalizer. The call volume on the ear speaker is too low though, not usable in loud environments. Putting the phone in just the right way above your ear helps, but I often have to move to a quieter spot.
Answer
open with root explorer system/build.prop and find phase not sure exactly but like this "ULP low power audio ........." and just after that down you will see that this option is set to =1 it means its enabled so set it for =0 and you will have some better/louder sound and even with AC!D and all when this stay ON it just block all other i find it on my Xperia U on ICS and i think that you have this in build too, heheh HIT THANKS IF I HELP YOU

Anyone Else With Headphone Buzz

I couldn't believe that I was the only one getting headphone buzz on my beats headphones so I went to the Verizon store and plugged into their floor model and low and behold I got it there too!
I get it real bad on my Beats studio headsets (one's with the battery) and in my car, both on the left. My Beats in ears are not as bad but can hear it sometimes.
Anyone else getting the annoying buzz?
Yep I am getting it with streaming music. I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen when listening to mp3 's.

Well, you've got Beats headphones and Beats in your phone. You've got too much Beats. Try reducing the amount of Beats by a factor of 1.
Source: I've got Sony headphones with Beats on my DNA. 1/2 the Beats of you = no buzz.

I have a regular pair of Sony ear buds and I have a lot of static or white noise. It increases 10 fold when I turn beats on. I hear it streaming and on storage music. Its awful. Dsp manager doesn't help either.

But I get it in my car as well (no Bluetooth, still using a headphone plug). I don't know what your referring to as turn Beats down? I've turned it off before to check and not even that helped, very annoying. I believe I read somewhere a while back that HTC added an amplifierto the headphone jack and speaker, wonder if that has anything to do with it...?
using the ibeats that came with the Rezound and there's no buzz at all.

I wouldn't say its buzz, its more like that "white" noise like when the sound stops on a record player. Its really at its worse when beats is on but I can still hear it with it off. This is with all headphones and the aux jack in my car.

I was just kidding around. Buzzing noises with audio tend to be a grounding issue. Not much help with a phone not meant to be taken apart. I would try to exchange it if it persists.
