When in LTE coverage is it possible to browse web pages while having an active phone call?

Yes, though not in 3G.

So i wanted to know if the "H" means more than the icon of 3G that sometimes appears up ^^^

Yes it does. The H+ icon u see indicates that you are g getting connected @ hspa+ speeds which are higher than plain 3g speeds.

Your connected to hsdpa, not hsdpa+. The regular vibrant cannot receive hsdpa+. Hsdpa is faster then 3g, but still slower then hsdpa+.

This is basically correct. The issue is 2 things:
1- having the icon that recognizes the Hsdpa connection and
2- The tower/tower software updated to send send the signal.
This is why in some areas you do not get the H but just 3G and E but as they update all towers this will be everywhere

Wifi?..
No go on wifi either.

It should work on wifi.

I just tried wifi again, and it does work on wifi. I must not have had a good wifi signal when I tried it before. Still doesn't work with data only though.

You'd need a phone like the thunderbolt to talk and surf without wifi
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
Seriously? CDMA phones, like the Fascinate, are not equipped to do data and voice simultaneously. You'd have to get a 4G phone.
Until more CDMA phones get the proper hardware/software that allow you to use 2 radio connections simultaneously or until 4G covers everything and Verizon starts using voice over LTE, this feature will not be vastly available.

Alternatively, you could hope that more phones use SVDO modems for CDMA, but since SVDO has been around for a while, and only the Thunderbolt has it afaik, that is probably useless as well.
Will I gain battery by disabling 4G on my phone? I'm in a 3G only area, and I'm not sure if its constantly polling for LTE. I'm using the logic of phones smoking a battery in a spotty coverage area. Thoughts?

So far I think there have only been positive reports for battery life for people who only have 3G coverage.
Some people on the 4G fringe needed to be able to turn 4G off because their phones were trying to pull the 4G signal, destroying their battery life. I am in a 4G area and don't notice any difference forcing 3G.
How can I turn off 4G

This is a serious questIon...I'm a truck driver and traveled all 48states with this phone and I have never seen 3g service...2g isn't fast enough on tmobile between cities to listen to Google radio unfortunately

go to mobile networks & select WCDMA preferred

I have T-Mobile pre paid in Virginia. The first 500 mg are 4g. Then it continues after the 500 to say 4g but when I checked an app it said "T-Mobile 2g". They really do **** us

Hi all I have the lg g2 with Sprint and was wondering if there was a mod or something to enable data during phone calls...
Sent from my LG-LS980 using xda app-developers app
As long as you are in a 4G area you shouldn't have any problems with that. I'm on VZW and if I'm in a 3G area it won't work but works fine in a 4G area.
well I was in a 4g area and was using hotspot and when I answered call hotspot stopped working.but as soon as I hung up came back on.

Sprint LG G2 does not do data and calls simultaneously while on 3G (or even 4G as of yet). On WiFi, yes.
Hoping someone could make a mod to make it happen that would be good

I read somewhere that it is a hardware limitation due to the phone being tri-band. I believe I read it somewhere in s4guru.
Edit: here is the link http://goo.gl/BCpbrL long article but well worth reading it.
That was one of my favorite features on my evo lte, having 3g while on a call and i had assumed that the g2 would have at least 4g while on a call, but i have noticed as well that i do not even get 4g while on a call and its a real bummer.
Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
its an antenna\modem dependancy. The same hardware cannot be used for both simultaniously,
Thats why for two sims to work simultaniously a double setup is needed in hardware.
You can phone and wifi at same time, as its different hardware utilized.
This is the same on all mobile phones unless they have the extra hardware.
