pairing jabra bluetooth device with samsung galaxy s2 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I want to know how can we pair a Jabra bluetooth device with samsung galaxy s2?
I tried to search for the bluetooth device by turning on the bluetooth & scanning for devices. But it does not show me the Jabra bluetooth device.
Please help..

Did you read the pairing instructions for your device? For my jabra BT3030 i enter pairing mode by depressing the call button for 4 seconds and then searching for it with my phone.

If your Bluetooth is already paired with another device, you will have to reset it to be able to pair again. Follow this steps :
1. Switch Off your device (Jabra).
2. Press "Call" button or any other as required by your device, till the light on your device is constant (not blinking).
3. Once the light is constant, search for this device from your phone, and pair it.
4. If it pairs successfully, the light on your device will start to blink.
Hope this helps.

BT GPS feature on a BT HEADSET.

i have a BT-Q818 and one cool feature it has is that it goes on stand by mode once there is no connection. this is the case when i step out of the car. and whenever i start driving again, i seem to have had no pairing issue.
question is, is this FEATURE available on any BLUETOOTH HEADSET? reason being is that i only use my BT HEADSET when i drive and im getting tired with my current HS810 where its a hit and miss. sometimes it would pair and sometimes it would not.
thanks for any input guys.
Upon disconnection, the Nokia HS12-w displays "disconnected". Pressing the play button for a couple of seconds causes it to reconnect (I suspect to the last device it was connected with, but am not sure about that - I can test it if you like).
But even if you switch it off and back on, there is no need to pair again: it just starts searching for paired devices and connects with one of them (alas, no choice regarding what device it connects with, but it does seem to prefer Nokia devices over HTC ones).
The first connection it makes is as a headset (only calls are routed throught it, other sounds still come from the HTC). After pressing another button it also connect as an A2DP device and all sounds from the HTC are routed to it.

[Q] Bluetooth Auto Connect to Headset?

Is there any way to have the phone auto connect to my bluetooth headset? This is the first phone that I have to go into the settings to connect to my headset every time I turn it on.
I turn on Bluetooth on the phone first, then turn on my headset, it connects automatically.
Once connected, go to the Bluetooth settings. Long press on the headset, you should get a prompt that includes options. In there I believe there is a Trusted Device check box, make sure it is selected. That's the only thing I can think of, other than that check your headset to see if auto connect has to be enabled there.

Tried it, but it's not working. I can't get that menu to come up =/. Usually when I pair it with a phone it auto connects by default. Hopefully I can figure it out, it just gets annoying when I have to go to settings and click it to pair and wait to accept it every time I turn on headset on.

I have tried the long press on the headset of the paired device.....it doesn't matter how careful I am to only press the headset icon I still get the box that says this action will unpair my device... I can't seem to find the prompt that includes options.. Any more ideas? It's a real pain to have to manually pair...or if it's a quick trip and I don't bother to put the code into my phone it keeps ringing/notifying me constantly that I need to add the code. I have just spent 2 hours googling....trying to find the answer....but to no avail...I have also tried seeing if the problem is on the car end instead of the phone end, but still none the wiser......

[Q] Prime has trouble pairing with Logitech bluetooth audio adapter

I just bought a Logitech bluetooth audio adapter (Model 980-000540) and am having a lot of trouble getting my Asus Transformer Prime to pair with it.
I've got the gold TF201, 32GB, all software up to date. I've gotten it to pair a couple times reliably, but the other 20 times I've tried pairing it works like this:
1) Press the button on the Logitech that puts it into discovery mode. The light on the unit starts flashing green to indicate it is announcing itself.
2) In the Prime settings, I have Bluetooth enabled, and then search for devices.
3) The Logitech unit shows up in the "Available Devices" list pretty quickly. Sometimes I see (what appears to be) a MAC address, sometimes it shows up as "(A9)Logitech Adapter".
4) When I click on the Logitech item in the list, it goes gray and says "Pairing" underneath it.
5) Most of the time, it the moves to the section above, to indicate that it has paired.
6) Immediately the green light changes to red on the Logitech, indicating it has lost pairing.
7) Shortly afterwards, the Logitech item goes back into the "Available devices" section.
8) If I try to pair now, with the Logitech no longer in discovery mode, the Prime will show a dialog that says "Couldn't pair with (A9)Logitech Adapter because of an incorrect PIN or passkey." The only option is OK, and there is no ability to set the PIN.
This happens 19 out of 20 times, but it's locked on a couple times and seems totally solid and reliable after that. It's just the pairing process which seems unbelievably fragile.
To my surprise, my Samsung Galaxy Nexus (LTE) has no trouble pairing with it at all. It paired the first try, and now whenever I turn Bluetooth back on it immediately syncs with the Logitech with no hassle at all. Rock solid.
I've tried various tricks, but none seem to work:
- Put the tablet into Bluetooth-broadcast-visible mode at the same time.
- Turning bluetooth off and then back on, etc.
Has anyone else had trouble with Logitech bluetooth speaker adapters too? Or does anyone have any tricks or apps that can coax the Transformer Prime into pairing more reliably?
Thanks for any help,
Jim
I had a very similar problem last week trying to pair a LG headset with the prime, connected with phone perfect, and but likewise when trying to connect also to prime second got the lost connection, incorrect pass/pin etc etc.
I solved it by connecting bluetooth headset to phone, then under phones bluetooth settings press and hold device name to bring up a menu, and select options. Then unchecked the Media option/box. I then tried to connect the device to prime and it worked flawlessly. Since then I haven't had an issue and can even switch between the phone/prime & bluetooth device with no issues.
Hope above helps and you get it sorted.
Try this app. It may help if nothing else does.
Bluetooth Address Finder - Market
Not sure if the Prime or your Logitec gives you the option to input the BT address or not. I've not had any problems pairing or connecting to any of my BT devices.

[Q] Parrot CK3100 wont pair

Hi
I am having problems pairing my GS3 with my incar bluetooth handsfree.
It recognises the handsfree, and says 'paired' but the handsfree doesnt beep like it should and the headset icon does not come up.
Any idea?
What worked for me
While I haven't tried to pair a sgs iii. I have successfully paired numerous ios and android devices and they all have the problem you describe. The following procedure (that I found on the web and is directly from Parrot support) should work:
Pairing can be difficult, and as such the droid is not currently
considered compatible with the evolution. The phone should pair; but may
not connect. What some of our customers have been able to do is to pair
with the Parrot, where the Droid reads "paired but not connected" then
clear the memory on the Parrot, whence it will announce "memory erasing
in progress please wait". Most steering wheel controls will allow you to
clear the memory with a combination of the Volume Keys Vol- followed by
Vol + 5 Times (-+-+-+-+-+). Or if you have the red/green keypad with the
dial in the center, simply press and hold the red/green button at the
same time. Normally when the Parrot is done it will announce PLEASE PAIR
DEVICE when its done, but these customers have reported that it instead
simply beeps indicating it connected to a phone, and sure enough the
Droid showed it was connected and paired.
Some further points to note:
(1) this worked for me even though my parrot firmware is very old (ie. I didn't need to upgrade the firmware)
(2) at times, I need to repeat the process multiple times to get it to work. be patient.

Nexus 9 Pairing with Folio Keyboard

I'm finding the pairing of the Folio Keyboard with my Nexus 9 to be problematic. I'm not sure if this is because there's an issue with NFC on either device or I'm just doing it wrong.
Pairing the keyboard using only bluetooth works but needs to be triggered by selecting the already paired with keyboard in bluetooth settings and can take 10s of seconds before it is connected. I expected that the keyboard would connect as soon as it came in range of the NFC chip, but it doesn't. I think NFC at least partially works as the keyboard is detected by the tablet as a trusted device via NFC. When I follow the directions to pair the keyboard via NFC by placing the tablet on it in the right manner it does not pair though I hear a tone when the doing it, that doesn't happen when I change the orientation of the tablet. From this I conclude that the NFC hardware works but something in my use of it, the configuration of the tablet or a system bug is stopping it working properly.
1) Is it a reasonable expectation that I can be expect once pairing has been completed that placing the tablet on the keyboard will be recognised by NFC without having to lay the tablet in the manner described in keyboard documentation?
2) Assuming the desired outcome as described above is possible will this trigger the tablet to turn on bluetooth (if it is turned off) or is it necessry for bluetooth to be either manually turned on, left on or find some other mechanism that triggers bluetooth to be turned on in order to connect the keyboard?
3) Is it a reasonable expectation that keyboard and tablet to be quickly connected (in a second or so) via bluetooth?
1. Once they're paired. They're paired, no need for nfc.
2. It will not turn on bluetooth automatically. Just leave bluetooth on at all times.
3. Mine connects pretty quickly once I learned the proper method to do it, that being with bluetooth on, slide the camera portion of the table slowly over the portion of the folio just above the number row. And visa versa to unpair.
The only annoying thing about this keyboard folio is the fact that I need to turn back on the "hardware input" to either see the on screen keyboard when not using the tablet, and turn off the onscreen keyboard when using the folio keyboard. I wish it did that automatically. I'm either missing something, or need to figure out a way to do that with tasker, via touch imputs or something.
Yeah, once you connect via bluetooth, NFC is no longer needed.
The frustration I am experiencing is that once the keyboard is paired and connected...if I turn bluetooth off or it disconnects, it won't automatically reconnect the next time BT is turned on. Am I missing something here? It's like the keyboard is asleep and the nexus can't find it to connect to.

I generally just touch an input then hit a button on the folio keyboard. In about 1 or 2 seconds the letter will show up and the on screen keyboard will disappear. From there I just type normally.
