Hey guys,
I had asked for one but I couldn't find any for the Wildfire so I made a splash (boot) screen with Google written across in white. Looks in my opinion much better than the default hTc quietly brilliant screen. I reckon the text might be a little small - it's size 26, what do you think?
To install it you need Splash Screen Creator by VibrantOwnr, move the BMP file to the "Put-Files-Here folder" in the Splash Screen Creator folder, run the .bat file and off you go! Or if you have your own way, I've attached the .img file if you want. Both of these are combined into a zip.

No. You cannot flash .img files in cwm, you will need adb or the tool in the first post.

Music app appears to be broken/nonfunctional. May be because I didnt flash the user data.
At first look, appears that some of the graphical glitches/slowness are gone, may just be an artifact of being a "clean" install.

Go to /system/media if you find a file bootsamsung.qmg then you can't use this.
For Samsung, this boot animation works on custom Rom only.

My 3rd ever Boot Animation and the first attempt at one for the ray. Pretty noob yet. But if you want an Xmas themed boot animation(and a simple one at that!) give it a try
Very basic animation of a Xmas tree & Flashing Lights. Andorid Santa on top of the tree rather than an angel
Rename to bootanimation.zip and place in System/media
Download Xmas Ray.zip

I don't know how to create a flashable bootanimation(yet) You can just use a Root file browser like ES to copy bootanimation.zip to system/media
