With my bill going up and companies like metro PCs going down, which carrier would be the best to switch to both in price and service? (days, possible 4g)
Bump? Anyone?
it can be done, but as of right now as far as I know, there is no way to get the msl/spc code unless the phone is active. or you can pay someone get the code for you. Once you get the code you can then put the device in diag mode and flash a new prl for the carrier you want to use. I have flashed many phones to cricket and the photon can be flashed.

Could this method work to flash my Photon over to cdma boost?
So far people are telling me I can't flash it, but the iFix store in the mall says I can flash to boost or metro. Please enlighten me. They said they charge 50. Is it possible and well I get 4g or anything? If so also, which company should I go for?

yes you can flash it with other carries i have mine working in IUSACELL (México), and i have 3g working too you just got to rewrite some nv items so the data configuration can be saved. You need your msl code in order to program it with cdma workshop
I have no idea how to do that I would have a company in the mall called Ifix flash it for me, just not sure which company would be best in Florida on the gulf coast. Metro, boost, cricket, simple mobile. Or if they can unlock the gsm portion?
I have my photon fully flashed to cricket, I paid someone $35 for it, took them like 5 hours but its working perfectly.

Hola. i have mine on metro pcs pero i dont have internet yet...can you help to get internet de metro pcs..
Working on it
I am working on getting mines flashed over to metropcs
I am waiting for the esn to be added to the database.
I should be able to get internet working on it, and maybe mms.
I will update when i have it up and running.
But so far i have gotten my msl/spc by using radiocom like here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1365058&highlight=msl&styleid=16
then after that you just have to add the esn here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270915486238
then after that you have to change the msl/spc to 000000 with cdmaworkshop or qpst. But i cant get qpst to work so ill let you guys know once i am ready to do that part.
I can flash it for you, I have flashed my bros to cricket. the phone does not need to be active there is a method to get he MSL.. IF you are in the philadelphia area I can flash for you. I only charge 35 $

Photon to Boost or Virgin Mobile
I'm also interested in finding out if a Photon can be flashed to Boost or Virgin Mobile. My Photon has a bad esn because I didn't pay the bill. I just read on Cnet Sprint is giving WiMax to Boost and Virgin Mobile (http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57...to-bring-wimax-to-boost-mobile-virgin-mobile/) which makes my Photon valuable to me again. Are there any updates on this subject? I have searched the net for cdma flashing software and it's a tad expensive and complicated (for me). Plus, I like to flash rom's and themes so I don't want to end up having to re-flash because of a ROM I used.
I had posted this elsewhere but here's what you guys need to know before proceeding.
To clear things up and put this to rest, here's some things you need to know about putting the Sprint Photon on other carriers.
Will not work on GSM in the United States
May work on Boost (requires you change/clone the ESN, illegal)
May work on Virgin (requires you change/clone the ESN, illegal)
Any method that requires you change or clone the ESN is illegal
May work on Cricket (Expect 4G to not work and expect it to take a while to get it to work right. grey area)
May work on other smaller CDMA carriers like Alaska Communications (see notes on moving to Cricket)
Both Boost and Virgin are subsidiaries of Sprint and flashing to them requires breaking some laws at a Federal level.
Your best and legal option is to leave CDMA altogether. If you are pleased with the Photon then getting a good condition used Motorola Atrix and having it unlocked for international service would be you best bet. You may still run into issues where certain features like data may not work with certain providers. I have been told by others that have done it that on the Atrix it's simply having the right APN settings.
Discussion of this nature tends to be frowned upon by the moderators due to the legality of the subject so don't be surprised if the thread gets closed.
help flash motorola photon to metro
Im not too good with touch screen phones yet. I just got one through sprint and got an account its a motorola photon. My first question can I switch and flash over my phone from sprint to metro? Second questions will i still get the internet? Third question does anything need to be done before hand such as example: account must be 0 balance. What would I need to flash? Is it hard to flash it? Can you explain in detail how to flash it. I just got an account and phone with sprint but when i seen the bill per month after i got home and baught the phone I was mad! Can I switch it over if I just got the account literally its 2 days old...please email me [email protected]

Your phones bootloader is locked. All most impossible to change.
If your off contract you can switch your Photon to ting real easy.
Ting is cheap if you don't use cell data , use WiFi were you can find it.

Expo Mobile will activate sprint devices without flashing. I am on their $35 unlimited talk, unlimited international text, and 500mb LTE data. Everything seems to be going good.
Google voice call forwarding does not work but the app does. People can call your Google voice number and it will still ring your phone. You can still make out going calls and it will display your Google voice number. What doesn't work is if someone calls your original cellphone number and it rings 6 times it will not forward to Google voice.
Sprint Voicemail app works.
4G LTE works great and i get 10-15mbps just about everywhere I go. Expo also has 24/7 customer care, most prepaids are closed after 10pm.
If you have a bad ESN this will not work the only other option you would have is either cricket or page plus and you will only get 3G data. Small price to pay with having a bad ESN.
Ting is very good too if you need google voice to work. I herd that they support it.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to put straight talk on a cdma android phone. Preferably a Droid Eris. Please any knowledge? Let this be a general question.
Not possible. Go to Howardforums.com and check out the straight talk forums. You need to use a straight talk phone. You might want to check out page plus cellular, they offer bring your own device on verizons network.

It's IDEN (I think that's the acronym).

Wrong. Your information is out of date pko. Boost was bought out by Sprint a while back and uses both IDEN and CDMA. The CDMA part is now the actual Sprint network so from what I have heard on various other forums you can get any Sprint phone and run it on Sprint prepaid (Boost). They have an unlimited everything plan for $60/mo. Or better yet you can get a Sprint 450 minute plan for less and get unlimited texting and data I believe.
Well now I've got boost with full evdo network. Not 1xevdo full evdo. Anyone that wants to know how I did it I will tell you if I see a request I am tired of uptight people hiding and keeping secret thing that people wanna know.

I'm waiting for this to happen too.
Straight talk is just Verizon.
Just really cheap.
it won't happen. I have heard Straight-talk has an esn white-list of phones sold for Straight-talk. Phones not on the list can't access the network, even if the same model as a phone they sell. But if you are near wifi most of your day, page plus is a better deal anyway.

not hackin more like clonin/donor

You need a ST donor phone, yeah, but you should never turn it on or activate it, just need it for the MEID. if you already activated it you're SOL, need a new donor.
For Anyone who cares
Let me start off with saying, I have been screwed over by VZW far too many times to allow them to continue pliaging my pockets. I'm currently working on converting my Verizon (CDMA) Smart phones (HTC Incredible; 1st Gen Android; iPhone 4) over to straight talk.
Now for all you nay sayers, who, for the longest time have made claims that it can not be done; well I tell you it can. I know it's a cliche, but as people have said before, "where there's a will, there is a way!"
This will involve a very intimate understanding of all the mobile networks there are, and, the different networks Straight Talk uses. For anyone who is currently pondering the question "Can I flash/spoof, or otherwise get an AT&T phone on a CDMA network?" The answer is and always will be NO! This will never change. The only exception to the rule is the iPhone4s. This is due in part, to the fact the iPhone 4s was originally designed to be a world phone. This means that the iPhone 4s has the capabilities to switch to CDMA from GSM and vice versa.
If Straight Talk does have a white list of ESNs that have acess to the network, then that would be a tiny problem. I say tiny problem because it can be overcome. This comes down to legalities though. In order to get any CDMA phone (to include verizon phones) onto the straight talk network, you will first have to buy a Straight Talk (CDMA) smart phone. Next you'll have to unlock your current Verizon phone (or any other CDMA network phone, i.e. Sprint, Boost, etc.) from the current carrier. Then you'll need to spoof your IMEI and ESN to what ever your current Straight Talk phone's IMEI/ESN is. You should be able to find some software to assist with this, by doing a google search (specific site will follow in my next thread.
Spoofing both the IMEI and ESN are very important, as the ESN is unique to the IMEI. Essentially, you are fooling the network into thinking that the phone accessing the network is the one you bought from Straight Talk. Another reason for this is so that VZW never catches the on to what you're doing, considering they monitor the data usage of each phone on thier network. If they notice an IMEI from the phone previously on thier network, now with a new carrier who offers cheaper services, they will cut and block you from their network.
(The following thread is a concept in progress. If anyone else thinks they have another/easier way to do it, please feel free to comment)
All questions are welcome, however, if you lack a basic understanding of the cellular technology or the information flow through the mobile networks, I will probably ignore your question. (SO GOOGLE IT!)

GSM phones
I know this is old but just reading around thought id post, i just bought an atrix 2 online an at/t phone and got straight talk last week, and all you need is a GSM phone on bands 850 and 1900 mhz thru T-mobile at/t or unlocked and your good, they dont do cdma because it gets complicated if you use anyhing then the phones they sell. But i can report on my "4g'' phone which is HSPA+ i get 8mbp/s up and 2 mbp/s down in my area, so great service!
i'd suggest page plus - its also on the verizon network... nothing special needed, just a clean esn eris - call pageplus and they'll activate you for free, free $2 to get you started and then all you do is buy pins to refill service.
also, you can load cricket prl and some more to get cricket working...

Did I do something wrong? I went into the metro PCS store and asked about putting my ESN in the database and they looked at my like I was speaking latin. Just got back from 7 metro PCS stores including a corperate one, appears they refuse to add my ESN into the system, or even add a line for this phone. They will NOT metroflash it.
And apparently "All these kids are learning to unlock their phones and they want to add them to our network"
I have the $50/m plan that is required for smart phones. I searched metro pcs esn on craigslist nothing came back. I now have NO idea how to get this phone to work...
EDIT: I just tried doing *611 on my 3vo after "flashing" it to metropcs and it takes me to sprint's customer service. does that mean I did it wrong?
Just go to a dealer store. Most corporate stores stores dont wanna do smartphones(some will). But if you go to a dealer store they will houdini your phone. Which is where they write an esn from a phone in their inventory to your phone to get it into the network. When they flash it it will do the prl part for you. And if you already have the data provisioned everything will work from the time they flash it.
Reflasing on Sprint Data not working
Sorry not to hijack the thread but I think someone here might have the expertise to help me with the issue. I have a evo 3d that was flashed to Metro. I wanted to flash it back to Sprint, I cleaned the esn. Voice and txt works but data does not. I keep getting error code 67. upon more research i found out that i needed to copy NAI and AAA and HA secrets. Which I made sure were correct. However, I still keep getting error 67. Can anyone help me on how to get 3g data working? thanks in advance.

data not working not even 1x. copied over the profile 0 and profile 1, including AAA and HA secrets but still does not work. When i tried hands free activation, i keep getting error 67 and profiles are wiped out.
Yea that error is because your not connecting to data. I know sprint you can zero out the ha and AAA. Where you used to have your metro msl code that needs to be replaced with your meid hex. Your gonna also need to make sure your sid/nid are those for Sprint. I do now know those off hand. One thing you can try to get those settings back is flashing a new radio it will contain the nv items you need for those spots.

That's what I thought I did, The in Evo 3d, using QXDM, i set addresses 465, 466, 1192, 1194. one of the user id was my [email protected] and another one was [email protected]
AAA was 'secret' and HA secret, i copied over from the old working phone.
Just to try I also did, ##SPC# (SPC= my spc code) and reset my data, after it rebooted the phone it tried doing hands free activation but it would error out again...
i feel like i am so close yet little further from working outcome..

Can some1 sorta explainthe process of flashing to metro i had my Evo flashed by a guy that im sure knows what he is doing and everything went smooth. Now my sis and bro both got themselves Evos but this dude keeps on givin the run around and switching up the prices one phone was already being used w. Metro when bought but he insists that it needs to be "reflashed" (since its been on metro b4 wouldnt he just have to activate it to the existing acct?) the other has never been flashed. what im mostly wondering is, besides adding the esn into metro network is there anything else that MUST be done by a metro dealer? Is this thread for actual flashing or for provisioning like bloody's guide?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
You won't find any guides that truly show how to flash. Technically all the guides here do show you how to flash them. But metro is using a differnt method to flash now. So its not as simple as giving them your esn to have it added. They write an esn from a metro branded phone to yours. As far as the one that was flashed already all you need to do is call metro from it. Then provision the data from bloody or jds guide in order to get web and mms.

what happens is this,
msid 9412333323 or 9412340237 or 7272271341
u can use this number i think, any metro msid number near u. i had these saved, from my new evo, and old touchpro,
u have to use a metro number for it to connect or something...
I did both of the following steps..
I did bloodys provision and at the same time i looked for the msid num.
in qpst u need to go through all the pages, i think i found the old number in 2 or 3 spots... if its a number change..
in DFS...
MIN A = USE ur 10 digit phone number,
MIN D = USE the msid number,
add any metropcs prl and u should connect to metro before any flash, change ur number or whatever...
i manually flash my 2 evos, but the 1st metroflash to add the esn, the internet and mms worked out the door,
The second in ebay 45 to add the esn, then I dialed *228 and it worked..worked on the first shot,,, after it was added.. it was activated with my acct.. yeah..
edit: 12-23
##3282# under ADVANCED u will see MSID

I have a Motorola Photon - Rooted thanks to forums.
There is a wireless service here in Ohio with CDMA phones called Revol Wireless with a month-to-month unlimited talk/text/web plan. But their phones are trash and are allowing other CDMA phones to be flashed to their service.
Corner stores all over columbus, with cell phone vendors inside, are flashing Sprint phones with bad ESN's to Revol Wireless.
I took my phone in ti multiple stores. Revol supports the Motorola Photon but wants to charge me $40-$60 JUST for the flashing service on top of the inital $50 monthly service fee.
Now, if I wanted to spend $100+ on a new phone I would just hit craigslist for a GSM unlocked.
Does ANYONE here know HOW I can do this without having to pay some over priced carry-out?
I can provide little information to get you started on the how-to...
Here is what you will need:
Rooted Android
USB data cable
Android drivers
HW Virtual Serial Port
CDMA Workshop 2.7 or 3.x higher
I have seen there is a simple "One click process" through software called Houdinisoft but they also charge a ridiculous amount of money for even a 1 time key.
But all over the internet I see people (those who know what they're doing) doing this process manually with no fee's.
Please help me save some money. -_-

To make the phone work on there network all you really need to do is flash their prl to your phone and have them add your esn to their network. That's all that is really necessary. You can find plenty of info on prl flashing. It may be tough to find their prl. I think if you just get your phone to roam on their network with the esn added you can *228 to update it?

Thank you the time replying but no that doesnt help at all
It's a little more involved than that, but getting the prl on the phone will make talk and text work.. But that's about it. If you've never flashed a phone to another carrier and cant follow a tutorial online you might as well pony up the cash and have someone else do it. I've done lots of sprint and verizon phones flashed to cricket and it can be time consuming depending on the phone. A tutorial online to flash to cricket would be very similiar to what carrier you're trying to flash to, but you are gunna need all the carrier specific information for you Revol. I've never heard of them.

you'd also need to edit APN's for mms.

Never been able to get a phone on cricket to OTA with *228 after entering the PRL and have the data work. Always had to tinker around with cdma workshop and QPST. I have done less than 10 phones though so maybe I'm not that seasoned at it.

Yea, the nv items.. it's mostly pretty easy as long as you have all the info to enter.. i had problems with a galaxy s2 on cricket where i had to try tons of different prl's to get data and calls to work correctly.. don't know why.
Sorry for no reply
Thank you guys, for the time you took to reply to me. Sorry I have not been responding. I have been trying to do as much research on this as I possibly can before i get into it. But I still have no idea what you're talking about.
I can admit im in over my head. I root every android phone I have ever had. I have jail broken every ipod I ever had with 0 casualties because I find an online tutorial and follow STEP BY STEP. lol
But there is no tutorial anywhere for this.
Im VERY good at following directions but you guys arent giving directions you are giving steps of what needs done. Not how to do them. Im sorry I AM a noob that just reads tutorials. I dont wanna take a crash course on this phone lol.
So you know im in a wireless family.
I work at T-Mobile Corporate in Redmond, And my brother in New Jersey at verizon.
I personally use an optimus G SPRINT on Verizon Prepaid, Not that I dont like the T-Mobile speed, But lets be honest coverage sucks.
So the 1.5 to 2.5 MBPS nationwide I get on verizon is better. OK Back on point.
So my brother tells me Verizon is actively trying to combat the MIFI flashed to verizon prepaid, On mulitple fronts.
They have contacted ebay, and ebay sellers have been suspended.
And here is the one that sucks for all of us that use verizon prepaid.... They renew and send a new AAA Key every 4 to 7 days.....
And may also resend or renew the A-Key.
What that means for you if you are a verizon prepaid user and have a flashed phone but not the donor...... You sadly are screwed.
But I'm going to give you an easy fix, I have had to do it now twice.
You can also use QPST build 355 works for me, and copy all the data from the gusto to the other device.
Sadly my brother said they are not doing this targeting phone users, Verizon is not stupid they know people flash phones.
But they are targeting JETPACK and MIFI users.
He says in recent weeks they have seen Prepaid accounts that are using over 80GB of data a month on these supposed GUSTO's
So naturally verizon is now cracking down, This is similar to what Sprint and Boost Mobile did with ERROR 16.
Just giving you a heads up, And to flashers who flash the MiFi devices, Verizon is actively searching Craigslist and eBay, One eBay seller is now being sued by verizon and they found him on Craigslist in Salem, Oregon.
Just be careful, I use about 15GB a month on my Optimus and dont have any issues, Beyond having to reflash the info using the guide above once a week or so.
I also have seen less AAA resets when I keep the ROM Stock, And more resets and having to reflash when I got to a custom rom.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the write-up. Customers have been asking about this. So every 1-2 weeks? And nothing the customer can do without a reflash? Which phones do you use for donors?
This really only affects the mifi users. I keep a backup of my aaa and other passwords and they haven't changed in over a year. If for some reason you do have an issue dial *228 and it'll update for you on your evo 4g lte. Also I know I'm the pot calling the kettle black but mifi users use alot more data then any one else. I personally don't use them.

Your not really roaming it's the phone telling you it thinks that it's roaming due to sprints programing the phone. Turn off all roaming notifications in settings and change settings to allow all roaming. If that bothers you alot then flash the 53000 prl. But now you'll have your aaa keys good

First off Thanks for the Heads Up.
the OTA is Pretty self explanatory 1-Programs your phone & 2-Updates the PRL.
There isn't a good or bad choice it's either Program your Phone or if your phone is already programmed & you want to get the latest PRL you press 2(If you have a Verizon Android Flashed you won't get the roam triangle,The triangle is only if you have a non vzw android flashed over) but If any1 is worried about the roaming triangle or it just bothers you I have attached links to 4 different Modded PRL's that should remove the Triangle.
51807 PRL - The 51807 is an older Prl but Good. I know it works on alot of different Phones cause I have Flashed many many phones using this PRL all across the country
59317 PRL - The 59317 PRL is a newer PRL & I have used it but not on as much & not as many Phones as the 51807 just because it's newer. It is a good PRL as well but ymmv where you are with coverage so that's why I uploaded 4 diff PRL's
52979 PRL - I Have NOT USED this PRL
52515 PRL - I Have NOT USED this PRL
I use the 51807 & the 59317 PRL's when flashing phones to Straight Talk, Verizon PP, Page Plus & Next G. You can use these for ANY Carrier that uses Verizon's Network & they SHOULD work. I Hope they help some peps.
I am NOT Responsible for you, your phone, your actions or how you load these to your phone. So if you brick your Phone it is NOT my fault. Use QPST 2.7-366, CDMA WorkShop(use the Paid Version don't b cheap) or DFS to Load these. If you do a Google search you will find all of these

Hi guys my question to yall is how do yall get the *228 to go through everytime I try it it doesnt give me a keypad to select 1 or 2 and than I tryi to dial *22890 and *22891 and nothing it gives me an error message if anybody help I would greatly appreciate it thanks.
*228 will NOT work on a flashed sprint device it will never get data on its own you need to use a doner for that sorry. but to answer your question just dial *228 and leave it alone for like 3-4 minutes it will ota but wont get data
I am seriously new at this so please bear with me. What does one do if they do not have QPST (can't activate/register). I have been trying for 4 months to get my ota data to work. My wifi is fine while at home but when I leave I have no data connection. I can make calls and my gps works. But I have tried everything ##7764726 *#*#4636#*#* get me into settings but I do not know what should or should not be in there.

7-24-14 Mifis Flashed to Verizon since the 6-10-14 Update
Hello,
Just want to let you all know that we do have the original and so far only confirmed solution for flashing mifis to Verizon at this time. We have the 2200 the LC11 and the 801 and 802 working and are now almost done with the 4510 and then we will be working on the 4620 after that
We also have the solution to fix throttled mifis and prevent Verizon from throttling them again. In fact Verizon can never communicate with the device after the throttling fix is applied. We have this working on the 2200 and will be porting it out to all other mifis.
Once we get all the mifis working again on Verizon we will be working on porting the throttling solutions over to phones
I know I don't post alot on XDA but I wanted to share this information with the whole flashing community rather then just keeping it over at CDMA Gurus where I usually post
You can check out our videos and services via our websites
www.flashedphones.net
www.flashedmifis.net
Also here are our dev links
Hope this helps

UPDATE - 8-7-16
Just want to let everyone know that we have the 4510 solution now and the 4620 for both flashing and dethrottling these units to verizon prepaid accounts!
So thats just about all the mifis and now were about to start working on some new ZTEs
Does anyone know if the imei number on a sprint htc one will activate on at&t ? Or will at&t not acknowledge an imei from a sprint htc one ? As a sprint htc one has both an esn and an imei number. Just curious if at&t would allow the sprint imei number on their system ?
No it will not. Sprint is an entirely different beast of a phone. Plus, from what I understand, they don't possess the needed tools to unlock the phone even if it could be put on AT&T's cell bands

It's not a question about working on at&t because it's documented all over the net that it will, as you get talk, text and HSPA 4g data you just don't have the ability to receive LTE data. The sprint HTC one does have a imei number my question was will at&t accept that sprint imei number or does it require a different imei number one from an at&t phone ?
In that case, if it's documented all over, then your answer should be in there. Honestly, AT&T's main service relies on the SIM card, not the IMEI like Sprint or Verizon, so if the phone reads the SIM, you should be good to go. You just need to sim unlock the phone, which is the biggest issue you're going to have. Everything I read on the net is that Sprint does not currently have a SIM unlock mech built in, see http://bit.ly/RLoHko

Yes it does but if they do not distinguish it as a good imei for them then in a matter of time they may deactivate the SIM counting it as a bad imei because it's not one known to them. I have done imei tests to see if they show it's a good imei and they come up unknown like they at&t don't recognize the sprint imei number so it's more that just throwing an at&t SIM in and thinking it will just work forever because they may turn it off because they don't recognize the sprint imei number. There are methods on the net to unlock the sprint SIM there is even an app on play store for unlocking the SIM on a sprint HTC one.
I don't know what to tell you then. I've used a number of non-AT&T phones on their network, from the international S3, to unknown knockoffs, with out an issue. Honestly, sometimes you have to be the sacrificial lamb and try it out. Or, you call up AT&T to ask them, and let them know your intention, alot of times, they'll be really helpful. All in all, just my 2-cents

We have gotten off topic, this was in no way asking if it can be done, because it's documented that it can be. it's just not talked about weather the sprint imei number will work. Its about weather at&t will accept the sprint imei number.
Please only respond to this posting if you have personally used a sprint HTC one on at&t or if you have direct knowledge of someone that has. This post is not in any way asking if it can be done because it can as there are videos on the net of sprint HTC one phones on the at&t service. So please don't post trying to say it can't be done.

People with the Sprint M7 had no issues using AT&T or T-Mobile, so I don't see why that wouldn't be the case for the Sprint M8. If you're SIM-unlocked and your IMEI isn't bad (like those on phones reported stolen), I'm not sure what the problem would be.

One might think that but on a test of my sprint imei they done recognize my imei number that is why I am asking for someone that has done it. I do not want to switch to straight talk at&t and have problems because right now I am flashed to a Verizon mvno but only get 3g which I had the flash done professionally and if I just try and have problems I will have messed up my flash as the data passwords would probably need to be programmed once again and the whole time my phone would be down. So I would like to have all my ducks in a row. Verizon 3g just totally blows at&t's HSPA is way better faster 3, 4 or 5 times faster or more. And I hate Verizon with a passion they are the worst company in the world they think they don't need to complete like they think they own the market and they deserve more money than anyone else. I wish they would go out of business for being such blood suckers.

What do you mean "on a test of my sprint imei they don't recognize my imei number"? You called AT&T and asked them to check it? They might not recognize it because it wasn't an AT&T phone to begin with.
I would flash back to Sprint, perform a SIM-unlock then pop in an AT&T pre-paid SIM. If all else fails, just flash back to the Verizon MVNO.

No on an imei check web site it was like the imei number was not recognized. If I call at&t they will ask what kind of phone it is and if I say sprint htc one they are going to say no they cant activate sprint phones on their network.
I dont need to flash back to sprint that would not make any difference, now yes I might have to unlock the sim, but my post was not asking about how to do it all because I know all that.
My question on this posting was will at&t accept the sprint imei number, and I dont want to screw up my straight talk verizon flash to find out because if at&t does not accept it then my flash would be messed up and I would have to pay the guy again to re do my data passwords again and he is very busy and can take a bit, but in the meanwhile my phone service would be off.
So just trying it blind is not an option because it may cost me money and time with my phone service being off.
Possible solution
On att's network the SIM card is all that you need to get service up and running, the IMEI on the account can actually be wrong and your service can still be working. You can drop by a store and have them issue you a new SIM card and either let them activate it or call customer service and give them the ICCID. It doesn't answer your question but given the phone will accept the SIM card and the antenna can communicate on the carriers bands you should be fine.

No the imei number makes all the difference in the world if they dont recognize it they may turn it off like a blacklisted imei. Its all about at&t accepting the sprint imei number if they chose not to you could put 100 sim cards in and it wont matter because if they as in their system does not like the sprint imei then they will lock the sim card out everytime no matter how many sims you use. Its not about the phones capabilities its about at&T allowing the sprint imei number on their network.
Problem solved I tried my sprint imei number on the straight talk web site and it shows good for gsm straight talk at&t service. So I will be buying my activation kit at walmart today and I will be getting gsm straight talk at&t service unlimited talk text and data for $45 a month and it includes LTE data even though my sprint phone wont get LTE still at&t HSPA is still a lot faster than lousy verizion 3g data, and unlimited data through them is a 3 gb a month cap and if you go over you just get throttled oh well, which I never use that much data anyway.
Question. Did you pay full retail?
If so why didn't you just buy the developer edition if you going to use it on GSM.
Or sell your Sprint version and just have to add maybe $150 or more for a unlocked m8
