A little background info on me. I am finishing up my EE degree. I have a small programing background (Assembly, C,C++,VHDL,Octave/Matlab). Now I am trying to create and android app that allows me to control a vehicle using the sensors (accelerometer ect) in an android phone over a Bluetooth connection.
IS there any app that you know that i can build off of??

Is there any way some could make a DNC application.
This transfers information over serial connection to a CNC machine.
Though this might be able to be done with a blue tooth serial adapter

I am super new to development but really enjoying it and would like some assistance porting a yahoo widget. (Mostly javascript it seems) to function inside my android app. I personally dont have the knowledge for this but learn quickly and would like some help if anyone can spare a little time to show me the basic's of this particular action. The Widget seems pretty simple. It has really one main function. It logs a player in, checks to see if he's currently in a race and if not begins one for him, then repeats the check and start periodically.
Thanks for reading.

I'm looking for an app that will place a mouse cursor on my tablet (Transformer Prime) and be able to control the cursor with my cell phone. Similar to the apps that controls a PC mouse cursor with a cell phone.
I'd try to do it but I don't know any programming at all (Unless GW Basic is still used ).
Thanks

So I post this in the Android software development section so Dev's can see my request then it's moved to the Android Q&A where it get relegated to page 4 in a matter of hours.
How is a request for app development supposed to be seen by the talented DEV's here in a Q&A forum? I would think more DEV's hang out in the SW development forum than in the Q&A.
Oh well, so much for LOGIC.
Hello Everyone i recently started developing for windows phone , and i have been following this unity tutorial of the space shooter game , i am having a really hard time grasping the Technics for changing the controls of the player from keyboard to windows phone touch control, so can anyone please care to explain it for me
thank you and have a nice day
First of all, this is not a Unity forum. Those exist, and you should be asking questions specific to Unity development on them, not on here. This is a mobile devices / mobile OSes forum.
Second, you're in the wrong sub-forum. This sub-forum is for announcing apps and games. If you want to ask questions and get answers, you should try the Q&A forum (crazy, right?). Once you know what the heck you're doing, if you want to do some advanced discussion of development or hacking, you can used the Development & Hacking sub-forum. Once you've actually got an app to show off, or are looking for beta testers or other such feedback, come back to this forum...
Hello Everyone,
Let me start out by saying if this is the wrong forum please feel free to relocate this post.
I have a general question about fixing a broken Android App. SkyWatcher USA makes an app for Android for the Astronomy buffs. Many of the telescope manufacturers use a controller called SynScan that allows "Go-To" operation of the telescope mount. Many also have either built-in WiFi or sell an adapter that allows you to "tether" your scope to your Android device. This allows many 3rd party planetarium apps to control the scope's computerized mount. SkyWatcher's app is called SynScan Pro.
One of the app's features is getting GPS location data from the device. Since the introduction of Android 12 that feature is broken. I was thinking I've been waiting for months for an update that will restore the ability to use the location sensor in my device but it isn't available yet. Currently if you enable use of the location sensor the app crashes.
My question is how does one with little app building experience find good info on how to fix this broken function and bring the app up to Android 12.
Thanks
