So I was following the tutorial to install another keyboard and noticed that using anycut with zeam launcher does not seem to work. It says shortcut was created but no shortcut shows up. I installed ADW EX and same problem. Installed go launcher and it added the shortcuts and I was able to run the necessary settings and update the keyboard.
So question: anyone have this problem? I would like to be able to use anycut but I don't like go launcher.
with me its the opposite problem it wont show the shortcuts on the go launcher....

Hi,
Try a launcher like ADW Launcher, Zeam, or Launcher Pro. You can change name of shortcuts, apps, folders, whatever through homescreen launcher (not the default one / ROM built-in launcher). Just long press on your home screen or go to menu and choose add, then you select shortcuts. You may choose any kind of shortcuts from there. Afterthat you can long press on the shortcut to change any action, name, or icon.
I use ADWLauncherEX daily. You can try the free one or other launchers. Find them in the market.

i have install the ADWLauncherEx.
if i use ADWLauncher, i can't use SPB mobile shell.
so i think i need to change the application name.

Sure. Go to Manage applications, find your actual launcher and clear the default start option. Then click in the home button and choose the launcher you want and check the box that says to use always that launcher.

Yes you can install multiples launchers for example: Adw + Launcher pro + Go Launcher, when you have installed them, if you press the Home button the system let you choose the launcher.
Yes, you can have how many launchers you want installed at the same time. When you want to use another simple do what i told in previous post.

i have downloaded Launcher pro from the market but can't open it, only option available is uninstall.. the devoleper itself mentioned "If you can't open it, download "ClearDefaultHome" or "Home Switcher" ..

hi, i have installed apps and games on my phone, the problem i am facing is that there are many icons on the menu. What i want to do is to create a folder in the menu and move some selective icons from it and paste it into the folder. Is there any app to do this.

Edit: if you want you may wanna try switching to golauncher ex which supports folders in app drawer.

Gotto agree that you should use Go launcher ex, the 2nd choice would be adw (from what ive read, never acutally used it).
I tried out a launcher or drawer recently, but can't seem to find it now. It's not Go Launcher nor TouchWiz, but similar in that it allows the creation of folders in the drawer. When selecting apps to add to a folder, I had to edit the folder and tick the apps I wanted. I could even set the transparency of the drawer, if I recall correctly.
I've searched through the android>apps and Samsung Galaxy S2>apps threads but still can't find it. Does anyone know?

It's neither! I mentioned about creating folders in the drawer, and adding items by ticking (selecting) from a list.
GO Launcher EX? I think you can create folders/groups in the drawer.

Has anyone encountered the launcher or drawer which I described above? I've pretty sure I used it, just can't recall what it is at all!
It's not:
LauncherPro, GoLauncher, ADW, Zeam, AltDrawer...
Only one I can think of is Balancer Launcher
I disabled the default desktop launcher in Remix OS.
This gave me a traditional Android-style launcher.
I did this so I could have features like multiple desktops, swipe navigation, ability to use widgets, etc.
The problem is that I cannot remove shortcuts from this alternate launcher. I can only re-arrange them.
If I perform a long-press on a shortcut, the only option available is: "Uninstall".
This makes it impossible to organize my shortcuts.
Remix OS forces every app shortcut to stay on the desktop.
There's no way to remove useless shortcuts I don't need.
Is this by design? Can you all check your launchers and let me know?

Yes, it seems the two default Remix launchers are terribly limited.
So I don't understand why they block Nova Launcher (re: Third Party launchers not supported).
Thankfully, I figured out how to use "SD Maid" & got Nova Launcher to work.
I haven't experienced any glitches, and my launcher is now so beautiful & fully customizable.
So it makes me even more confused why Nova Launcher is blocked.
