[Q] Unlocking my Bootloader! Help - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was wondering is there an easy application to Unlock my Bootloader of my x10. ?If you know any can you lead me to it? THANKS ...

there is one One touch tool to unlock bootloader but the thing is u need to be on 2.1 then it can unlock bootloader easily !!

Well if I unlock my BL, will it be permanently unlocked? Or can I lock it back again?

just for confirmation, is it still after UBL the kernel needed to be flash via flashtool and cant be flash through recovery?

I did knot Unlock my BL yet ....can i Unlock using the new Flash Tools v0.5.30 ??

Yes use flashtool if u can't press the button to unlock it because you don't meet the requirements. (think u need stock kernel)
Edit: yeah u can re-lock bl

there is one One touch tool to unlock bootloader but the thing is u need to be on 2.1 then it can unlock bootloader easily !! if u can flash 2.1 then search for the one touch tool i dont remember the name exactly but u can search the forums for it !!
If you go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746 and download flashtool you can unlock with one click of button. You need to be on stock kernel to do this. or unlock button will be grayed out
Edit: Is your phone sim locked or unlocked? If it is unlocked u need to check with s1tool if you can actually unlock this way (it can break your device). Info for this is here:

No.even 2.3.3 also can unlock bootloader using Flashtool.
Here's the easiest step.
1.Download the latest flashtool.
2.Flash the phone to stock SE 2.3.3 ROM.
3.Root Your Phone
4.Click Plugin & unlock your bootloader.
Thats all.

Search forum for s1tool and follow. Also (not sure if this is accurate or not) type on keypad *#*#service#*#*, go on service info, software info & check s1 boot version it has few numbers then r8a033. If the r Is lower case (like above) then I believe u have unlocked. Even easier after I type all this flash doom kernel for unlock bl if se logo is replaced by dooms boot pic then u unlocked allow

Why there are no roms with stock kernel? It's possible?
Thanks !

Branded phones cannot have unlocked bootloader at all, both methods will not work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520456
This is some Xperia mod, mostly edits only the visual part. Does not require bootloader unlock.
Might be more, only some stock-based ROMs can run with stock kernel.
you can unlock bootloader on branded phones with test point, i did it with mine unfortunately it did no good because due to a sim lock restriction i had no access to fastboot mode so i had to completely unlock mi phone using setool (paid tool) or you can also use omnius (paid tool).

Yes, only via paid methods can bootloader be unlocked right now.
Most of the custom ROMs need seperate kernel... However u cn try UXP NXT Rom... I think it uses the stock kernel

read that. Everything regarding bootloader unlocking should be there remember, you MUST be on stock 2.3.3 rom to unlock bootloader. The official Sony Ericsson rom, not any stock-based rom..
