everytime i try to upgrade to 3.2 i get the black screen of death could it be because im rooted??? or because im running a custom rom?
yes dont do OTA upgrade by samsung if you have already running a custom rom, u will get a black screen when u reboot.
If i go back to stock rom will i be able to ota? And if so where would i be able to get it from
if u have a stock rom u will be able to, but if u have a custom rom running on ur tab it will be easier to flash another android 3.2 roms examples >> task's rom or overcome's rom.
I am running on custom. Rom with 3.2 just wanted to see if the stock 3.2 was smooth
Use the restock rom given in Teamovercome website. You will get the OTA then

I am on rooted Android 1.5 (Kirma 1.8) which work perfectly, flawless, and fast.
I m wondering how can I upgrade to any custom 2.1 ROM?
1) shall I simply load custom ROM file on my SD and use recovery mode to install the ROM?
OR
2) I need to first upgrade to Official HTC 2.1 ROM, then root 2.1 rom and then install a custom ROM?
Also which of 2.1 custom ROMs do you reckon? Do I need to upgrade recovery rom before upgrading to 2.1? I m looking for rooted- fast-overclocked one like Kirma 2.1
1 was correct. Ie. Just flash. Update amonra if you like. I'd advise it.
If you want 2.1, there's plenty of sense ROMs to choose from.
If you look to 2.2, there are vanilla froyo ROMs available.
Try them out and see what you like...
Thanks pulser i ll give it a go

Hi all,
I did a quick search and but didnt find a direct answer anywhere, I only found that the current stock rom is running 3.1 and the update to 3.2 hasnt been rolled out in the UK.
My question is, if you have UK model Galaxy Tab 10.1 16/32gb wifi only, can you flash a custom rom to upgrade it from Honeycomb 3.1 to 3.2? Or do you have flash a stock 3.2 rom from a different country then flash a custom rom? If it is possible, will I also need to flash any new kernels or would they be included in most of the custom roms that are available? Many thanks in advance.

You can flash a custom Rom directly. No need of flashing a stock Rom in between as you said.
A Rom contains kernal also. Some will have stock kernal and others custom kernal.
I would suggest you to try Galaxy Task Rom. It have Pershoot's custom kernal also.
Thank you for confirming this for me.

Guys pls i need help to install 5.1 in my phone or return to my stock firmware. Only 1 week earlier i rooted my phone and update is release and i have installed twrp recovery how to return to my stock firmware to update my phone pls help or send me a link of stock firmware or instructions to install pls help...
Well let's see here, why did you root your phone in the first place and flash twrp?
I presume it was for a custom ROM. Unless you are selling your phone or giving it to service center, you have so many Marshmallow ROMs out here!!! Why would you want to return to stock!? Just why. You have Resurrection Remix for intense customization, the most trusted Cyanogenmod, You also have aosp caf if you really want a stock experience (Its just as stable as stock with no bugs). I just don't see why you should download 600mb worth data! You could have 2 custom ROMs and a kernel for that amount of data. IMO, don't........ Just don't
