Many thanks in advance.

Did you go into system-app-livewallpaperspicker.apk or livewallpapers.apk and delete that, or did you uninstall a live wallpaper? Or maybe turn off scrollable wallpaper? Because I don't remember any CM7 theamed live wallpapers... what ROM are you using? Why don't you just get some flowery live wallpaper from the market?

"Some flowery live wallpaper from the market?" - Dude, that's just being straight up sexist. GTFO the forums if that's how you're gonna act.
Nisha: Download Titanium Backup from the market, Back up all your apps and reflash the rom. You can use Titanium to restore your apps to the exact same state they were when backed up.
As to the file you deleted, was it an app? Or was it in a system folder or what? Where did you find that file?

I tried installing one lwp from market and i can use it. So, imo its the apk that i deleted. Can i get that back from somewhere?

Which file did you delete??If you don't know, just copy the zip of your rom to your PC.Open the zip and go to system/app.Then compare the files in the same folder in your system app with a root explorer.See which file you deleted. Now,if you found which one you deleted, copy that apk file to your SD card.Make it a system app and give it the correct perms.I can't give you the perms because i don't know the app you are using...This is pretty much the only thing you can do because you don't want to reflash
Also guys..I would like to remind you guys that profanity is not allowed in xda
Awesome...it worked...thanks alot.

Well, if it was the apk of the wallpaper that you deleted, then you can just download it from the market. Just remember the name or something. Since you deleted the apk itself, then you might have to "uninstall" it from the list of applications then proceed to reinstall.
Like I said, download titanium backup and back up all your apps. That way, no matter what happens to your phone, all your apps will be in the SD no matter what unless you format your SD.
hey man try this
it happens
try this it will help
Flash this
and the wallpaper will come back
have fun
Thanks sam...i got my wps back but am still missing that lovely lwp...can u plz help me with that as well? Sorry for demanding too much.

Didnt you try what i told??Its sure to solve the problem because you can get the full list of the apk files in your custom rom then
Yep...tried that and it fixed the problem as well..but just noticed...the files in zip are odexed...while the zip provided by sam is deodexed. So wanted that as well...i m greedy...gals are usually.

Can someone say to me how can i replace an app with update.zip??
I want to replace the music app that is on the phone with another kind of music app... how can i do it?
in this case, you need to forget about update.zip
1. root your phone
2. get a file explorer. like root explorer or astro
3.a. find the .apk file that relates to the app you want to uninstall OR
3.b. use titanium backup to freeze or remove the app
4. install the new one
Which app are you trying to uninstall? and are you sure it's safe to uninstall it?
hope this helps
Sorry, but i know that is possible to do.
In fact, during the first installation of CM7 for the Galaxy GIO, there were a lot of apps, and then the developers released an update (update.zip). When i flashed this zip, the old apps has unistalled and there were new different apps. So?
while updating if u wipe data(factory reset) then all your previous apps will be gone. mostly in updates u need to wipe just cache and dalvik. so the apps will stay. you can use titanium backup to backup your apps + app data and restore them after updating

I'm still confused as to whether u have root and what phone your using ??
(I'm assuming your using the GIO?)
If u have already done what u wanted to do, how did u do it?

I used a guide that i improved in this link http://pirateparty.altervista.org/forum/19-guides/42-guide-create-your-android-update-zip.html ... Post there a comment if you want to know something else or simply if you want to add something ... I'll answer to you quickly!
Good guidep and a very interesting concept, can u post your _user.txt file?

Sorry I dont understand! Register and post there, cause your comments can help someone else. So http://pirateparty.altervista.org/register.html , and then comment the topic http://pirateparty.altervista.org/forum/19-guides/42-guide-create-your-android-update-zip.html ! If you'll post there i'll receive a notification and i'll help you! TNX bye!
I think we should be posted about this on XDA forums, not your own website, as to help with other XDA members since it would be available to a much bigger userbase on XDA.

I have some bloatware i wanna remove, like 'Lets golf hd, 'fun&downloads' and a couple of more.
But it seems like i Titanium backup cant find the apk's. I run ICS 4.0.4 rooted and unlocked bootloader, and use explorer to system dir, looking through 'system/app' No apk's
But if i look on 'vendor/app' i see the apk's there. So i copied the apk's to 'system/app', but no luck
What is wrong here?

Thanks, helped a little bit. But not totally. Some progs are back after reboot. And if i wanna restore them and place them on SD they stop working.
But Still i wonder what is wrong here? Why is it like this? Some screw up from Android Dev? Or Sony?
And i did search, for 2 whole days before i made this post, google, xda, sony forum.
Still your suggestion did not show up in my searches.
But do u suggest we shall not post if our searches does not reach what other ppl find?
XDA is kinda big, there is a lot answers, ..and questions
So for your information, i will still post questions in the Neo section if i do not find it in the Neo section But i promise i will not post it in the ARC section
And to the case: The thread u suggested worked, to a limit. not 100% for my needs.
But for other with a Neo like me, that wanna go through this, please try the link codephus suggested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26758586#post26758586
Also the App can be found in google play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...leanup.Inteks.org&feature=search_result&hl=en
Sony Neo and ICS 4..4 are easy: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26980804&postcount=3
well i was trying to encourage others towards doing a through search before they post
anyway, this might sound stupid and you might tried it before but: have you tried flashing 4.0.4 ftf without the "vendor.sin"?

Remove bloatware
Hi @all!
I'm running Android 4.0.4 rooted on locked bootloader Xperia Neo.
Don't know what's the matter but it seems that bloatware in /system/vendor/app/ (such as 'Fun & Downloads', 'Let's Golf', etc) cannot be deleted.
I tried to remove those packages from SManager, Es Explorer and Root Uninstaller with root permission but they just refuse (it gives an error).
Any idea?? How did you remove them and why I cannot?
Tnx a lot!

Ok guys. It might be just my phone.
I'm root and the partition is mounted with R/W permissions and yet it doesn't permit the files to be deleted. It just says that they cannot be deleted.
I tried with several file managers, such as SManager or ES File Explorer.
Just delete the com.htc.weather and the other things for weather that are all about the default "weather" for htc... And I cant find what Can i do... Can u help me ? (Sorry for my English..):good:
Thank u!
In future I highly recommend using Titanium Backup when deleting Android Apps from your phone or tablet because it's free and it gives you the ability to backup the App since once you delete it there is no chance of getting it back unless you can find the APK on the internet and with stock software that's very unlikely you could try contacting the manufacturer for the APK file but it's unlikely they will be able to give it to you so just use other weather software.
Which phone and which ROM do you use?
How did you delete the stuff? Usually these things should be protected.
King combra ics ;p

He surely knows how to create flashable zips quickly
If we know where the app data is being stored, its quite easy to make the zip If anyone knows where it lies, let me know and I can make a backup in a few mins

Open with Notepad++, and see what you can make of it ill explain in detail tomorrow
