Can I save the sound from a note into mp3?

I've saved some notes on my xda/wallaby in which there are small embedded sound files.
Is there a way, either within the XDA or in windows that I can separate off the sound part of the note so the sound can be used in another windows programme?
I've tried the basic way of cut and paste but as you'd guess - no dice.
Any ideas out there
Thanks all for reading.
Perhaps I've found the ans to my own q
whoops, I've just looked back over my old posts and have seen I asked and got a reply to a similar q before.
I'll try that software to see whether it can 'pull' the embedded sound file from the note -
But If anyone knows this does / doesn't work I'd appreciate a push in the right direction.
Thanks
Bummer! No good, doesn't run. It appears to need W2003 and my xda's using W2000.
Any other ideas people?
Have you tried other software?
Hi,
I had the same question, but since I could'nt save my notes as mp3, I downloaded RESCO Audio Recorder (I use v3.21), and it works great. There are others that offer this possibility, you could look for one that fits your necessities.
You could also play your note while using this audio recorder software, so you get only the sound you want... I don't know if it will really work, but it's an idea.
ref the resco prog ...
Hi there, just logged back in tonight 5:45 pm UK time, thanks for the suggestion.
I'm downloading it to my xda right now so I'' post fback for others later
BTW here's the link I used for future ref

It Works ! ! !
Hi there, it works
I Installed Resco then started recording as mp3 whilst at the same time I opened the Notes file and pressed play on the embedded sound file.
So in effect the sound went 'out' the speaker embedded and back 'in' the earpiece to become an mp3
And that could then be taken into my PC
No real loss worries as the file is just 'plain vanilla' voice not music
Thanks again
XDA = 1, rest of the PDA world = 0
Yippie
getting mp3s out of an xda
Just to confirm, the resco prog works perfectly in recording output from the loudspeaker.
I then passed the mp3 through audiacity a free open source small-scale studio style mixing programme and then uploaded the finished article.
If anyone is interested, here's the link to the file.

the sound file in question is the one called 'Dreams In The Night'
Regds
Great!
I'm glad it worked... And you're right, the sound quality remains good enough, at least for the convertion of notes to mp3...
Now I use this software directly to record my classes in mp3 format... The main problem now remains with the battery, that lasts less than 3 hours (I also use a infrared keyboard to make my notes while the recording)... I´m trying to change the battery for a new one and also getting an external charger, so I don't need to concern about it anymore... Let's see if I can get it to work...

this cab deactivated the sounds (shutter) when start a videorec. or shoot a photo
+ up the recordtime from 10 min. to 80 min.
You can use "Resco Explorer" to replace/remove protected files.
Few days ago, I downloaded Resco Explorer v7.05 and I have used it to replace the "windows/sonority.wav" with a absolutely quiet *.wav file.
And then there is no sound when I am taking pic now! Yo!

An alternative you may wish to consider is use of the attached .wav (as used in my own ROM) which is a 'quiet' version of the standard shutter sound file. (I used the original and simply edited to a reducaed amplitude). That still gives you a positive feedback when the shutter is pressed but without upsetting the surrounding peace / nervous subjects, etc.

To use copy the file onto the device by USB. Then rename and copy on top of the original in ..\windows using Resco File Explorer (or equivalent) or copy as is to ..\windows and edit the registry to this file name.

[Q] File browsing issues / video playback general

I'm pretty sure I am not breaking the cardinal sin of asking a stupid question with an answer right in front of me. If I am, I am truly sorry. I searched, and did not find any threads on this.
I recently modded my TP with CM7 (I'm very new to all this). Everything went fine, no issues here.
I plan to use it to play video's from time to time, pre-loaded in case there is no net at the location, etc. I use astro file manager on my phone, and since I love it, I grabbed it for the TP also. Problem is, it really seems like it cant see anything.
I am thinking the folder path mappings are off or something? I see that I can define where I want "external storage" to look, (default is... /mnt/sdcard)?
I even tried to take a screenshot and got... "Error: /mnt/sdcard/tempshot.bmp (Permission denied)" Screenshot saved to null
Anyone know what I'm missing? Thanks!
-- Ps, if I can get this sorted out, my main question was which video files are supported for playback with this CM7 rom through the TP.
These were answered before, but for the most part buried in threads. Your external SD is actually listed as EMMC and it's not in your primary directory, you actually have to go up one.
Android should play most formats it would normally, but as this is still alpha, there is no hardware video acceleration, so anything higher resolution then a internet video will most likely be choppy.
There are some video players that people have had luck with, and overclocking the processor also can help until we get hardware acceleration.

Ah ok. I was somehow able to get the stock filebrowser to see my directories without a problem after I poked around a bit. I then ran into what you already answered for me . Video's do indeed seem choppy... I think I'll try to reduce the quality of an avi I have and see how that go's.
I'm not ballsy enough to OC anything. It took me a lot of guts to flash the damn thing anyway, thanks for the heads up though.
-- figured I'd post how it turned out.
I used Xilisoft HD Converter and converted using the android specific output setting, and 640x480, runs great using double twist.

[Q] Looking for a remote storage video recording app

Hi,
I'm not sure if I'm just using bad search terms or what, but I haven't been able to come up with anything.
I know something similar must be out there! Apologies if it's easy to find and I've just overlooked it...
What I'm looking for is a Video Recording/Camcorder App that streams live to YouTube, G-Drive or even my own Server.
Just want to be able to shoot video and have it safely stored offsite immediately...
(Not like the stock camcorder app that let's you share and upload the video post shooting)
I mean if someone grabbed the phone out of your hand whilst recording, it would still be there.
Does anybody have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate any help!
Thanks,
Bren
