Go Launcher Ex lets you use custom dock icons also. Looks great, just one thing though. The dialer got themed but when you make a phone call that part didn't get themed. Could it be because I was using the blurphone.apk from a different theme? I even took the blurphone.apk from this theme and manually put it in the sytem/apps folder and set the permissions but it still uses the old themed one.

Ok, so kind of a noob question I guess. But how do I get the dock and icons to change I have go launcher ex and I cant figure out how to. I also have adw ex but it says I havent purchased it but in the market it says purchased and it won't let me download. Also my battery meter says it's at 100 and hasnt changed at all. It's unplugged and was only at like 70% when I put this theme on. Any ideas?

You might need to download an icon pack, or with go launcher, (which is what I use) you can steal the icons, recreate them in photoshop and then use them in your dock. When you long press on the icons, you can replace them with "Custom Icon".
As for your battery, it sounds like you might need to recalibrate it. You might need to go into charge mode (when you see the battery charging while the phone is off) and then wait till it hits 100%, reboot into CWM recovery, or Bootstrap, and wipe battery stats. I don't know if just using the Battery Calibrator app from market is enough to fix this problem. I had the same thing happen when I was flashing ROMs.

Sorry, I meant how do I use the icons that are in this download?? I can't seem to get them to show all of them, only the main ones and the dockbar is the one that came with go launcher, I can't get the themed one to show up.

BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD THE APPROPRIATE FILE FOR YOUR ROM!!!
Ok I have put alot of work into this so far and there is still alot more to do. This is a theme I have put together for myself and thought maybe others would like it too. So here it is.
I did alot of it myself from scratch, such as battery and signal icons along with alot of other icons that I have pulled from other places and modified. Pretty much everything I pulled has had to be changed in one way or another. So I hope I can give all the correct credits for where the credits are due. I have not learned too much about .xml editing yet so some of the fonts may be hard to see on some of the backgrounds and such. This is still in it's very early stages and hopefully it will get much better as I learn more.
If it doesnt have a credit beside it then it was done by me.
What is themed?
frameworkres
twframework
touchwiz3.0
mms
swype (keyboard ported from bluemyst by topshelf10 found HERE)
musicplayer(originally by mrrobc97 found here ported by me to work with projectV)
miuimusic
some of the lockscreens (still working on them)
dialer
market
browser (still working on this)
contacts (still working on this)
settings (ported from legend-x by S39 and modified by me)
I am sure there is more, but I have been so busy I may have overlooked somethings. I am sorry if I did just let me know and I will be more then happy to add it.
Everything that has been ported I plan on changing and re-doing.
Flash at your own risk. I am not resposible if you destroy your device.
Instructions:
1. Download the appropriate Precision Version for your ROM
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Flash zip from sd carc
4. Reboot
5. If it happens to stick on the boot animation, simply hold power to reboot again.
6. Enjoy

Themed Apps
FROYO
Froyo most of these are for KB5 so they may or may not work on other ROM versions. Test at your own risk.
This is a link to my mediafire folder for the themed apps for froyo. Look through it and find the apps you would like to use and download them then install them using root explorer to system/app or you can download a froyo version of the theme from the links in op and delete everything except the system/app folder and then you should have a flashable of them.
Themed apps for froyo.
DOWNLOAD FROYO THEMED APPS FROM HERE
-----------------------------------
GINGERBREAD
Themed apps for Gingerbread. These have been tested on jvp jvq and jvr and they work for all of them. They even work on some captivate versions.
The link is to a folder follow the instructions to install them.
Themed apps for Gingerbread ROMs
DOWNLOAD THEM HERE
---------------------------------------
Since this is the Vibrant forums I will repeat install instructions.
1. Click the link for the Android version you are looking for themed apps for.
2. Browse through the folder and download the apps you want to install.
3. Use root explorer or something similiar to install the files to system/app
OPTIONAL alternate install method.
1. Download a version of Precision from the OP to your computer. Use winrar or other zipping program to open the file.
2. Then delete everything out of the system folder besides system/app (if you are using Gingerbread make sure you go into system/app and delete the systemui.apk)
3. Go through the system/app folder and remove the apps you do not want.
4. Now you have a flashable of the themed apps you left in the system/app folder.
5. Go into recovery and flash the zip as you would any other.
If you install the settings.apk and your rom has custom settings it will most likely make you lose the customizations!!
Looks nice. Thanks!!!

Once I get it all completed I can most likely make some color variations of it pretty easy. The worst part will be re-editing the battery.
Started dialer and touchwiz overhaul. Dont worry the silver background in dialer will be removed, was just putting it there for now.

Kwes this theme looks great! Thank you for the time and effort you put into making it. If you have the time and energy in the future I would love to see the "power control" widget themed to match Precision. Birg had it themed to match Trigger but did not include it in Project V or the Trigger theme for Project V. Again it is not a big deal at all but if you find yourself tinkering it would be cool to see. Thank you again I appreciate the new look of my phone.

Testing
I'm loading the ROM currently to help test things out. I'll report my findings. Thanks for all the hard work!
Did notice that the boot to Recovery option in the power menu doesn't boot the Nook into CWM. Would being on CWM v5.5.0.0.4 and not the most current version cause this?
Half owner of the rom and no credits
If you want me to host the rom on the official alienroms.com page i can and also make a newer pic for the nook instead of the kindle fire.

Nice work!
looks nice from the pics, can this be flashed on top of your other red mods from the other thread?
Also, when you say uninstall multi window control, where do I find that? I do not use it and cannot find it in the app drawer...sorry for the noob question.
Thanks!

Yes it can be flashed over the existing mini themes. If you dont have multiwindow control, you didnt add the mod for all apps in multiwindow. It will install the mod and multiwindow control for you

So no need to delete anything? And flash via TWRP OK? Need to wipe anything in recovery before flash?
Thanks!
Can't wait to get home and flash this, thanks for the work guys!
Ok I flashed this in TWRP wiped cache and dalvik first, then flashed, all went well but none of the mods took. Status bar is still grey(I'll post a pic in a minute)
No 4 way reboot, wifi ongoing is still there and GPS icon is still there and no wifi toggle.

Absolutely, this one right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044351
the funny thing is the status bar also has very small spaces at either end(left and right end) where it doesn't quite reach the edge of the screen and also has a slim space on top where the status bar doesn't quite meet the top of the screen but oddly enough this does not show up in the screenshot I posted where it looks as it should. The spacing issue was present before this flash though as I went back and looked at another screenshot I took before the flash. Must have happened from the original mod but I just didn't notice.

When I download the lastest file to my computer it does not say .zip at the end of it, it also does not say .zip after I move it to my SDCard, is this an issue? I could have sworn the first file we flashed said .zip

Ok never mind my last post, once I navigated to the file in recovery it said .zip so I went ahead and flashed. I think it's a windows thing where it hides the .zip in the filename
Anyway, I flashed and all went well
4 way reboot present
Black status bar present
GPS icon gone(WOOT)
wifi toggle is now present
Only issue is that the ongoing wifi nag is still there, not sure if it was supposed to be gone or not.
Donation on the way man! Great job guys!!

Thanks man I appreciate it I kept the wifi nag mod out because it modifies the same file as the multi Window hack. If you don't use multi window, flash the zio from the OP of the mods and it will go away

Ok cool man after thinking about it I'll just play around with multi window for awhile and see what all the love is about.
Here are a couple screens so people can see what it looks like, lots of themeing has been done and if you like red, you'll love this theme:
My services.jar that kills ongoing wifi notification is 100% compatible with LegendK95 multi window mod

Jelly Bean Blueberry Theme*****Before flashing the theme, use the Market app to update Google Search (aka Google Now) to latest version if you had not done it already. Then flash the theme and enjoy*****
If you already flashed V.01, then uninstall any Google Search you have installed. Then download from the Market just to be sure you have the correct one. Theme flash V.03.

Note: Please this a beta and I took some shortcuts to get this posted so fast. I used the apps done for the Mean rom. Except Settings, SystemUI, Framework-res, Framework.htc-res, Resources, Velvet (Google Now). I see no side effects for what I have done. All appears to be working as the Viper Team designed the rom. Skins are 100 % working, except one thing. In the Quick Setting Notification area the slider button icons are what is in the base theme (com.htc.resources.apk). This is cause by the method used by the Viper Team in the modded Systemui.apk, not something wrong with the skins. For now I left Sprint Voice Notes out of the theme since a new update is available and needs a whole new theme added.

Ok, thanks for the feedback on the problem with Google Now and the f/c's. Didn't happen with me, so I will restore the basic rom and go thru the steps again. I may have to tell folks to remove the Velvet.apk from the \system\app directory before flashing if this is causing problems. Question: Did you update the Google Now before u flash the theme? It's possible the Google Now has been updated and the one that came with the Viper rom is newer than what I have in the theme. To correct you problem, uninstall Google Search 2.2.10.54 in TB and install again from the Market will fix the problem for you and anyone else who has the same problem.
Edit: $hiT, didn't test Google Now until now. It is f/c on me as well.
Edit2: Found the problem, my google now is newer than the one with the rom. 2nd, the problem is in the name of the file in the zip. Take and rename the file from Velvet.apk.apk to Velvet.apk and it will work. Didn't notice I did that
EDIT 3: For now just delete the file from the zip, found it will f/c on exit from the search!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ????????????????????????????????????????

Sure, just wait till I upload beta .03. Found the problem, the Google Now (aka Velvet.apk) in the rom was the old the version. I knew that when I tested the theme. I put the new updated version the \system\app directory just like it was in the rom.... I forgot there are some lib files need updating as well. Also I had a copy the same app in the \data\app directory as well with the correct name and folder to install like the Market will. The uploading zip will install to the correct directory and have the correct name. For those just now downloading, if you haven't flash the theme then wait til I get version .03 posted. Then all you have to do before flashing the theme is update Google Now in the Market and then flash the theme. Plus I changed the boot animation from red to blue and reduced the size for 27mb's to 6.
Heck I didn't even know the Viper rom was available until midnight last night. Keep me up till 0300 so I could get some theming done so I could live with it.

Nice work on the theme wolf but there is a problem when on the home screen I hit menu then choose wallpapers and its telling me the app isn't installed here is a screenshot of what it says...also look up in the left corner of my screenshot..isn't that sweet! I love viper Rom tweaks!
Edit: also your theme breaks the customization of the lockscreen carrier caption and the icons in case you didn't know...I know its just a beta but I just wanted to let you know the things I'm seeing

billyho - can you share that wallpaper ? its sweet
TW - switched back to Viper over weekend and your theme is exactly what its always been - great.
billyho is right in that the lockscreen icons arent showing and carrier info wont go away.
I also noticed that the battery icon under the power settings looks off. Like its a smaller, cut off image.
And preference question - are the check mark colors within the menus, etc changeable? they are that JB blue
color and Id like to make them a darker royal blue, similar to your theme. Are they just a png change ?
Thanks - Themes incredible and Im glad you brought it back to Viper.

This is what I have been waiting for! Some feedback to what is broke. I knew some things would not work correct. :good:
This week I will work on using only the Viper apps all the way to fix any and all problems. Hard to tell what I do not need to change and as you can see from the OP. A lot of files to do, hang in there I will get this done over the next couple of weeks or sooner if I can.

The battery icon settings is the same icon as stock, just is blue. Show me a picture, that way I can see if yours is different.
There are 4 different checkmarks used in the theme. 2 are custom and 2 are stock. Where each one is used is hard. Since I seldom run into the stock ones. Again giving a picture(s) would help in finding where the stock icons are used.

Please explain a little more as to what is broke on the Viper rom. Other than what is stated above. With regards to files from roms, each one is using mods to key files to get each mod working. Most mods are working on the Viper and I knew at some point and time I would need to do all the files just to be sure I get every one of them working correct. I put the theme together in about 4 hours. Wanted to get a basic theme done so I could live with the rom as I knew the time need to re-do all the files. From my past time on version 2, I knew what was modded the most. Did those and just as a test I tried all the other files. All appeared to work so I posted the theme as a beta waiting for you, the group of flasher's to tell me what would take weeks for me or a handfull of tester's to fine. What you found in a few days. I do not do awhole lot of testing before I post. A very large theme and I would never find all the bugs as over 300 users would.
Thanks, got what I needed
TW. Heres wut i mean.
The pic for th battery has a white border and looks like its been cropped. Looks a little off to me.
The other two are the check marks. Light blue in the settings menu. Th darker blue is from handcent apk. I love the dark blue checkmark look and want to make it
all that look.
The checkmark colors are just my preference im asking about...Im not saying to change them
Thanks

Ok guys, go easy on me. This is my first real attempt at theming anything major on the S4.
Last updated 07/23/2013 - Fixed colors in mms and mms send button text.
This is for the Verizon S4 VRUAMDK
For Dialers that will work with ME7 go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438904
This is for Deodexed roms...
Note: Several users have had success installing this on odexed roms by simply renaming or deleting the odex files for the apps installed:
SecContacts.odex
SecPhone.odex
SecMms.odex
I hate the white dialer and have noticed from the many posts here I'm not the only one.
I didn't want totally blacked out apps but just didn't want white.
So here is what I came up with:
Dialer themed after the T-Mobile S4
Got rid of the cartoon looking blank contact (there may be some lingering that are pulled from framework files)
Mms emos changed with mostly yellow smileys.
Mms Widget themed (semi-transparent backgrond)
Probably more, I have been working on this for 3 weeks now. I thought Sense was hard to theme.
Touchwiz makes Sense look easy
Thanks to prsterero and Gunthermic for helping me find some of the color locations.
Enough banter...

As usual, I am not responsible for any damage or problems you may have. I recommend a full nand backup before flashing any mods.
Due to the nature of custom roms there is no way for me to know what has and hasn't been customized. This and all of my other mods should only be flashed after doing a backup in case things don't work the way it's expected.
These mods have been tested on several roms before posted but that is no guarantee that they will work on every rom out there.
This will replace SecPhone.apk, SecContacts.apk, and SecMms.apk
It will not modify or alter your framework-res.apk or your SystemUI.apk

Flash in recovery, I assume?

No go.
Booted into TWRP, flashed, wiped caches, rebooted and phone process kept fCing. No phone, contacts, or messenger icons in drawer.
Back to TWRP, fixed permissions, same result.
Flashed revert, and all is fine.
I'm on stock, rooted MDK.
Off to bed, I'll check back in the AM.
Thanks!

This is exactly what I've been looking for as I'm on stock rooted odex. Once someone confirms its working for them I'll give it a go.

Themeing
I don't mean to thread hijack here but I was wondering if you could point me to a good resource with instructions on themeing apps?
What you have done look fantastic, and I can't wait to try it out. There are just a few small tweaks that I would like to make but to want to ask you take your time to do them (personally I prefer the green android smiley's). I would love to figure out how to do this myself. I'm pretty much starting from ground zero here so a "for dummies" guide would probably be in order.
Thanks again for the work you've done and for sharing it with us!
Looks great!
Question: I'm only interested in the phone theme because I'm using the aosp messaging app. If i remove secmms.apk from the zip and flash, will that theme just the dialer and contacts?

I would also like to see a version without the messaging app. Other than that, flash worked like a charm on Cleanrom 1.6.5. Love the dark dialer, but am not a fan of the blacked out messaging app.

I added an MD5 to the OP, check to make sure yours matches.
I have only tried this on "Jelly Beans" but the phone, contacts, and mms are based off the stock rom.
I know others have flashed it and it is working for them, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work on stock rooted.
Again, I am running Jelly Beans but just to make sure the upload was good I downloaded it from the link in the OP and flashed and all worked fine for me.

Just remove the Mms apk from the zip file and flash, that should get you what you want.

Thanks, MD5 checks out.
I remembered I have an xposed module applied to the phone to enable call recording, maybe that's the conflict? I'll try removing that module and flash again.

Awesome
Thanks for this, I am running jellybeans and this looks awesome.
On another note: what is the signla bar and 4G icon theme that you are using ?

Added Phone and Contacts only zip file to OP
I tried this and it worked great but when I apply RIT Icon theme it fc's the phone like crazy. Sucks that it wont work with it.
edit: I guess I found a workaround. I just flashed revert and then flashed the dark version and it seems to have fixed it.
Tried flashing this with interesting results...
I'm running sacs v4, which comes with the call recording mod. I flashed the dialer/contacts zip and it looked great, but it removed the call recording. No problem, I figured I would just flash the call recording mod that works with themed phone on top.
Booted up, and no service! Then I get an error message saying my sim card had been removed! Nope! Restored a nandroid, and haven't messed with it since. If I get this to work then I will let you know gadget. The theme looks really great, I love it but I prefer call recording to aesthetics.
Stock Rooted
Anyone try this on stock rooted (I believe that Odex)?
I'm stock rooted odex. Gonna make a backup right now then flash this and see what happens. I'll report back asap and let you know how it went.

I don't think this will work on an odexed rom.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
......and that's why you make a backup. Had a feeling it was for deodexed only but figured I'd give it a shot anyway. Didn't work on odex, removed phone, contacts & messaging, but didn't replace. I've really gotta install a deodexed ROM.

So I flashed and my phone, contracts and messaging app were gone? What did I do wrong.
I think it's because im running black everything out mod.
Works great on Hyperdrive RLS 6! Love your work gadget!
