Okay got it rooted now I went to install ClockWorkMod with ROM Manager but my device is not listed
How do I make a RAW recovery image of this thing
I can get it into a recovery mod by holding the back button when powering on.
Is it possible to get help to maybes test a CM7 port?
I just want to lean this thing out for Kids Books, Internet/Email and possibly angry bird without skipping

So I want to to root my Vibrant but I can't...Every way I tried it needed to reboot my vibrant to recovery didn't work...
I tried GS Tweaker, ONeSuperClick, rom manager, terminal emulator.....
I got my update.zip file into my SD card but Im stuck with the rebooting thing
I tried all the ways of rebooting: the manual rebooting, Android SDK application... everything thing, I spent the whole day finding ways, watching videos and reading from vibrant wiki..
So what I reached to yesterday is:
while I was talking to one of the pro of android in one of the chat room somewhere, he said maybe because my phone needs "hardware updating" that the buttons can't reboot something like that (since I'm not in the states and I cant get OTA updates from T-mobile)... so I need to download ODIN and find Samsung drivers...
can anyone help me in this please?
try http://www.akaskriller.com/free/flashing.php
there are some files that you may need to ODIN. good luck, hope it works out.

Click to collapse
ok....thats weird
first try pulling out your battery.....then put it back in...then hold both volume buttons while you turn it back on w/ the power button....when the black samsung screen pops up let them go...the phone should go into the stock 2e recovery...
if you still want the drivers then here you go ....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728929
Odin and a nice guide on how to use it can be found here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849028

Hi i am writing this after i dont know how many threads i read, how many videos i saw especially after the noob video.
But all fail i need to ask the masterminds,
i was trying to back up the ROM and one of the guides stated to use nvflash for full recovery i tried to follow that but after shutting the tab down in recovery mode.
its not turning on at all, its not even getting detected to windows 7 or linux ubuntu.
i just bought this tab today and i badly need help
so please help.
i am sure i rooted the tablet.
but havent installed any roms on it.
thank you for any help
you're getting a bump because I am in a similar situation.
I had VeganGinger on my tab. Was tired of the market crashes and was going to NVFlash back to the original and *possibly* go to the Flshback Honeycomb.
However after following all the instructions for NVFlash my tab was stuck in the boot loading screen. I tried to power off and boot into Clockwork Recovery Mode based on the Gtab for dummies site. however it would not do that. So I also followed suggestions to flash again. This time it seemed that the bat that ran on my computer ran more stuff (great terminology I know - sorry). I figured, hey - maybe it was a bad install. but alas, it did the same thing.
Again, following Gtab for dummies, I tried their NVFlash file. Same deal. However here is where I hard bricked. stuck in the loop again. Can't leave it like that forever. So I powered down. Now it won't do anything. Nada - zilch - zero.
So now you know my whole sad saga.
So I now have a piece of worthless plastic?
I would GREATLY appreciate any help!
Oh - and darn if I wasn't worried about running out of battery while putting a new ROM on there, so the battery was finishing charging shortly before the brick.
Bought one of these sticks http://www.chinavasion.com/china/wh...ipp_II_-_1080p_Wi-Fi_1.2GHz_CPU_1GB_RAM_DLNA/
I know it's low spec but got it to have a play around with it, apps keep stop responding, is there any rom that can be flashed onto this! Or even flash to Linux xbmc?
It doesn't have a pinhole to allow booting into recovery menu, so would like to know if there's anything I can do to make it work better
Thanks
Hi guys, I've got this Android TV box, it doesn't seem to have a particular moddel number which I don't like but the only thing I can gather is its made by MOBOX, well thats whats flashed at me on the splash screen when I start it up. Anyways, I'm trying to root it and tried a few different apps like framaroot I think it was called and some others but no joy there, I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952028&page=11 and downloaded this file from page 11 http://www.4shared.com/zip/0E14ZavP/CWM-SuperSU-v096AML.html I jumped into recovery and loaded the zip but now the box wont make it to the home screen and restarts into recovery... I think I've screwed it up enough and don't want to do any more damage, could anybody help me please? Even if its to get it back on to stock ROM working as normal without root, I don't mind, just want it working now lol.
Thanks guys!
Hey lovely ladies and gents,
So here is the situation: I have an LG Optimus l70 MS323, which until yesterday was with a stock ROM. I banged my head against the wall, trying desperately to follow a guide and root it, along with trying to unlock the bootloader until I watched a video (in Spanish. Thank you high school spanish!) which used flashify to flash a CWM and boot to the custom recovery. I loved it, since that meant that I would be able to finally flash an official Cyanogenmod OS. The first ROM that I flashed was cm-13.0-20160121-NIGHTLY-w5.zip, which worked and made me feel SO HAPPY (I almost yelled Eurika for the sake of historical comedy). I then went ahead and installed an Superuser-SU binary update through the CWM recovery because I wanted to keep on having root. Then I installed a nano gapps package for ARM, Android 6.0 with some minor complications (mostly the "Setup Wizard" crashing every 2 seconds). I rewiped and reinstalled Cyanogenmod through CWM, flashed gapps on the same go, and made a little backup through the recovery menu. I booted up successfully to be met with that buttery-smooth GUI of Marshmallow (ugh, so good.) I decided to go ahead and fetch some apps from the Play Store, such as Messenger and ROM manager. I saw that the Cyanogenmod Update Center had pushed out a notification that the newest nightly snapshot is already downloaded and decided "Meh. What new features have been added? Let's reboot and reinstall." At that point it was 4:40am (keep in mind that I've been trying to get the goddamn phone to cooperate since ~10pm) and I noticed that the boot sequence takes up a lot longer and told myself "It's probably taking a bit longer than usual, it's normal." I put the phone next to my head, hoping that it's going to be ready to use in the morning.
Fast forward to 8:07 am. Bootloader is still going, phone is so hot it can cook an egg.
GNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH. WHY YOU GOTTA DO DIS TO ME PHONE?!??! WHY!?!
SO, the CURRENT situation:
1. Whenever I press the power button, it starts off normally. According to my definition of bootloop, it's stuck in a bootloop.
After hours of staring that goddamn cyanogenmod mascot do you realize that it's going to boot itself into the booting oblivion.
2. I don't have access to CWM. I have tried holding down the power buttons with godknowswhat combinations (I like to call them the Naruto Jutsu of pure despair). Maybe I should hold the buttons for 2 milliseconds longer and it might work. *Sigh*
3. I don't think that I can use fastbood or adb. My computer doesn't see the phone. (GNAAHHAHASDJFLSKDHFSLJHLKJ.)
4. I am totally clueless about what I should do or try. I've basically softbricked my phone and don't know how to unbrick it.
So, now that you see that saying that I'm frustrated is truly an understatement, what do you suggest I do?
In advance, I'd like to thank you SO MUCH for even giving a sh!t about my problem.
Other misc info: I have a 32GB SD card on which I have all the different tools I have used throughout this journey.
I am willing to have it back on stock ROM. My biggest goal is to somehow boot into CWM recovery. From there on, I will be able to deal with it. Until I come back to this forum, begging for mercy.
