[Kernel] Standard U20 kernels + libril files + Dual Touch modules - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Introduction
For long it has been assumed that any baseband (kernel) ending with 015 were the same.
However, during the development of GinTonic.SE slade87 discovered problems concerning high battery consuption when using WiFi on a mismatch of kernel and libril files.
Also paul-xxx pointed out that you need different DualTouch modules with different versions of the kernel (for instance with MiniCM7Pro v21 you get TouchBug if you use 2.1.1.C.0.0 kernel instead of 2.1.1.A.0.6)
Therefore I thought I'd upload them together for easy reference.
Beware that you do not mistake kernel/baseband with rom/firmware. When you update your firmware using SEUS it updates both your kernel and firmware to a certain version, but when you flash a custom rom it only updates the firmware (system partition). If you are uncertain of the kernel you have, just flash one of the below or update/repair using SEUS.
Installation
Kernels in .ftf format, flash using Flashtool.
Copy the .ftf into the firmwares subdirectory of flashtool, turn of phone, press flash button, select kernel, connect phone while keeping back button pressed.
There is no need to unlock the bootloader as these are standard SE kernels.
Copy libril files into rom's /system/lib directory before flashing,
or flash the libril_2.1.1.x.x.x.zip using CWM Recovery,
or copy them manually using a file manager/explorer.
Dual Touch modules go in /system/lib/modules
Files
2.1.1.A.0.6
U20_2.1.1.A.0.6_Kernel.ftf (6.15 MB)
libril_2.1.1.A.0.6.zip (437.19 KB)
cy8ctma300_ser.ko (14.03 KB)
2.1.1.C.0.0
U20_2.1.1.C.0.0_Kernel.ftf (6.16 MB)
libril_2.1.1.C.0.0.zip (446.95 KB)
cy8ctma300_ser.ko (112.42 KB)
Just make sure you have matching kernel, libril files and DT module.
AFAIK all the custom kernels are based on 2.1.1.A.0.6
Credits go to slade87 and paul-xxx

Excellant work. This should help a fair few people.

Didn't know there's different ones for A.0.6 and C.0.0 or that the differences are kernel-related? I thought it was a hardware-related issue?
-Edit-
Come to think of it, might be onto something here... Thanks Paul!

For 2.1.1.A.0.6 need another driver size ~14KB
For 2.1.1.C.0.0 need new driver size ~100KB
Otherwise will not work.

There are quite a few improvements in C00 compared to A06,
Nitroboy77 said:
@ zilexa: to answer your question, here is a corrected version by me (yes, i do speak this wonderful language too )
Changelog:
-10-20% faster system
-bigger internal memory: 156mb
-improved system stability
-Google android the correction of a gap integrated (this was the refreshing his capital reason)..dont know what's meant with this point..maybe this security problem with older android versions?
-15% uptime improvement (so you should have upt to 15% more battery..)
-Improved Timescape
-Laggolások his correction = sth. like: less lags
-Repairing the camera in a program = camera seems to be better

I believe there's also improvements in WiFi and GSM reception.
But what is more important is that you have a matching set of kernel and modules because if you don't you get a lot more battery drain, or touchscreen bug in some roms.

Edited Post#1 for better explaination (hopefully).

is it C00 is upgrade fw?now i am using A06....did i must(if i want) upgrade it with SEUS?

C00 is indeed an upgrade from A06, and whenever I connect my phone to my PC with A06 it asks me to update to C00, but that is not really the point of this thread.
It's more important that you have matching kernel and rom libraries.

[Q] Help Me! how to install Custom ROM?

First, my english is very poor.
My device is X10 Mini Pro.
M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
2.6.29 (Kernel version)
2.1-update1
2.1.1.A.0.19 (South Korea ROM)
I conducted this process.
1. mini pro 2.1.1.A.0.6 ROM install. (in FlashTool)
2. Rooting->install Xrecovery
3. [ROM] Cyanogen Froyo CM6-Latest (based on MiniCM/CM6v2) - v2.0 + DualTouch this ROM download (miniCM V2 with OC & HOTFIX)
4. file name "slade87_MiniCMv2.zip" to "update.zip"
5. In Xrecovery, "Install update.zip from SD Card" -> update.zip install.
6. Factory Reset & Reboot
But!!! my device is...!
M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
2.6.29 (Kernel version)
2.1-update1 -> 2.1-update1 no!!!!! (maybe ordinarily 2.2.1)
2.1.1.A.0.19 (South Korea ROM) -> 2.1.1.A.0.6
what is the problem?
Plz. HELP ME!

Whats the issue you are having? Are you sure you have updated to 2.1.1.A.06??
Sent from my U20i using XDA Premium App
Yes, maybe sure.
The "2.1.1.A.0.6" Rom file works.
and conducted that process (with your files)
then...
stayed in Eclair.. "version 2.1-update1"
what is the problem?
So you flashed minicm version? But in the device it still says 2.1?
Are you sure the zip file was installed?
After flashing it will say
Install from sdcard successful

or
U20i 2.0.2.A.0.24 Baseband 006.7z
What files should I install?

Baseband 56 from fw .42 is good for me in term of battery life but baseband 64 from fw .62 good in term of signal quality and overall quality.
And my best combination is bb 56 and stock .283 kernel.
Fyi, baseband is related to your region, what is good for me doesnt mean its good for you too.
Just give it a try.

Best combination is .42 baseband + .283 kernel. Epic battery life.
Can i use .283 kernel and then still install a custom Kernel ?
How can you check the version /firmware of your kernel ?
Will the version still be .283 then ?
Im new at this ^^

Hi all I'm from x8 forum, how i can install jelly bean on xperia mini pro(mango). When is it possible the easiest way and step for step guide.Thanks.:fingers-crossed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879982
There's no official jb for mango sadly. But there's an unofficial cyanogenmod 10 with some of jelly bean goodies for our device and a lot of ported rom over the dev section.
I recommend for you to take a look for sticky thread regarding flashing custom rom.
Basicly all that you have to do is unlock your bootloader, flash the kernel and flash the rom in clockworkmod.
If you encouter a problem, don't hesitate to ask question. There's a bunch of good folks around here.

It's not like CM10 is fully stable as there are some minor bugs...
Most bugs have been fixed for 2011 devices (see fxp changelog) ... And FXP team is working hard to provide a stable JB:thumbup:
According to my point of view, FXP 147 is the most stable version... With FXP kernel attached in download zip file...
But you can try MESA 2.3 or DDS kernel for a better battery life

I tried to download the leatest version and kernel of the rom ,but can't find the links.
Currently I'm using cm10 fxp 147 and kernel. The rom is stable enough for daily use in my opinion. U might consider other extended kernel e.g mesa or dds.
Bugs include front cam not working, soft button light and a couple of people experience bad battery drainage.

I understand but do not need to flash the kernel via flashtool.
U can flash the kernel using flashtool or from the fastboot. Make sure u install all the require driver and then u good to go
