i'll give it a shot.. will report back if/how well it works.

Success!!
This worked fine on 2 Photons with a couple of caveats...
1. I got a pink circle instead of green and the RadioComm user manual says:
Green Circle: This status means that a radio is detected and in USB Composite Device mode. (Motorola P2K Test Commands)
Pink Circle: This status means that a radio is enumerated as a USB LAN device and the socket connection was successful. (Motorola P2K or QC test commands in USB LAN mode)
2. After the first time hooking phones up and starting RadioComm, I got the pink circle, but RDELEM didn't work. Then I tried clicking the Restart button at the top center to force a restart of the phones and then the steps on the second graphic in the OP (RDELEM) worked fine.
Note: The USB mode that I started with was Charge Only, but after RadioComm does its thing it was in Motorola Phone Portal mode...not sure why or if it makes any difference...just sayin'.

It worked!!!!!!!
Only thing I had to do, I had to set the USB connection on the Phone to Motorola Portal.
I had to play with it a couple of times. Once i got a restart command to work, it was smooth as butter.

so im guessing this wont work on cm7 since you cant get to the moto phone portal option.. and also because i connected it and got a pink circle instead of green..any ideas to get it to work on cm7?

pink might still work...it did for me on stock rooted.

Pink circle really does not matter I think, give it a try and see what happens, try to change to one of the other modes, also, in the program, the mode should be suspend, on top left. My worked while it was on pink circle
PS. you need to input those values, the ones given on the second screenshot

Good stuff. ty Took a little while to get the hang of it, but I was able to obtain my MLS. I also got the "pink" light and then Green on test.
Very handy.

No it won't work with cm7, most of these things won't including data codes.
Has anyone with a unlocked bootloader with stock rom been successful?
Who is doing what with the data collected by that website?

what do you mean data collected?

well they are saying cm7 wont work, if you can somehow make the device to reboot using the command from the program it should work,
Or
give sprint a call and get it

Wow this worked. I got my MSL without calling in to Sprint. A few pointers for those that are struggling.
1) When you first connect your phone via USB to your computer, make sure you the USB connection is set to "Motorola Phone Portal". After you select Motorola Phone Portal, remove the USB connection and reconnect the USB to the computer.
2) On the right hand side you may see a Pink status circle. Don't worry you can still get your MSL. The status bar on the top MUST however must be green in order for you to get the Hex ID information or else it will say
RDELEM ==>FAILED
Driver answer ==> -256
Error Description ==> PST: Handle to device is invalid - no device present.
I had to issue a "RESTART" on the phone to get it to connect green.
3) Then follow the steps in the second and third screenshots to get your MSL.
4) Test your MSL code by typing in ##DATA# (##3282#) and click on one of the entries, click options button -> Edit and enter the MSL as the "Passcode".

Read my post about tips and pointers. Looks like you just need to restart your phone with the USB plugged in by clicking the "RESTART" button.

I tried hitting restart and nothing ..but I'm on cm7 and like they said I guess these things don't work on aosp roms like dialing ##DATA# doesn't work either
Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk

anyone try putting their CM7 loaded phone into RSD mode, recovery mode, fastboot, etc.. to see if they can get it to work ??
just throwing ideas out there....
if this gets it to work for anyone w/ CM7, be sure to hit that magic thanks button LOL

If you are on CM7, maybe just get it to connect, make sure you get a green or pink circle in upper right then make sure you have PST USB and USB:MB855 in lower left corner status bar and then manually reboot phone yourself...maybe that will get the connection you need to do the RDELEM.
Also, has anyone outside US with a phone not activated with Sprint tried this? Did it work?

Will this work if your phone isn't activated on Sprint?

it should work regardless of activation.

thank you for your work- don´t give up!
I wanted to try your patch but when I turn on the phone after pressing vol down and holding vol up (while it's turning on) I end up on a screen with a phone (with a windows logo) and a computer telling me to plug my phone to the computer. I did and it installed a pilot (which displays TSUNAGI) but no FTM option?
thank you miro and i can confirm it dont work in noksers wp7 rom nice try tho keep up the good work !
:< Maybe radios chips differ from each other, I got more signal with EDGE coverage even where wm6 couldn't do anything

well how it is that on his device the fux is working and on your don't? Have you tried on your other phone?
It's don't working because each radio got checksum/identificator which is differ. If bad checksum - No signal
What I did to fix:
Backuped my radio with Backup tab
Restored FFBoys QCN with Restore tab
Opened app named Service Programming from QPST package
Connected to my phone in FTM mode
Got into System tab
Clicked on Read from phone
Selected EVERYTHING and set Preffered mode to Automatic and Pref Acquiniston
order to GSM, WCDMA
Clicked Write to phone
Resetted and booted the phone and everything worked.
bottom line: your signal is normal now?

[GUIDE] Umeox x201 / MT65xx Smartwatch: Baseband management & tuning

Guide to follow once I get to my home computer.
This guide will cover how to backup, restore, and reformat your AW/TS/AX/IBC smart watch nvram and baseband information.
It will also cover tuning the radio to maximize tower connection efficiency and data throughput.
REQUIREMENTS
PC running Windows XP/7/8 or Virtual Machine capable of running Windows.
An X201 Umeox Unit (Includes Simvalley, Iconbit, Umeox, or Omate).
The charging cradle.
A USB cable and free USB port.
Maui META Tools, which can be found below.
The proper MOLY[region].ini for your region/device.
Android CDC drivers (most Windows 7/8 systems already have these installed, if not the download link is below).
READ THIS FIRST
Running these tools may void your device warranty, but the chances of a hard-brick are practically zero. In the event you somehow brick your device, try removing the battery first. If that does not work, you must use SP Flash Tools or MTK Droid Tools to restore your software! This guide assumes you have at least a basic understanding of PRELOADER mode and MediaTek devices in general.
What does this do?
Great question! Essentially the correct radio throughput and tuning will give you a stronger connection to your towers, allowing for proper communication between the tower and the antenna. You may see increases in data speeds (though it really depends on your area) and a decrease in dropped connections.
I am not responsible for what happens to your device as a result of this guide, but I am always happy to answer questions.
Step 1
First, you must make sure Quick Boot is disabled. Enter the accessibility settings menu and scroll to the bottom. Unmark Quick Boot and then power down your device.
Open up MAUI META tools using Compatibility Settings for Windows XP. You should see this screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Go to the options menu and make sure USB mode and connection are set to "META".
Click on "Reconnect" and then plug the device into the USB port. You should see the Splash Screen appear on the watch after a few seconds. If you are doing this for the first time it may take a little longer. If you don't see the red circle turn green and no connection shows, try a different USB port. If you can see the Splash Screen (it won't disappear) you are already in META mode and should have a connection to the PC.
Step 2
Once connected, you will see the fields populate with baseband information and it should say "Connected with target". Click on "Update Parameter" and the window to the right should come up. You can upload from flash if you want to back up your moly.ini file (it contains your stock baseband tuning information). When you are ready to re-tune, go ahead and click on "Load From File" and select the MOLY[region].ini file.
You may have to repeat this step a couple of times as MAUI is fickle on operating systems that aren't natively Windows XP until MediaTek updates.
Step 3
Click Download to Flash to continue. This may also need repetition but should work the first time.
Step 4 - IMPORTANT!
DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR WATCH PHYSICALLY FROM THE USB PORT UNLESS YOU WANT IT STUCK IN META MODE AND LIKE PULLING THE BATTERY OUT. CLICK ON DISCONNECT FIRST SO THAT THE SOFTWARE TELLS THE WATCH TO POWER DOWN.
Once that's done, you're set.
Congratulations! You've tuned your radio to the proper frequency. To restore just repeat the process but select your stock baseband backup or reflash the stock firmware in SP Flash Tools.
OP Updated. Second post to include downloads once everything is upped to its proper place.

Yes, I will be. Sorry, I've had a busy week.

No worries figured you had slow internet like me. LOL kept refreashing the page for a week now. J/k
2nd Post Updated with download links.
I cannot get past through "Download to Flash". Whenever I click "Download to Flash", it opens up a windows-open dialog box and once the moly file is selected it gives two error message boxes related to NVRAM.
Also, one thing I noticed that if you are stuck in META mode, you can do a reboot by issuing adb reboot instead of pulling the battery out.
Which file are you picking? The program is pretty fickle.

Sounds good. One question though - what file do you pick for Step #2 and Step #3. Is it the same moly..ini?
For loading the nvram you need to pick the AP DB file. The ini file isn't loaded until after, during step 2. I just got shipping info on the U.S. unit, so I'll be able to test soon.

[How To] SIM Unlock For GSM ZV4-ZV6 AOSP (ZV8 coming this week need testers)

IT IS NOT MY FAULT IF YOUR DEVICE(S) BREAK/MAKE A BACKUP IN RECOVERY TO GO BACK TO!
I need some testers to test the guide on ZV8 PM me if you want to test it. You just need to report back to me if it worked or not and what carrier(s) your using this on and what kind of connections your getting.
________________________________________________
ZV4-ZV6
Step 1:
Download "Shortcut master" pro or lite doesn't matter (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.shortcutmaster.lite)
Step 2:
Go into "Shortcut master" and click the little 3 dot (menu) and click "Search..."
Step 3:
Click the little drop down in the upper left corner and select "System apps" (Just to narrow things down )
Step 4:
Then on the line labeled "Enter text to search" (search bar/line) and then type "IOT" then click the "Search" button
Step 5:
Click on the option that says "com.lge.SprintHiddenMenu.iot.IotHiddenMenuMain" some options will come up click on the little star that says "Favorite" and then click "Launch" and grant shortcut master su permisson (The star just makes a shortcut on the home screen for quick access)
Step 6:
Click on Network mode and use the drop down menu to scroll down and select "GSM only" If done your signal bar(s) should have a little red "x" over them. (This part does not work on ZV8 but I am working to fix it)
Step 6
Click the back button until you get back to "Shortcut master" then search for "apn"
Step 7:
Click on "com.lge.hiddenmenu.vzw_only.ApnSettings" and "Favorite" then launch it like before
Step 8:
Create a new Apn I wouldn't delete any system one's you may end up not getting data or not being able to send MMS (pictures)
Step 9:
Save your settings and reboot (this way the apn and the radio(s) restart. If you really dont't want to reboot you can go into a terminal emulator and run these commands: su then press the enter key then type killall rild then press enter. This will restart your radio(s) the same thing happens when you reboot.)
Step 10:
Go to settings>roaming>scroll down for GSM settings (Check the GSM box and agree to the pop up)

Revert:
Step 1: Go back into your IOT settings and select system selection and change it one of the cdma options

FIXES-
HiddenMenu force close:
Some say there are problems with the hiddenmenu force closing I recommend that you install this copy of my hiddenmenu that I use View attachment HiddenMenu.apk. Install to system>app>. Also make sure that you have your sprint sim in while you do this then put in your other sim. This is from my stock g3 ROM so I guess (thanks lg for the apk)
It's not working at all:
For some this doesn't work at all I recommend you change your rom to this one it works for me http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/development/rom-stock-zv6-base-odex-deodex-t2949087 (Stock ZV6 I'm using the odex version).
Straight Talk fix (>>>maybe<<<):
For some with straight talk wireless they can not get it to work at all. So I was thinking and I was thinking and I figured that you could go into your dialer app and dial the following code (depending on ROM) here it is: ##update# (##878283#) <<< Cheat Cheat. This will reboot your phone and update your network profile/prl and might work or break your phone. Make a back up before doing this! UPDATE*You may want to use the cloudy g3 rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/devd...6315#downloads(make sure to download 1.2) its based of the international rom but may fix your gsm some members say it does. But you still have to follow my guideUPDATE*

I'm assuming this is for stock only?
Update I reverted to stock and followed all directions but it wouldn't read my T-Mobile Sim card.
Yes im using the stock zv6 try going into settings>roaming>avaiable gsm networks and select tmobile also correct the apn
I wonder what data connection options there are when on gsm? I think it's just cdma... no lte on gsm side correct?
Well i dont have anything gsm but I would think so
To see all connections go on the playstore and search "4636" should be the first one (looks like a blank android guy)
My is already unlocked and currently using Airtel India should i follow or use this ??
Will the phone still work on Sprint after this, or does this make it GSM only?

Can you please explain what that is (the screenshot)
Can you please post what carrier and network this worked for you on
That screenshot is showing my ls990 phone connected to t-mobile's hspa+ network. At my job i get around 12mbps... Not the best... But with sprint i have no call, no text, no 3g, no lte, in the same spot.... Im happy as hell ever since i popped in the sim.

Blu G8, Need help, turn off auto answer

Hi guys,
I’m currently facing issue with this phone where I can’t figure out how to turn off the auto answer on this device, please help!
Specs:
Phone Model: Blu g8, running in sc9863a
Rom: stock rom version - blu_G0170_V9.0.04.09_Generic 12-10-2019
Android pie (9)
Kernel version: 4.4.147
Non rooted device with locked bootloader
Here is my 3 month life story on this: I recently bought (in oct) this device from best buy (blu g8) deceived under the brand name blu v9, and brought this back with me to India to use it with local carriers. I have currently Jio and Airtel sims in this as it supports dual sim. The first thing i realize is this device isn’t supported by Jio network as it doesn’t turns on volte by default by the carrier and doesn’t registers this device as a 4g lte supported device. This was my 2 month project to try to figure out to make it work. Eventually after a lot of trial and errors, I found out through shortcut manager lite, there is a setting in gcf (for spreadtrum devices) under the name “gcf volte” upon clicking it, it forces the volte to turn on and then the network started to work for me.
This is where the problem lies, I tinkered soo much with this device beyond engineering mode (as the above setting isn’t visible in the EM app) that for some reason it turned on the auto answer feature via the gcf setting under the name “GCF RF” where all it shows is auto answer is: success.
Possible solutions: after all of this, I realized there was no other way to turn this off as the EM app always shows auto answer as off, turning it on and then off also doesn’t helps as still the phone gets picked up automatically in just one short ring (no bluetooth, no android auto, no special apps to stop or turn it on). I was left with no choice but to factory reset it. I did that, still the same issue. Even after FR on a stock rom, no google updates or even with updated google apps, this problem hasn’t gone till date.
I have also tried to root this device, take backups, tried to restore to another blu stock rom, but was never able to get it to working with any current solutions I researched for. Possibly its the spreadtrum version which none of these android softwares like spd, miracle thunder etc. supports. It always shows me the device drivers as connected but when ai invoke the spd or MT flash tools, it fails to detect the phone when it tries to connect to download the rom. Yes, the phone has authorization for the pc I’m trying to connect with and its a direct usb cable connection as I’m able to access the phone drive and sd card through my window pc. As you can see, I’m not the kind of person who doesn’t do their research and begs online for spoon feeding but in this case I’m leveled to do so. Please help experts, I’m new to Android Dev world.
My Ask: if you’re aware on how to stop the auto answer with above not included as your suggestion, please share. I also didn’t find the stock rom or the supported usb drivers with this current spreadtrum device and the pc software to work with it. I’ll need help with those too, if flashing is your option.
Thanks!
I also tried the “adb shell setprop persist.sys.tel.autoanswer.ms 0” command to set the auto answer off but no luck again
no as conseguido la solucion para el root
MOD Edit:
you have not got the solution for the root
Yes that is correct. I haven't been able to root this phone or unlock the bootloader still. (yes this is still me trying to work this phone).
How ever the auto answer has been resolved. I rest the phone to factory settings and used the Shortcut lite app to go to secrets codes for GCF Activity and turned on LTE setting (ONLY). This helped me turn on VOLTE function on this phone for my local JIO Provider.
HELP WANTED!: Still looking for ways to unlock the boot loader. The below is what I get when trying to use Fastboot commands:
F:\Android\platform-tools>fastboot devices
1070308019001034 fastboot
F:\Android\platform-tools>fastboot oem unlock
FAILED (remote: 'unknown cmd.')
fastboot: error: Command failed

Hello friend. I recently got my phone into a similar situation with auto answer on, and it is really annoying. The auto answer function in Engineering Mode is disabled yet the problem persists. Apparently, I have tracked down the function that enabled the auto answer through the GCF ACTIVITY function, but it doesn't offer any way to disable it. Please help me with what you did to clears the problem in your case.
NOTE: my phone doesn't have the LTE capability so I can't turn it on like you said you did on yours.
Also, I have included two screenshots to give you an idea of the options that enable the problematic auto answer feature.
The first screenshot below outlines the initial gcf.gcfactivity,
The second screenshot shows the resulting menu from the first step above,
The third screenshot shows the aftermath of clicking the GCF RF option from the second screenshot above, which shows a dialog box outlining the features enabled by that final step with auto answer as one of them.

Hi My Friend. Welcome to the painful world of A BLU Phone owner . From all of my lessons learned with this one, the best answer is reset your device and this would go away or if you have a latest version available to install, upgrade the phone. Also, in your 3rd screenshot, the last option enables the volte function and this is what I do always. Goodluck!

Question Severely broken screen - what are my options?

Hello,
My phone felt down from the 6th floor through the elevator shaft, ending up really damaged: broken screen (fully black, top left corner partly chipped off) !
Yet, the phone is not completly dead:
- The alarm keeps ringing at each time I have scheduled (several each morning )
- I'm able to switch off the alarm by by swiping left through the bottom of the screen, or by pressing the on/off button
- when I plug phone to my PC (win10) I can hear the bip-bip typical of a device connection, but nothing else happens
- On a PC on which the phone had never been connected, Windows recognised the phone and installed the drivers, but again Windows doesn't ask me what to do with the phone
- bluetooth seems to be working as the phone is seen as available by other devices
I'm trying to find a solution to access some of the data in my phone. Primarily the DCIM folder.
I would like to reboot in fastboot mode, as I believe I may have USB debugging on.
However I don't seem to be able to switch off the phone or reboot it.
Any idea how I could switch off the phone? Enter fastboot.
Do you think I could access the phone screen using an OTG device plugged to my computer screen via HDMI. If yes, which OTG device should I purchase?
Any other idea?
As a last resort, do you think it is possible to fully ripp-off the phone, get the flash drive and mount it somewhere in a tool that could be pluggin via USB?

Look for force reboot butto combination for your phone usually vol up/down + power button
The mounting option works but its quite advanced and you mmay need schematics or guess work lmao
You really don't want fastboot, you want ADB. Did you have ADB enabled before?
When it's connected to your Windows machines what is it showing? MTP (in File Explorer) or ADB?
Don't wait for Windows to ask questions!
Thank you for your help
When I connect my phone to the PC, there is just the connecting sound ("bip bip"), no ADB, no MTP
Since the phone screen is stuck to black, I don't know what's going on on the phone.
When first using the phone one year ago, I had activated ADB and used it to debloat the phone. I never removed ADB myself on the phone, but maybe it was deactivated (i don't know) after a system update. I would love to be able to check whether adb is still activated
When I type > adb devices in power shell with my OP plugged in, there is no device found.
So I believe this ADB option is off for me
Somehow USB debbugging must have been deactived
Also
Force-reboot doesn't seem to work
It may be that you don't have a Windows driver loaded.
Get UsbView.exe
The left pane should change as you disconnect/reconnect the USB cable.
Find the device that appears and disappears, select it, copy the contents of the right pane and post it here.

OMG, your device is showing as a MIDI interface.
Er, that's not good.
Did you root your device with Magisk? Do you have anything useful on your desktop, boot.img or the Magisk'ed version?
Did you have TWRP recovery or some other?

No, I've never rooted this device. Never even attempted (with this one), so no Magisk, etc. The only "tweak" I did with it was removing some bloatwares using adb (I did this one year ago, right after purchasing it).
A MIDI interface.... I don't know.... But an alarm clock, for sure
If we're talking about the OnePlus Nord 2, that's a MediaTek.
You could go to a cell phone repair place and let them put in a new screen.
You could buy a screen. You don't need to actually install it. You can just connect it to the old cable and leave it flopping.
I don't think that your device has video out (USB Type C alt mode of DP or HDMI or MHL)
You could pull a copy of your boot image using MTK Client.
You could get someone to give you a boot image or a Magisk'ed image.
A small tweak to the boot image would have it come up as ADB or MTP.

Thank you so much for your help.
Changing the screen is not an option, given my phone's current state of destruction... it looks like a miracle the alarm clock still works, and the phone is still responsive to wiping the screen to turn it off
I will have a look at MTK Client, but it may be beyond my skill. Would you have a link to a good tutorial? Also, what would be the "small" tweak needed to the boot image?
They call that format of a phone "candy bar", but that doesn't mean that you should nibble on the corner!
This is the open source (Python) MTK client: https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient
Hey! Any of you OnePlus Nord2 owners have a boot image to share? A Magisk'ed boot image would be even better.
