I searched and no one has mentioned this yet so I thought I would bring it up. Tokenparser has a public key, hash private key, and other info. Is this just used for auth in applications or is it used for something else? Does it have to do with signing the bootloader? I'm guessing its not that easy but thought I might check.

(Q) Domain name.
I know one is needed to develope apps. Do I need to just register a name for say like 10 Bucks a year..and that's it or do I have to also have to setup a website and such and pay the monthly fees to keep it running?

A domain name is not required to develop apps.
And it's also not required to publish apps.
Really I thought it was required in the manifest a domain name in reverse. Is it required to sell apps? I've made a cm7 theme using another devs as a template but it still has his domain name in it how should I change it.

Okay did a little more research its seems I need to register as an android Dev and get a private key is this correct? Also I used some elements and image pngs from other themes to create my theme is it cool to still publish or do I need permission.

Yes, the Dev account costs 25 bucks, and you need a keypair for signing your app, that you are creating yourself. The whole process is described on developer.android.com. Good places to start are Preparing for Release and Publishing on Android Market.

Whether a permit is required depends on the license.
This post is no longer relevant due to ss blacklisting.

This is just the apk you can install through package installer.
If you wish you could also add this to your thread.

just fyi, seems samsung killed this unless you are on a sgsIII now...
I've noticed. It was working great yesterday but now it just stalls when I try to do anything. Wondering if device specific ID has anything to do with it getting locked up?

I was able to modify the apk in order to send the "GT-I9300" string, so that I didn't have to modify my build.prop. Those that don't wish to modify build.prop, or can't (because you aren't rooted) can give it a try and see if it does the trick for you.

Of course, thanks to the OP, as I wouldn't have known what to modify without the information about the build.prop changes.
For the purpose of disclosure on what was modified, and for those that wish to make the changes manually, you can use apktool to decode the apk, then edit smali/com/vlingo/sdk/internal/deviceinfo/PhoneInfo.smali and modify:
"method public getModel()" and "method public getDeviceID()". Right before the return at the bottom of each function, put: const-string v1, "GT-I9300" (replace v1 with the value the return uses, v0 for getModel, v1 for getDeviceID.

install failed for me on the ics leak build.
Install worked, but it FC's on every command. But that is a problem still.

personally, im extremely disappointed.. if you even ask it something as simple as "what is the weather like today" you get force closed. as of right now AIVC and google play Vlingo app are winning the siri alternative race..
Was the successful install on a CM9 based ICS ROM?
My install just craps out and fails at the end when I try on the ICS Leak.

Running the 5-21-12 build of CM9. Worked for me.
For those who are getting FC after every command turn off the Voice response and try it. Both on my SGSII and my Note it works if Voice response is disabled.

If you dig floating apps then check out our completely revamped IM app, LilyPad HD. The app is now completely free to try for 3 days. After 3 days, you can either purchase the full version or continue using only Google Talk for free (with ads). Let us know what you think.

Price is missing!

First 3-days are free, then its i thought $2,99 via in-app purchase.
After the free trial you can continue using Google Talk messenger for free. Some features are reserved for the full version.

you should add, reinstall lilypad if you already bought it before
but the new layout looks great!
Good job!
Google's Dual Authentication is not supported. Anyone who's using google, has credit cards on it, and is not using dual authentication is not a smart person in my opinion. Uninstalled.

What are you talking about? Google's 2 step verification works perfectly. Did you bother to read the app description or the FAQ section in the app? You need to create a new app specific password. I have 2 step verification so I know it works.

Yeah I didn't know about that. My mistake, Lilypad reached out to me and explained how to do it. Awesome company in my view.

Made me think, do i have it on? NO!
Turned on, made app specific password, and voila, everything works, and my account is safe .
I've searched this, but all the ones I found talk about the app being opened, being opened in their app. I want to make an app that has nothing in it, no user interface, or anything, all that I want it to do is redirect to an app I have installed

The way android is set up doesn't allow one app to control another. It is a security feature

There actually IS a way to do that:
Code:
String packageName = "com.example.test" //enter your package name here
startActivity(getPackageManager().getLaunchIntentForPackage(packageName));
(add it to your Activity)
You would maybe need to stop your activity after that with finish();
I need help with droidsheep. Every time I download it and open it, it opens and the superuser prompt comes, but after that it just goes to a black screen and it stays like that. I have tried to download it from different web sites too, but the same thing happens. I am rooted on a verizon galaxy s4 on vruame7. Please help.

You mean droidsheep guard? Droidsheep itself is illegal and illegal stuff can't be discussed in xda
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Theres a 14 page thread about it already on xda so it must be ok to discuss. Its been there for over a year. Probably be better off posting there. Easy to find if you google it.

I did search on Google, but all of the ones that showed were on how to fix it if the app open, but for me droidsheep doesn't even open

Same issue
hey man im having the same problems as you are :/
Its really frustrating because i cant seem to find any more information on it. Have you had any luck?
I just installed Droidsheep guard on both my phones as I stay in hotels a lot and use open WiFi networks. It will automatically activate and protect your phone from malicious attacks when you connect to an open network, or any WiFi network for that matter. Its a small file that works in the background.

Yes!! I found you how to make it work!!! Just install busy box from the play store and install the latest version. Then download droidsheep again and try it. It works!
